I'll speculate dad wants police to believe maybe Codi put his flip flops on and snuck out of the house.
Maybe Codi has a pair he wears sometimes while indoors.
IMO it's not one of the important details. I hope enough was caught on security cameras to find him very soon.

Criminal and traffic cases are a state wide search. Civil and juvenile cases are such that you would have to know the county or city. For example, a civil case search in Hampton turns up several civil cases where Codi's dad is the plaintiff, but I don't see a divorce case or other civil or domestic court cases in Hampton.

I saw it too. However I do not think that's her real name. She is called another name by her husband in the birthday post.

I know! It's most exhausting to keep hearing about these poor children being (or possibly) harmed by their own families. WHY WHY WHY? I think it is just the ultimate betrayal to these children. The ones who are supposed to love, nurture, protect unconditionally. How could they possibly?

Right on.They know that the father is lying about last time he saw Codi, that it's not at 2:00, could he be also lying about something else? A 4 years old child alone on the street since many hours and no sightseeing at all? Hmm I don't understand that a child is missing and nobody knows exactly since when? Why this child? An dad can tell at 9:00 what Codi was wearing? The flip-flips in winter are so bugging me.

Codi was last seen at 2am with the clothing description of Spiderman flip-flops.That certainly doesn't add up. You usually see don't see kids wearing those at home at 2am. Even if they were out and got home, the shoes would have come off for bedtime and then he wouldn't have been seen wearing them. That immediately struck a cord with me.

I'm really trying to get the words out, but I can't. Poor Codi, this makes me so sad because he looks so sad.

Court documents uncovered by our team on Tuesday show an assault allegation made in 2018 against Cory Bigsby, Codi’s father. The assault claim was made by Codi’s mother.

She told police that during a fight, Cory Bigsby threatened to kill her. When she defended herself by grabbing a knife, Bigsby bit and choked her, according to the court documents.

The charge was nolle prossed, meaning it will not proceed in court unless further evidence comes to light. An official source tells WAVY-TV 10 that the reason for doing so is because the victim, Codi’s mom, refused to cooperate or appear in court multiple times.

This makes me so angry lately It’s hard to keep seeing there’s so many other options for parents . The people that notice somethings off for the love of god speak up save a child . I don’t understand how you can hurt your own child , since braylen I’ve tried to avoid childrens threads but sometimes something draws you in . Jmoo

-The other children's accounts?
-forensic? clothing, material in a the dumpster. Wasn't a mattress taken out of a dumpster? Not sure on that, I read it somewhere but don't remember where. Possibly speculation.
-no way for the child to get out of the house on his own, nor someone unknown entering?
-If there's a camera, no sign of the child outside that night?

I really would like to know, too, what evidence they have that the dad isn't telling the truth as he believes it to be. I know we're not entitled to that, but it would really be interesting to know.
