ICKEdMeL did a segment on this case. Nothing new new. But interesting clips.

Codi‘s part is near the beginning.

Here me out. Another segment from ICKEdMeL. He live-streamed the city council (?) meeting. You’ll need to fast-forward to where the lady in Yellow is speaking. She did kudos to the chief and it was sweet.

I had to stop following Codi's FB page due to that BLM clown. He is not doing anything good for Codi. That police officer showed incredible restraint and he did not deserve an answer after the way he was talking to her. Something tells me they've dealt with him before. MOO

The same guy disrupted the previous town-hall meeting and then apologized in the meeting I just attached.

It’s very unfortunate that this situation appears to have been hijacked by those who want a platform for reasons completely unconnected to Codi’s disappearance. I say that gently and with full understanding of the complex politics behind it all, but they really aren’t doing themselves or this little boy any favours right now.

Yes, this exactly. I don't believe for a second that he is in this for Codi and he's just become a distraction and nuisance. MOO

Noting:
  • The bond hearing for Cory Bigsby on Friday, Feb. 25 won't happen.
  • His attorney wants more time to review video of Cory at police headquarters.
  • After the circuit court judges recused themselves, the VA Supreme Court appointed a substitute judge for the bond hearing when it is held.
  • There's currently no new date for the bond hearing.

As search continues for Codi Bigsby, experts stress role of community in bringing him home | WAVY.com
As the search for Codi Bigsby continues into a fourth week, experts from the National Center For Missing And Exploited Children say now is the time to keep sharing his image.

Vice President of the Missing Children Division John Bischoff III says sharing his photo could encourage someone to speak out.

“Someone out there knows something and we need that person to come forward,” he said. “We need that person to report that information. Report it to law enforcement. Have it be investigated. And, who knows, it may just save a child.”

“As far as updates, we are still getting periodic updates, there is nothing new,” he said.

City leaders are urging volunteers to keep assisting investigators as long as they can.

“The spotlight is still on him and it should remain about him, and so we are encouraging all of our partners, volunteers, to don’t stop looking,” Brown said.

I used to watch my former neighbor abuse her 5 children then dress and makeup them up and take pics. By all accounts on fb they are the perfect family. (Yes other neighbors and I called proper authorities.)
How recent/cute/smiley pics are do not equate to a healthy situation. Select photos are not always the full picture. Jmo

Very good point. I'm thinking most all remember the Turpin torture, imprisonment and abuse? An excellent example of staging a happy photo.

Good point.

Which reminds me that my middlest used to look like Codi in the vast majority of his pictures because he HATED cameras. He'd run away and if I did get him to stop and look at me, he'd look like the tragic muse had stolen his best friend.

Codi does look very sad, but it might not mean abuse.

Photos are interesting; I agree with what others have basically said; some tell the story right away, others are very misleading.

Is the question of whether or not we are looking at photos of an abused child here in regards to questioning about whether there was also physical, sexual or psychological abuse? Because dad already admitted to leaving them all home alone hence the child neglect charges. Neglect is a form of abuse, so no matter what we think we can or cannot surmise from Codis photos, we ARE looking at an abused child.....aren't we?

there is no question in my mind about the photos. Just made an observation. It may or may not be accurate. But it is my belief that the neglectful acts we know of are not the only abuse this baby suffered. I don't think he wandered off, I don't think he is alive any longer. So that leaves me with someone unalived him. and that someone is Corey Bigsby. MOO.

It's kind of like when people point out bruises on a child who's missing and insist they must have come from being physically abused. It may well be the case, but sometimes it could just be normal kid bruises.

I counted about 5 bruises on my grandson's legs today and one on his chin, and he's definitely not abused, just a normal, fearless 2 yr. old!

I will concur Codi does look sad in most of the images. I just want to believe that wasn't his normal expression and maybe he just didn't like getting his picture taken.

I agree that if the charges are true, then there was criminal neglect that is abuse. And it seems pretty likely that that's the case.

I just don't necessarily think the photos themselves, as they've been presented, with no other context, are evidence of direct violence.

Hampton Police Chief Mark Talbot is holding a Town Hall discussion tonight from 6:00-8:00. Not sure what he is planning to talk about, but we are anticipating #CodiBigsby will be top of mind for many tonight as we approach one month of searching.

"It rapidly became a very intense and emotional investigation," he said.

[...]

Talbot says calling the FBI in just two hours into the investigation is not protocol, but they knew from the beginning something was wrong.

"I’ve never put more resources into a case than I put into this one," said Talbot who has been in law enforcement for 28 years.

[...]

Just two weeks ago, Talbot told the public that the lead detective on the case did not honor Cory's request for an attorney during a heated exchange.

On Friday, Talbot says that detective is still on paid leave.

[...]

He says the investigation has been emotionally very difficult for both the community and his officers.

"Some of the saddest moments of this investigation have involved seeing deeply into this child’s life."

Over the last month, police have continued to widen the timeframe of when Codi was last seen.

As of Friday, they still aren't sure.

"We’re still not sure when the last time somebody saw this child healthy and talking and playing. We still don’t know," says Talbot.

[...]

He says the main roadblock in the investigation boils down to one thing.

"The conscious choices of adults to not tell us things."

From Pommy's link above-

"Some of the saddest moments of this investigation have involved seeing deeply into this child’s life."

He says the main roadblock in the investigation boils down to one thing.

"The conscious choices of adults to not tell us things."

For community search teams asking for more direction on where to search, Talbot says that’s up to the people that loved Codi.

"I could give you more direction if the people who said they love Codi Bigsby gave us more direction.

The way Chief Talbot phrased the red quotes is telling IMO.

What did investigator's see about Codi's life that disturbed them? Also, he's not just talking about Cory ... who exactly is he addressing with the "adults" and "people" who surrounded Codi?
