It sure sounds like he is hinting that more "people" and "adults" than just Cory may know of Codi's whereabouts. Besides the sister and her ex-husband and an estranged wife have we heard of any other people who were possibly close to Cory and the kids? I know he has 4 older children with the estranged wife. Did Cory have a girlfriend, live-in or otherwise? I know bio mom is somewhat off topic- but the statement she gave to the media in light of what Chief Talbot stated, certainly makes me even more curious about the living arrangements of the children.

For community search teams asking for more direction on where to search, Talbot says that’s up to the people that loved Codi.

The way Chief Talbot phrased the red quotes is telling IMO.

What did investigator's see about Codi's life that disturbed them? Also, he's not just talking about Cory ... who exactly is he addressing with the "adults" and "people" who surrounded Codi?

RBBM. When I first read this sentence, it made me think about 2 things. The fact that Cory wouldn't open the door, and only talk through it to his neighbor, and the Turpin's. There's a reason people won't open their doors. They don't want people seeing what's inside and potentially smelling air that wafts out that is odorous.

The investigators HAVE seen the inside of his house. Could this one fact be what the bolded sentence is all about? After all, Codi lived in that house. I don't think they're getting disturbing info from Cory or his sister, or Codi's mom, although I could be wrong. I think they got it simply by being in the house, seeing what's there, and perhaps computer and cell data searches.

So now I'm thinking that the most recent pic we've seen of Codi is indeed him haunted about all he knows of his small world, and sad, and not a kid that hates having his picture taken. MOO

I also think that details that end up coming out down the road are not going to be pleasant.

Healthy and talking? I find that an odd way to word that as simply saying "the last time somebody saw this child", or "the last time somebody saw this child playing" would suffice. I find it very strange we have not heard from any other family. Where are the grandparents, aunts, uncles, the older children! Have they been told to not publicly show concern that a four year old is missing!!! I know things happen in the background that we don’t know about, but no pleas for his return or whereabouts being out in the media feels wrong. I guess this so called father is just like all the others with children missing in similar circumstances. If they actually cared for their children more than themselves this situation wouldn’t even occur. Moo

I struggle a little bit when it comes to the sister. If my brother ever did anything like this, I don't know if I could be on his side. I guess it would depend on the circumstances. JMHO.

I don’t think it’s about his mother either but I do think she has useful info and that info will play a big part in putting a case together. She’ll be able to tell them about background, communications, excuses that were made, all sorts of things.

I think the jibe is at Cory’s family. They seem to have become completely adversarial with LE and maybe that means they’re not being cooperative with their own background info. Like when they saw him. Speculation and MOO.

Yep. 5 year olds are old enough to notice and remember and maybe even repeat lies, but they’re not old enough to know how to adapt lies to fit questions framed in different ways.

There’s still no word on where Codi is, but community members are continuing to search for him in Hampton Roads. A small group of volunteers searched woods in the northern section of Hampton Friday.

One volunteer says it’s too early to give up hope and says momentum is still within the community.

Saturday evening, a small group gathered at the Hampton Soccer Fields in an effort to “light the way home” for the toddler. The fields are next to the Buckroe Pointe Apartments where Bigsby was last reported to have lived. A tribute has grown along a chain-linked fence, complete with dozens of stuffed animals, balloons and a giant poster.

It’s the location where SC of Newport News decided to invite people to gather to light a candle.

“Lighting the way home for Codi. We haven’t given up on him,” SC said.
