GUILTY VA - Codi Bigsby, 4, last seen at dad's home, Hampton, 31 Jan 2022 *dad charged* #2

  • #321

Family lawyer Amina Matheny-Willard is expected to hold a press conference at 1 p.m. Friday to share more information, specifically to talk about what she says has been inaction by the commonwealth in the case.
Insert eye-roll ...

Seven months later? This isn't about sweet little Codi, it's a PR move to benefit his Dad, who IMO disappeared him.

From the first Twitter link:

Bigsby will announce a new $25,000 cash reward tomorrow for info leading to Codi or an arrest. The family is “hopeful that Codi is alive and well” per the attorney of Bigsby’s father (who remains jailed on unrelated charges)

bbm

Seems to me that child neglect is related to a missing child, how about you?

I'm right there with you, Laughing.

They know the money is safe because no one can provide information that he is alive when they know dad was the last one to see him. JMVHO

Again, I agree with everyone else, they are all making it about Cory, not Codi. I wish that LE had not made the blunders that they did while interviewing him. That mistake just tainted the process!

They aren’t sharing the conference location until right before and apparently it’s being led by a “”cough”” internet reporter. The conference is all about Cory . On the other side there’s a group of women from a fb group outside wavy news bringing Codi to the front making it all about Codi. Ughhh the family is making it about Cory and strangers making it about Codi. I hope someone can get some justice for this boy jmoo

That unleashed tv is Bonnie and Lisa Chapman new show the matched the reward so it totals 25000 and ughh from what we hear are doing a episode on Cory’s rights . What a crock what about Codi . Jmoo

per the presser via Corey's attorney, the previous attorney hired by the aunt of Codi, he told them all to stay off social media, tighten up their accounts, don't engage with the public. Per her, they have wanted to speak and now will be doing so.

[eyeroll] Corey's sister has had plenty to say all while standing next to the attorney they now blame for their "silence" - sigh I am goign to keep listening but am already over it.

It's all LE's fault that Codi is missing, they didn't look hard or long enough and didn't allow enough volunteers from the public (only 50)

They've created a false narrative, overcharged Corey and instilled/created hysteria in the community. (the word hysteria is used several times)

Her opinion: When Corey went to LE to report Codi missing. He did not confess, when they couldn't get him to confess they denied him counsel, wouldn't let him leave. Claims this is a common behavior by that department and not an aberration. calls LE and the DA's office complicit in this corruption.

Now family is going to speak. Ms. Butler (Corey's sister) is speaking about how she found out. I am trying hard not to tune out. She is telling about all she has done to find her nephew and that LE suggesting that Corey and his family are not concerned enough about Codi is mean and unfair. She feels they are using Corey as a scapegoat to deflect from their abysmal job of searching for her nephew.

Uncle talking now. Lots of attention so far in this presser as to why no amber alert was issued. [how would they issue one? no suspect, no vehicle? I find this very confusing]

They kidnapped Corey because they wouldn't let him go. Then we got a lawyer and suddenly they want to charge him with child neglect.

They (LE) removed all the pipes and plumbing which tells me they think Corey killed him. They decided Corey killed him immediately so that is why they didn't issue an amber alert.

OK, I'm done here. No wonder we are giving this interview to the unleashed folks. A real presser would involve them having to field questions from journalists. This is simply an opportunity to put their own spin out without being challenged by all those pesky questions such as "where is Codi Bigsby?"

Aunt has prayed on it and God told her Codi is alive

RSOs live in the area next to Corey's neighborhood. Uncle is suggesting that LE didn't look into area RSOs

Only good thing outta that conference Bonnie Chapman looks uncomfortable jmoo

Aunt is talking about how Corey's family hasn't been allowed contact with remaining boys and that she and another family member are trying to get custody of them but the vetting process is still ongoing and they were told it could be six to nine months before that is completed.

Uncle, when asked about the charges for neglect: even if Corey did confess to leaving the kids alone, does that warrant 30 neglect charges? Does that cause him not to get bond? Deny him an attorney? Deny him the right to leave? [paraphrased]

Atty says when a child is left alone without injury, the common way to handle that is to get a safety plan in place, social services would get involved, etc. [she is missing the glaring fact that while we can't prove a child was injured, we KNOW one is MISSING and possibly dead] GMAB

One last post sorry this has just ticked me off so much but who in the heck offers a reward in a conference and there’s not one picture of Codi shown who does that . And Cory’s family saying the haven’t seen the kids in about two years but are trying to get them now . This was all PR for Cody just ticks me off jmoo
