What time did he first go over to her apt? He stated he tried to call her a few times with no answer. It must have been after dark, because he said the lights were off. What time was she to be at work? ...and why was he trying to contact her? The mother willingly gave him the key, so she must not have felt anything "hinky" about him. Does she have a car? Article doesn't say.

Hoping she will be found soon...and safe!

*****Can someone add her age in the title of the thread? TIA

I tried, but it's too late for me to edit
When i first posted the thread, there was mention of her age anywhere, which is why i didn't put it in there to begin with. I'll alert the mods and ask them to ad it in.

Friends Desperately Search for Missing Virginia Woman By JENNIFER ABBEY Today, 11:09 AM

Phylicia Robinson said she just wanted to get some sleep before her night shift at a Norfolk Wal-Mart when she left her mother's home Wednesday. But Norfolk police and Robinson's friends are now desperately searching for the Virginia woman who hasn't been seen since.

"It has to be the hardest days I've ever been through, this is like my sister and I can't find her," Robinson's friend, Shatika Kelley told ABC News.

When Robinson's family went searching for her Thursday, they found nothing suspicious in her apartment, but her cell phone, keys and wallet were on her bed and her SUV was still in the driveway. There was no blood or any sign of Robinson at all in the apartment. Friends said her disappearance is highly unusual.

Prayers going out to her family especially her son. I hope she is found safe. If the ex-boyfriend has anything to do with her disappearance he needs to give her family some peace by letting them know where she is. :(

That article is so sad....to think that she has no phone, no car, no keys, no money. You know someone had to do something to her. Its just awful. And I feel for her little son.
I just pray she can be found!

Snip:

Shawn Webb, the father of her five-year-old son, says he started to worry, so Phylicia’s mom gave him a spare key to check on her.

“Went in, looked around, everything looked normal, went to the bedroom I seen her cellphone and her keys on the bed, and you know all her personal belongings, money, ID wallet, so I’m really like, something`s really wrong here.”

BBM

I think if SW and Phylicia had a bad relationship, her mom wouldn't have given a key to him. JMO

Do we have any info about a current boyfriend? Or a recent ex?

If we are to believe the ex who saw her stuff on the bed, it would be unusual for her to put her own belongings there like that.

But that makes things extra strange. No kidnapper is going to collect her belongings and put them on the bed. No rapist or murderer, either.

Either she put the belongings on her bed herself or a not-very-sophisticated perp did, as staging. Why?

The only reason that comes to mind easily is that the person was trying to fill in a story about what took place at the residence instead of what really happened. So the real story that took place at the residence would throw too much suspicion on the perp, apparently.

In other words, it's someone she knows, and she voluntarily spent time at the residence with him/her before she went missing. Also, the perp isn't the brightest bulb on the string ;)

All mho, of course.

ETA: Ooooh, or she was never at the residence at all, and the staging was to make it appear that she had been.

My big point is that the items being there was staging, and the reason for the staging points to who did it. (Or the ex was wrong, and she dumps out her purse on her bed or something sometimes. The family and friends will have to decide that.)

The ex who found her missing is not on FB but his brother is...I'm not sure if I can post his page but he's on Phylicia's friends list and has the same last name as the ex. Some interesting wall posts on his page, including a reference to the suspicion surrounding his brother.

Here is another article (the only one I could find)

http://www.wvec.com/news/Family-friends-continue-search-for-missing-Norfolk-mother-173025561.html

Norfolk police are calling her case urgent. But officers said that they do not have any leads in their investigation.

Praying for you Phylicia!

I tend to agree it feels staged, and I think you might be onto something with the idea that she may have never been there but it was made to look like she was.

Did Phylicia normally carry pepper spray? One time I had just gotten home and thought I heard someone in another room. I quickly dumped my purse on the couch and dug out my canister of pepper spray. Fortunately there was no one else in the house, but I'm wondering if perhaps something like that happened to Phylicia. She walked into the bedroom, heard someone in the house, dumped her purse on the bed and grabbed her pepper spray (or some other weapon).

I'm just thinking out loud here, and trying to come up for a reason why she would have dumped her purse on the bed (if it wasn't her normal habit to do so).

Very sad! I hope Phylicia is found soon.

I carry a big purse with lots of items in it. Sometimes I will just throw my phone in my purse. When my phone rings I sometimes can't find it right away, and if I know it's an important call, I will dump all my things in one spot to grab my phone quickly. Then again I have a 5 year old and 3 year old...lots of small toys, pull ups, wipes case, snacks, etc are in my bag. Just puttin that out there.

& I live in Hampton...so I've been watching this closely. Still no new info on her case. :(

Bumping for Phylicia, it's now been a week and she's still missing :(

NOTHING new in the media, which makes me angry. They did a couple stories on it early on, but that's it. This is a 26 year old woman-a single mother to a little boy who needs her. Where is she??

  • #39
I wonder what Walmart she worked at in Norfolk?

Any news? I wonder if the family and friends are trying to give interviews and discuss this more with the public? I hope so! It's so hard to rally support and help without the story being in the news a lot.

Phylicia, where are you? :(

Nancy Grace should jump on this story; it sounds exactly like the kinds she covers a lot. Unless nobody will come on her show about it, or unless she's uninterested (she'd better be!!!).

We should be hearing more about this!
