With where he lives he may be a bushcraft hobbyist or some such but I agree on the weather as camping in this would take some serious prep.

Turner's family attorney has now revealed how the 46-year-old left his car, keys, contact lens supplies, glasses, prescription daily medication and wallet - with his license and all of his cash inside - at the house at the time of his disappearance.

That would seem to indicate he intended to self harm. What about his cell phone, no mention of whether he had possession of that?
