I so feel you! I was thinking almost the same thing! I just want to erase it from my mind and my computer! ; /

My mistake. MBB sister said she never lived in NJ.

that site is known to have errors-I think we tried this linkage before--MC did state on WS a few times the info was inaccurate and that she never LIVED in NJ. I also asked her, and she re-stated firmly she never LIVED there---I failed to ask specifically if she may have gone for just a bit-- However, she may have gone there for a bit with the intent of staying long term, but decided not to stay-Or maybe planned to move there, started to have mail forwarded by doing a change of address with the post office, but never went--( I have done that before, and that address showed(still shows) up on my credit report--If she went for a bit, perhaps she may have set up a utility under her name for roomies or had a bill of some sort mailed there while she "visited" for awhile, and that is why that site picked up her name at that address--If she was there even for a bit, TF's (and other's)poi would have another linkage

Excuse me if this was already mentioned. I was discussing the Port Authority Bus Terminal with others in another discussion and I am not sure if all of you know about how much construction was going on in 2007 around the bus terminal where MBB went missing.

From the NY Times November 2007;

There is certainly plenty going on at this once sleepy crossroad. Across Eighth Avenue from the terminal’s north wing, SJP Properties is building a 40-story office tower. Another tower is in the works on the north side of 42nd Street, just west of Eighth Avenue, where 1199 S.E.I.U. United Healthcare Workers East, the hospital workers’ union, is close to selecting a developer for its property, which comprises three adjoining parcels that extend to 43rd Street.

And farther north, Local 6 of the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union is about to put its property — the entire blockfront between 44th and 45th Streets, on the west side of Eighth Avenue — on the market. Like 1199, that union wants to remain in place but take advantage of the real estate market to raise money.

The New York Times recently completed its new tower on Eighth Avenue, opposite the bus terminal’s south wing.

A number of residential buildings are being built on Eighth Avenue north of 42nd Street.

Maybe this will help someone figure out a link between construction around the Port Authority and construction out on Long Island (like on the bridges?).

**BUMP** this is the key case of the 4--something here i know it

What makes you think MMB holds the key? Speak now or forever hold your peace ; )

I am very interested, because of all the identified victims , she seems to be the one who : ( gets the least attention here.

Without going back and re reading, I think I remember one thing that stands out about MBB and that is I don't remember ever reading @ her having a "boyfriend ", "pimp", "driver".

She seemed to be flying solo.

Correct me (please) if I am wrong.

Couldn't agree with you more, CM. The fact that Maureen had already checked out of her room when she encountered LISK just drives me crazy. She was big on doing hotel incalls because of the security cameras, so the idea that she was doing an outcall for a regular just doesn't sit right with me. I suppose he could have offered her a huge sum of money she couldn't refuse, but every indication we have is that she was calling around to find a ride home. If she had arranged an outcall, when was this to have taken place? Doesn't fit, imo. I also highly doubt she was abducted from such a busy public place. In my mind, she went with LISK willingly, and the only way I can make that work is if she knew the guy and he had agreed to take her back to CT. So was he a friend or a regular client? We know she was calling friends and family asking for rides, so it's not impossible this was a friend or acquaintance. But I also wonder if, at some point, she got a call from a regular looking for a date and offering a large sum of money. She had already checked out of her room, so an incall wasn't an option by then. Perhaps he talked her into an outcall and upped the ante by offering her a ride back to CT afterwards?

And her cell phone pinging to LI months after she was already missing...was she still alive then? Was she ever alive while in LI? And if so, did she know then that she was in trouble, or did she simply think this was a pit stop on the way home to CT?

So many things we don't know wrt Maureen. I can't help but feel that if we could nail down some answers in her case, we'd all have a massive "AHA!" moment. :banghead:

MK, I just had a little "AHA" moment.

MBB's sister said that MBB, AFTER being robbed, had made her money back.

IF SO, why was MBB so desperate to get a ride home vs. taking the bus or the train?

What time was it?
Had she missed the last bus or train of the evening?
Or, did her last job spook her?

I always wondered who introduced her to the business. For some reason I think there is more to the story than simply answering a modeling ad. (jmo)

If memory serves, I asked Mel about that, and I think she told me Maureen had the money for the bus or train, but didn't want to spend it. But, the fare isn't very much money, is it?
