Alex Hunter was known to have said he wanted a sure thing a confession. Again I point out that a sure win would have required what the law cannot demand, that being one spouce to testify against the other. This is a prime example why to this day they have never prosecuted. As long as John never testifies to the truth of that night they can bring no charges against him for any role he may have played and Patsy can no longer break her silence or confess. What remains is what Burke may or may not have known or will ever speak of. That is only my opinion. Didnt John say there can be no victory? I cannot help but wonder the true meaning of that statement. They were christians and the bible teaches that there cannot be forgiveness without the first confession ...... I cannot know if that is what John meant or not. I have wondered though.

Hunter should have been more cooperative with the BPD, in my opinion. I do agree, based on what's available to the public, that the case was probably not prosecutable in the early days but, on the other hand, had the DA's office been more efficient in it's duties, perhaps the BPD could have provided enough additional evidence to get the DA's office to present an indictment.

In some ways, I suspect justice probably was done. The Ramseys had to have been living a miserable life at least internally. I imagine they were scorned and unwelcome in many places. I also doubt JonBenet would have been happy if one or both of her parents or other family member had ended up in the pokey.

CK-I do agree. JR did not get to the top, by being "slow" He is clever, and any shortcomings regarding the law was looked after by the lawyers he hired. With regards ro BR, imo he will probably not speak about it any time soon. I really don't think he could have slept thru the noise thaat must have went on that night.

I agree with you. He said he heard noises and creaking. He heard them losing their minds. Even if they were trying to be quiet, there is no way. Hell was in session. Just the act of carrying her to the basement is insane. Insane. And she was carried. She had the green garlands from the staircase in her hair. Someone carried her down the staircase that the note was left on. So she was unconscious when she was carried down there.

I really never gave that much thought before. More and more I bellieve that Steve Thomas was right. She was hurt in the bathroom and the staging in the basement later.

Solace, I keep coming back to Thomas's theory too. The evidence supports his theory and I feel sure he knows lots of things that have never been made public. I can't find one flaw in his theory based on evidence that is available to the public. All the Intruder theories are based on hypotheticals and could-haves, probably-so's and only-ifs. Thomas based his theory on the evidence he gathered in nearly two years of investigating JonBenet's death.

I think that ST was right too...I have said all along that she was injured in the Bathroom, and THEN I believe that she was placed on the bed (and that's where the blood on the pillow came from, bleeding probably from her nose or ear...or possibly her mouth). For those of you who haven't read Patsy's 98 interview, please do so...she is questioned about a blood stain on JB's pillow, and asked if JB ever had nighttime nose bleeds, to which she answers NO. I have posted, awhile back, a medical website link, that stated that in case of a severe head wound, there is bleeding from the mouth, ears and/or nose. I believe she was placed on the bed, while Patsy tried to revive her. (I also believe thats the reason that JB's pillow was found at the foot of her bed, Patsy had at first laid her head on it, she bled, Patsy moved it to the foot of the bed, to lie JB out flat, because experts tell you to either lie flat, or to hold your head back when you have a nose bleed)...and I also believe that when she couldn't revive her, that Patsy's screamed, and that is the scream that the neighbor heard. I believe that probably after that, she went and got John, (or he HEARD her scream) and HE is the one that carried her down the stairs...to the basement, for the staging. I don't believe that Patsy would have had the strength to carry her. My daughter is almost six, and is skinny, but she would be way to heavy for me to try to carry down a spiral staircase, I would drop her for sure.

Here is what I think, I believe Jon Benet was instantly in heaven and in the presence of God. In that instant what happened here on earth was no longer important in any way. God cannot condone sin and those in His presence give all honor and glory worship and praise to Him and He who provided for their salvation. I am trying to word this carefully. So as to offend no one. I think it no longer matters. It is now a matter between God and the one who took her life. She is in a perfect state that we humans on earth have only a flawed understanding of. I mean no offence to any who would believe differntly.

I agree, and I think God is protecting her from knowing how her parents have done nothing but betray and dishonor her to the inth degree, and still do to this very day.I think she knows nothing about it and about how they (and all the others who have knowingly betrayed her),will stand before God and will be held accountable for it.Anyone who's been through anything bad will tell you that you can NOT get away with causing such grief and hurt and anger and pain and not be held accountable for it in the next life.NO way.I hope I've given them all something to think about.

I think so aswell Solace. Police don't just ask questions about nosebleeds unless there was some blood found in her room .

Thanks jmo8778 maybe I will have to try that. It seems I am logging in 3-4 times a day anyhow. (oops that almost spounds like an addiction)

YW,and welcome to the forum ! It can easily become an addiction of sorts if you like true crime.

This is what I believe:
JBR is in heaven. She sees and knows all that happened to her and her family. She understands with timeless wisdom why this short life was chosen and how her life and death impacts the people in her life. She is not 6 years old over there, but has the wisdom of every lifetime she ever lived. Her pretty, tiny body was only the vessel she needed to live here in this time and place. She is pure energy and innocence. She is blessed with the power of complete forgiveness. She knows full well what awaits her killers when they too pass over. And I would bet my life that whatever plane she is on ("In My Father's house there are many mansions"), her mother PR is NOT there too.

I have never ordered anything from EBAY, in my entire life....nor have I ever been to their website. I know what it is though, but one day...I got an email saying that my credit card was going to be debited, and that my order was on its way!!!!.....HUH!?!? What order?? I didn't place an order!!! Or give them my credit card number!!! I just emailed them, and never heard back. The product, whatever the heck it was, never arrived...and as far as I know, my CC was never debited.

Ames, don't ever click on any links in these kinds of e-mails- don't ever e-mail them back either. Just forward the e-mail (it is OK to open it, as long as you don't click on any links) right to [email protected].
When you get spoof or phishing emails from banks, they use logos exactly like the real ones. All banks use the same address for reporting these:
[email protected] ([email protected]) etc. just substitute the bank name. These spoofs come to people even if you have never had an account there.

Amen to that! I believe that Jesus died for all sins, but before forgiveness is possible there is the matter of confession and of repentance. I hope
that takes place before its to late. If there is true repentance there comes accountibility. Regardless for Patsy the matters are settled.

Amen to that ! I don't see how Patsy could ever think that she could betray her till the day she died and then have her come running into her arms at the moment of her death.arrogance makes it own rules, for sure.

Great post DeeDee!

JonBenet could have been carried down the other staircase. It isn't spiral.

If the spiral staircase was decorated with garland, the other staircase to the second floor probably was too. After all, it was in the front of the house where people would be more likely to see the decorations. I don't recall if I have seen a picture of it.

I don't believe that Patsy would have had the strength to carry JB down either staircase. My daughter is almost six, and weighs almost the same as JB did (only a little bit less), and I cannot carry her down the stairs to her room, if she falls asleep on the couch, I have to wake her up and make her walk. Its hard to carry a sleeping or in JB's case, unconscious, child down a flight of stairs, regardless of what kind of stairs they are. Patsy was not a very big woman, I just can't imagine HER carrying JB down a flight of stairs. She may have DRAGGED JB down the stairs, but, Burke or John would have heard that. I believe that John carried her down, just as he "CLAIMED" that he carried her up to bed, when she had fallen asleep in the car.
