Because the arraignment was in district court and they cannot accept a guilty plea if it is a felony charge. Unless he was indicated and he was not indicatedHow does someone confess and then plead not guilty? I didn’t even know that was an option.

Hi LookingForClues!
I would like to thank you for posting the link!
In that link it states that it was a converted bus not a camper.
Last night I posted about believing that it was a converted church bus. It was being reported last night and this morning about being a camper. But I knew last night after speaking to a friend of mine there that it was a converted bus.
The bus was once a church bus from Trinity.
Of course last night I did not have a link because it was being referred to everywhere that it was a camper. Big thanks to you for posting that link
PS hope this post was not too long and drawn out.
It does appear he went back to VT to dump her body pieces. He went home to NH, told his story and then went back to VT to clean out the van is my guess. He certainly couldn't leave the van there, his friend was bound to look in it eventually and find the evidence.
What's so strange is he actually lives in a part of NH where he has easy access to more remote places than in Northern Vermont. He lives near many large lakes, the White Mountains, even all the logging roads in Maine's North Woods. Why go back to Vermont and to a house that's right in town with tons of neighbors and no privacy? Maybe one of his friends has a boat and he planned to go out on Lake Champlain to dispose of her remains? The deepest part of the lake is 400 feet. Still wouldn't be my choice, the deep forest in the middle of nowhere makes more sense to me.
Hi there LookingForClues! You're welcome. I remembered your comment about it being a converted bus, and the photo with the article makes it very clear that's true.
Interestingly, in the photo it has a Vermont plate, yet they supposedly lived in the bus on her parents' property in NH. And police repeatedly refer to both of them as NH residents. So is the bus theirs, or did someone lend it to them to use? Clearly they have connections in Vermont, so they might be borrowing it. But I think it's important to know who owns it.

Hi LookingForClues,
He lived in Vermont before and had a lot of friends in Chittenden County. He worked at Body Art Tattoo shop in Burlington prior to moving.
id say 99% of defendants do that. How does someone confess and then plead not guilty? I didn’t even know that was an option.
I don’t know if we’re dealing with a serial killer or possibly two generations of people killing their wives, but either way this development is wild.Pennsylvania authorities probe VSP on Ferlazzo, possible cold case connection
"We now know his stepmother was murdered in Pennsylvania in 2009, and police haven’t found her killer.
Pennsylvania law enforcement noted the possible connection and reached out to Vermont State Police when they heard of Emily’s death."
I wonder if Ferlazzo, Sr. has been cleared in the murder of his wife.I don’t know if we’re dealing with a serial killer or possibly two generations of people killing their wives, but either way this development is wild.
