Thank you dark_shadows and LionRun for your sweet comments!

Dark, I can't imagine why O'Reilly is taking that ignorant stance on Shawn. I really hate that he is voicing it though!

Maybe people should also write to any politicians who are in opposite parties of those who are in office in Vermont. I would be willing to write emails and sign any petition. Here in Texas, little children are going to Juvie jail and alternative schools, and freak perverts are allowed to go scott free in Vermont. Well, actually, a serial killer here in my town is not being prosecuted either so maybe there is something going on nation wide and we just aren't hearing about it as much as we should. Vermont seems to be the absolute worst though. Something needs to be done.
Sorry Txsvicki,:) try the link again ok.

Dear LionRun,
Thank-you for your help. I am thankful that Bill has helped this state the way that he has. But I am upset about what he is saying about the Shawn Hornbeck case. O'Reilly states that he wants to protect kidnapped children in this article dated july 18,2002. Protecting America's Children

He says this;
Each year in the United States, about 100 children are abducted by strangers, according to the Justice Department. Most of the kids are recovered alive.

So why is he questioning Shawn????

It seems Bill O'Reilly has cemented, rigid ideas and beliefs on most things. I also think that he lacks imagination. If he can't imagine something happening a particular way, to him it does not happen.

He thinks of himself as a strong, unwavering man, and he is. He has probably been this way since his youth. By itself it is a quality. But, he mistakenly probably thinks it could not have happened to him at that age, so all others should be able to withstand any attempt at brainwashing or mentally overpowering by an abductor. He cannot conceptualize it, therefor it is not real or true.

First off, pedo perps who plan to keep the child to habitually abuse them often tend to choose children of a certain demeanor--unless they are craving a child and the only one they can get their hands on is tenacious, overly confident child. More often they choose submissive, easily intimidated, easily controlled, or non-confrontational children--its easier to mentally enslave them.

He thinks that once a child reaches a certain age, they have a voice, a mind, and a body to make choices and to act on them. To him, mental imprisonment by an abductor does not exist or is too minimal to be considered as an overwhelming factor in why victims don't escape.

Most of all he thinks that if a person is not being physically restrained there is no excuse not to escape, and that something devious must be going on within the victim for that person to stay.

I think O'Reilly lacks the ability to think outside the box in matters of human behaviour and understanding. I have seen this before in him many times. I think he thinks in a linear fashion, with 2 + 2 = 4. But, sometimes 2 + 2 = 22, and that blows his mind, and he either dismisses it or is dead wrong about the, "why".

I think sometimes he hits the nail on the head. I am glad he is speaking out about laws and or judges that are deplorable. This is good and helpful to us all. His linear, rigid thinking is usually not a problem in black and white cases.

All that I have expressed is solely my opinion, and I am sorry if my words upset those who have deep respect for Bill O'Reilly.

Wow. I never thought I'd have so much to say about Bill O'Reilly. I am sorry to have gone on for so long. I am angry and profoundly disappointed in him. I will not be watching his show again.

Best to you dark shadows

Lion

Remember that idiot judge at election time. There should be a complaint board regarding judges, most states have them. We had a few judges out here repromanded for unprofessional behavior in the court room.

The supposed sentence that judge gave that pedo is disgusting.

If you like where you are stay there. We like your reporting. Even if some of the things suck. I am from Louisiana originally....land of serial killers.Have been in Georgia for many years. Can't find missing people worth a flip here even if there are clues.

So, every State has its foibles. Maybe we are in these States to report on them...hadn't thought of that before.

You haven't seen any state which coddles sex offenders like Oklahoma!! Judges and jurors make absolutely no sense here. Check out this particular case involving an 11 year old female being sexually molested/abused/raped at the hands of her mother and her boyfriend. It began when the bf stabbed the mom with an ice pick and she entered the hospital. She started telling everyone these horrific stories. They arrested and tried them both, but check out the sentencing! She gets life and the BF gets SIX YEARS for the same rape!! (I sent this case to our pal, Nancy Grace, years ago...but she did not respond.)

On 1/08/03, Dina Craine, aka Dina Christimas, and whose legal name appears to be Dina Sue Courville, age 34, of Tulsa was arrested on complaints of sexual abuse of a minor and permitting sexual abuse of a minor to occur. The cases involves allegations that Craine repeatedly sexually assaulted her 11-year-old daughter and held a pillow over her face to quiet her screams while the woman's boyfriend allegedly raped the girl. Also arrested in the case, was Craine's boyfriend Thomas Wesly Steelman, age 36, also of Tulsa. Steelman was charged on 1/08/03, with three counts of sexually abusing the child and one count of assault with a deadly weapon for an alleged attack on Craine. She was hospitalized with a punctured lung on December 28, 2002. Police reports indicate that in an interview with police Craine admitted that she orally sodomized her daughter numerous times as well as committing other sex acts upon her. While hospitalized Craine told police that the sexual assaults upon her daughter by Steelman had been video taped however police were unable to locate such a video tape but did turn up various 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, none involving the child, during the investigation. The girl told police that while her mother's boyfriend raped her, her mother held a pillow over her face and fondled her. Craine remains jailed under $100,000 bond and Steelman is jailed under $150,000 bond. Preliminary hearing for the accused was set for 2/19/03.

We have a judge currently serving a sentence for being convicted of using a penis pump during actual trials! Talk about UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR IN THE COURTROOM!
