Nice. Mom says step-dad is the one who "wasn't going to believe it was his little girl." That makes it sound like he cared. He called her "the little girl" and "the body". He never referred to her as Adre'Anna. Is that someone who considers her his little girl? What about the alleged abuse by him against her? Even if he had nothing to do with this, he is not the man this mother is trying to make him out to be. Whatever happened to this beautiful child I think it's safe to say she didn't have the greatest home life and now the mother wants to cover that up.

Adreanna's skeletal remains were found last week in a vacant lot across the freeway from where she lived. A couple of boys playing found her. I am still stunned by her loss. She was such a little angel. I can only think thaat God, in his wisdom, brought Adreanna home to a better place.

Hello Mississippi Tom(My family is from the NE corner of Mississippi). There is a video link @KING 5 news website. There has been no new news in the investigation. There was some talk that the medical examinator would have information of how Adre-Anna died. But so far I have heard nothing.

I don't know about anyone else but the interview with the mother just leaves me cold. I understand that her mother has been ill but why did she wait a week to come home after she got the news that her daughter's remains had been found? And why talk about people pointing fingers at them, etc. Maybe someone had asked her if she felt like her and her husband were being singled out...I don't know...but when people start getting defensive over the murder of their child it really makes me wonder. Ricky Holland's parents did the same thing. Maybe it is just that I know these parents weren't the best in the world and it seems that their priorities were mixed up. I won't be surprised if at some time we find out who harmed this beautiful little girl and it turns out to be someone real close to her.

The potential witness was arrested on other charges, and he was in jail on December 2nd when she disappeared. I don't think he will be a lot of help unless her body was moved to the vacant lot later and he can identify who put her there.

Web Exclusive:KING 5 Interview with Spencer Grant

On Wednesday, KING 5 News reporter Paul Aker talked to Spencer Grant, the transient police arrested in connection with the death of 10-year-old Adre'Anna Jackson who disappeared on Dec. 2 and whose remains were found April 5.
KING
Spencer Grant
Police arrested Grant on unrelated warrants early Tuesday afternoon after getting a tip that he had been in the Tillicum neighborhood.
Police did not call Grant a suspect, but said they believe he may have information about the vacant lot where Jackson's remains were found.

Grant told KING 5 News he was the first to find the skull, but at first thought it might be dog bones. He said he later realized they were human bones and he told others about the find, but nobody reported it until the two boys found it.

"I seen that the teeth, they were all capped, so I thought it was an older man," Grant said.

Find out how Grant made another important discovery that led police to further search the area at 5 p.m. on KING 5 News.

This is the only the only new information in the KING 5 interview. There is also video of the interview in the link.

This is a excerpt from the interview:
...And Grant may have given police one other bombshell Tuesday just after his arrest. He told detectives about another find he made on the other side of the field.

"I found some clothes that were little girls' clothes in the trail up there," he said. "Kids clothes, young girls' clothes."

Grant said the clothes looked bloody.

The Lakewood Police Department cannot yet confirm how the clothes might be connected, but the Department has sent them in for forensic testing.

Grant says he's just glad it's all over.

Even though Grant says he's sure those clothes were bloody, police say they didn't notice any blood. And while they do agree they are a child's clothes, police say they found a lot of things out in that field. Therefore they stress they don't know what this means.

Grant says he believes the police have someone they suspect, but have not yet arrested. Police say they have more than one person they're considering.

Grant himself could have been involved in the crime because he was in jail when Jackson went missing.

KIRO 7 website has a story titled"Police hold potential suspect in death of girl".

LAKEWOOD, Wash. -- A man with a long criminal history, who is known to Adre'Anna Jackson's family, is a potential suspect in the girl's death, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

The man is someone police are "looking at very carefully in the long and frustrating investigation" of the 10-year-old's death, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Kevin McCarty said.

The 49-year-old man was convicted of rape and is being held in the Pierce County Jail on charges of failing to register as a sex offender.

Lakewood police said the man is among several people they are investigating, but officials would not comment Thursday directly on the investigation.

The potential suspect is an associate of Adre'Anna's family and was someone she knew prior to her disappearance, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported. His whereabouts on the day Adre'Anna vanished are not known.

Spencer Grant, the 44-year-old transient who was questioned this week as a possible witness in the case, said he and others known to frequent the area where Adre'Anna's remains were found know the potential suspect.

The potential suspect is not facing any charges related to the Adre'Anna Jackson case.

Lakewood police said their investigation is still open and active, and are not ready to call the man a suspect.

this sounds to me they could possibly have the man they are looking for. but time will tell, if he knew the girl, and he has not registered as a offender, this might be the person that did this. didn't he also know grant? if so, I am sure he knew of the hobo camp as well. I hope they have the one they are looking for.

This is from a story in the Tacoma News Tribune titled,"Police looking hard at a few in girls death".
This is an excerpt from the article:
Lakewood police are “looking hard” at about half a dozen people, including a man in the Pierce County Jail, in the disappearance and death of 10-year-old Adre’anna Jackson, a police official said Thursday.
Police spoke with the jailed man, who is an acquaintance of Adre’anna’s parents, early in the investigation, and again before he was booked into the jail April 13, said Lakewood police Lt. Bret Farrar. The man was booked into jail on several outstanding domestic violence-related warrants and for failing to register as a sex offender.

“We’re looking hard at him along with a few other people,” Farrar said. “He’s one of several people we talked to several times.”

still keeping the open possibility that her stepdad might have an involvement, I wonder if he did, that taking her there would place suspicion on the homeless group and especially the man that is being questioned now. seems to me that her stepdad would know of the vacant lot on the other side of the highway and probably knew that this new suspect also frequented that location? this man being a sexual offender sure sheds a whole new light on the investigation.

IMO, he has something to do with it. Also that weird friend of his that they interviewed when she first went missing.

Glad I am not the only one who believes he is involved.
