Adre-Anna case rare for missing children

Adre-Anna Jackson vanished without a trace one month ago, joining a small class of boys and girls no parent wants their child to be a part of – the South Sound’s missing children.

The faces of 18 youths, who were between 1 and 17 when they disappeared in the last 25 years, appear on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Web site as constant reminders of their unknown fate.

Most were abducted by a non-custodial parent or have run away from home. Two are considered “endangered missing,” while investigators are unsure what happened to another two, who are listed as lost, injured or missing.

While it’s not uncommon for youths to run away for a couple of days, investigators say disappearances like Adre-Anna’s are rare. Within the first few hours or days after a child goes missing, investigators usually know what happened, or the child is found.

That’s not the case with 10-year-old Adre-Anna.

very good article, Adre-Anna's case is similar to tabitha tuders and heaven lashee ross that went missing without a trace months apart from one another, tabitha tuders from nashville and heaven from alabama. now after some thought, I was wondering how far the army base is from her neighborhood? since there seems to be no real person of interest here or even a suspect then it could be a possibilty that a person at the army base rather civilian or military could have talked her into a vehicle with a offer to ride in a army vehicle? how remote are parts of the army base there? if a person that knows the perimeter of that base, and if it leads into remote locations , then it could be possible that she was taken to locations well away from her neighborhood, if she met with foul play, the remote locations of the army base perimeter should be searched, including any tributary roadways leading into and out of remote locations.

I wonder that very thing myself, imo that a lot of these cases go cold very quickly, le says they have verified all 51 sexual offenders in the area. I don't know what they mean by verified them, they should have been doing that from the moment she was reported missing and not a few weeks later. how far is canada from her location? either she was taken out of the country or she was murdered by a family member and disposed of. I wonder now how far from her house the dumpster is that the cement bags were found? since her dad was out pushing a yard cart around and a trash barrel maybe he transported her to the dumpster over night and buried her under other trash to conceal her, does anyone know when that dumpster was serviced. someone should at least find out what company picks it up and ask what time it was serviced, her dad may know of the days it would be collected and used that info as a good time to cause harm to her? I wonder if he was sexually abusing her? they say that le is working leads from local physics? they should be working with physics that have a well established record such as noreen ranier.

Personally, I think the case that go cold the fastest are the ones that LE knows or strongly suspects who did it and they are playing the waiting game.

Also, it upsets me when a reward is such a low amount. Anyone else? I know these aren't rich people, but only $2000?

they should contact the carrington and sund foundation which will offer reward money the amount they will offer is either 2000 or 5000 I can't remember which but they will put out the money, I agree 2000 dollars is a low amount, if the amount was much higher then just maybe someone would be inclined to come forward with information. doesn't the fbi put up reward money? I still suspect something fishy with the dad, and even the man across the street. your right, sometimes they are doing the waiting game, but sometimes that will allow a case to go cold, Imo that they just don't seem to be doing enough. have they used air search tatics? with all the technology available they should use infared radar and all that, at least some of the same search tatics as they used in natalee holloways search.

A couple of things.
Surely the parents aren't paying the reward the area they live in looks depressed so 2,000 is more than likely enough if someone outside of the situation saw anything.
The cement and trash cart are hinkey to me isn't it to cold up there to be pouring cement?
This whole thing sounds like the little girl in Florida that a sex offender ( he wasn't registered) across the street from her trailer came in took her out held her in his Aunt's trailer in his bedroom and disposed of her body in his backyard. The police, volunteers, dogs all searched the whole area numerous times.
I so hope that the father isn't involved I am really tired of parents hurting those they are supposed to be protecting.
I don't know about any of you but society sucks a huge lemon.

well, I agree on a lot of what you say, first of all concrete can be poured in very cold weather, but since this was bag mix, it is inexpensive and can be used just about anytime, but the cement bags that were found are the same types of bags that were at the neighbors house. one thing that puzzles me is this; if she walked to the school that morning to check to see if it was open, then why did the search dogs lead in the direction of american lake instead of the route she would have used to go to school? seems to me that the dogs would have gone that same route, could the scent they followed been there from another time she went to the lake? scent dogs can detect scents several months old provided that it is in dirt or grassy areas, on asphalt the scent eventually is masked or contaminated with petrollium from cars and so on. your very right that this could have been a sexual offender from another area just visiting another friend, or even one that was just released from jail in oregon or some place near by. just like you said about jessica lundsford, she was only 150 yds from home and no one even knew she was so close. maybe the search teams should allow the dogs to go thru that entire area again. as far as reward money, $2000.00 is a lot of lute, but $5000.00 is even more to take a bite out of. I am also sick of those harming there own children too. I think that LE should be looking at neighboring states to see if there was some recently released sexual offenders, one comes to mind, I only know of him by a nick name " big al " his name is al and he is a prison friend of joseph edward duncan, I am not sure but he may be out of jail now, he has ties to washington. I believe he was in the same prison that the duncan man was in. with some search efforts on this forum we may be able to find out his full name and so on, if so it might could be found somewhere in the groene case forum here on websleuths.

I believe that "Big Al's" full name and some of the prison info is buried somewhere in the Groene forum. You might try doing a search on Big Al, and see what threads are pulled up.

http://ml.waspc.org/Offender.aspx?pid=688889&name=Barlow,%20Alan%20P&address=69xx%2055th%20Ave%20S&city=Seattle&zip=98118

this man lives in seattle washington, has ties to joseph edward duncan and has been convicted of rape of a child, I don't know how to check to see if he is still in jail, but I thought that he had been released prior to duncans release. seattle isn't all that far out of the way for a sexual offender to travel, he was prison friends with joseph edward duncan, so there is no telling what kind of information and methods they exchanged, le should check on him and find out where he is just in case. if the link doesn't work, the mans name is alan barlow, go to the washington sexual offenders registry and type in barlow for a last name, he is a level three sexual offender., they pose a high risk to the public.

Question: There had been a significant snow storm the day before, that's why the school was closed. How much snow remains? Has it "melted"/diminished, or will it remain till spring?

you know, I'am not sure, washington useally is a damp climate and does get snow often in the winter months, I am not sure about how long the snow remains on the ground up there. could someone that knows the area help us with weather climate in the washington area? I am baffeled as to why the search dogs went in the direction of the lake instead of a known route towards her school, unless the dad is telling a bogus story about him walking her halfway, then later saying he watched her walk up the road, there is something not right about the story he tells, this could very well be someone he knew well and could have been someone she reconized and felt comfortable in getting into a vehicle with if in fact she even left the house that morning, do the parents have an alcohol habit? maybe the mom was layed out with a hang over and the father did something to her during the night? seems to me that the school closeing report would have been broadcasted the night before and again during the morning, how could they have not known the school was closed that day? why then did no one in the neighborhood remember seeing her walk to school? what about the apartment complex, what type is it? is it multi-family units or are these separet units rowed together? the neighbor across the street which is friends to the family, police have talk to him, but have they given him a lie detector test to verify he is telling the truth? if no one has a thing to hide and willing to be helpful, why don't they submit to one? the lake is large, so maybe they should spend more time there, did le use water scent dogs? if not, it is still not to late to do so. if the apartment complex had a dumpster for its residence then why did the dad have a need to push a yard cart and trash barrel across the road and behind a neighbors house and then make a statement to him that the reason was that it had excess trash in it, that just doesn't make an ounce of scence!!

I just moved from Tacoma, WA, and it only snowed about 4 times in the three years I lived there. The snow melted right away. It rarely gets below the 40's there.

why are there not being any ground searches conducted for this child, even though they did a water search, is that all they are going to do? if the family was really concerned, then why have they not been more vigilant in getting a search team organized, wouldn't texas equisearch assist? there are other groups that could help as well. the laura search and recovery team could be called to assist if needed. either this child was molested and murdered, or she was taken out of the area. police wanting to play the waiting game doesn't seem to be producing nothing. its my opinion that this is why many cases are allowed to go cold because there isn't much effort being made to find answers, if the dads lie detector test was inconclusive, then le should be hammering him from every point they can think. god bless this poor child...

I totally agree. Every morning I sign on the internet, hoping that the poor child has been found. She had a horrible life and now she just seems to have been forgotten. God love her soul. No child should ever be treated this way.
