You don't sound like a know it all

I never intended to focus on it being special to her. If you look at my comment,, I have several maybes (Maybe this area had special meaning to her. Maybe she would go there to think, maybe it was far enough away that she wouldn't be found by anyone she knew, but close enough to be able to walk to?).
I am not sure that there wasn't a specific reason they started searching there. I remember someone questioning in the first thread why they would have even looked there - questioning whether there might have been a tip.
So many things just don't add up in this case. Being a local (as you are) I find it incredibly hard to believe that in MLT someone did someone to this woman in broad daylight at or near a transit center. I also find it so bizarre that there are so many coincidental things (badge at home, text message then powered off, not meeting up with the carpool) that happened to occur on this same day that this random attack occurred.
I also think that the "there are no safety issues" from the last few days is telling.
