Look at 2nd story (kxly), click on the mentioned petition, and read the comments by Donna S. (signer 331).

She is an ex friend of Rachel's, and provides very interesting insights about how Rachel managed to pull off her fraud for as long as she did.

Dang. Very profound statement.

We will not make official comments on the validity of allegations against Spokane's NAACP President. However, until the investigation is complete and her issues are resolved we recommend a leave of absence. We do not feel that she is in a position to properly reflect the values of our communities. The questions surrounding her integrity may discredit the work that has been previously done to better the movement of social justice and equality.

We are writing to address the recent breaking news stories that has inundated our community involving the current chair of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP. Although we cannot make official comments on the validity of allegations, we feel that until the investigation is complete and she resolves her issues that she take a leave of absence as President.
We do not feel that she is in a position to properly reflect the values of our diverse community or the Spokane chapter of the NAACP. The questions surrounding her integrity may discredit the work that has been previously done to better the movement of social justice and equality in our community. We would not like to see partnerships that have previously been built to be severed as organizations and their representatives distance themselves from the impact of the allegations against the President specifically.
Although, we do not speak on behalf of all the members of the community, we share the feelings of a significant number. As she has become the face of the NAACP locally, we have no doubt that the current climate may cause people to question the overall credibility of the organization and it’s systems used to select officers and its members. We are saddened by the NAACP's statement to support dishonesty and failure to apologize or acknowledge the communities impacted.

The petition needs 400 signatures and currently there are 370. I think her latest antic of canceling the meeting without further input from the executive committee is going to tip them over. It is highly doubtful they can trust she is working in the best interest of the organization. It seems her own agendas have taken priority over the needs of others. (Yet again unfortunately)

i don't know what this is

anyone wanna guess if she downloaded it herself?

RSBM That was...interesting...

How could she possibly perpetuate being black every single day with a husband who didn't know she was really white? Or did he know? I've had spray tans, they sweat and wear off quickly. They also have a distinctive odor and you are not supposed to shower for at least 4-6 hours after you tan, and it rubs off on your clothes. And every time you take a shower a little bit washes off. I would think hubsy wubsy would be "Honey, why is your black running down the drain?"

And she had a DARK spray tan, she looked like Snookie from Jersey Shore in some of her pictures. That would be an every other day or at least an every 3rd day visit to fake bake, it's quite a commitment. And the hair, too.

I found that video disturbing. Pictures of her lips pursed, close ups of her neck and cleavage, and the duck face was over the top for me.

I've been wondering about the makeup as well. We saw it streaming off from tears in the krem interview, but did she also do her neck, hands and arms as well? Tons of time and efforts put into keeping up the "caramel facade".

Yes, you stand in a booth nekkid and are sprayed all over your body from head to toe. You can pick the level of darkness you prefer.

Maybe that's why she had a long distance relationship w/the guy?

I wonder if she went to the same tanning place every time, or different ones, and whether they knew who she was and wondered why the person who speaks of her African American heritage in public needs regular spray tans.

Someone could have made a pretty buck for keeping her secrets.

Ahh, I didn't realize it was a long distance relationship. That makes sense; ideal to not blow her cover.

Yes, I wondered the same thing. I think she probably went to an out of the way place with low risk of running into anyone she knew. Plus most of those places are staffed by very young white women and men (even teens on summer break etc.) and patronized by the same type clientele. (At least in my experience.) Not a high risk of running into any of her NAACP peeps.

Spokane police suspend all cases involving Dolezal

The Spokane Police department confirmed late Friday its suspending all investigations involving Rachel Dolezal, including the investigation into hate mail that showed up in the post office box of Spokane's NAACP. The department says there are no new leads to follow in any of the cases.

It appears RD overstepped her boundaries by trying to cancel the NAACP meeting tomorrow night. She is being called out by the Executive Committee Chair stating she does not have authority to cancel or postpone the meeting as it is a fixed date 3rd Monday of each month.

It sounds like the meeting is going to take place as scheduled with or without her. Will she acknowledge being overruled and attend the meeting? Or will she refuse to go and claim that the meeting was cancelled and is therefore not valid and constitutes a hate crime against her?

Ok....that was quick. He says his parents claimed Jewish traditions as their own -despite not being Jewish- because they saw them as being part of Christianity. Oh.

I knew fundie Christians who attended Passover Seder at a Messianic Jewish temple. It was an open event, and well-attended in our community.

Messianic Jews are Christians who adhere to many Jewish traditions. Maybe the Dolezals are part of this sect?

My prediction is that she's going to say she did all of this for some type of sociology study, and she was planning to write a book about her experience.

Her ex-husband knew she was white. When they married she still had straight long blond hair. If you are talking about the video, it was posted by some guy infatuated with her, not her ex-husband.

I can't be the only one who is bothered by the notion of Rachel being a mentor to anyone.

To me, RD's stories about the girls she mentored by doing their hair didn't ring true at all. Something about the way she told the stories...... They are one "gimme a break!" after another, IMO: "florid".

Everything RD does turns into some kind of heroic venture.

I'd also like to hear the body language experts on RD's interview from a few days ago; there's one expert I really like who sometimes reports on Dr. Drew.

I feel so sorry for the NAACP, especially its NW chapters. All the energy that has to be spent on RD that can't be spent on important causes like police brutality, injustices in housing, the high percentages of young black men who are in prison, stereotyping of people of color by stores and other businesses, the double whammy of being black and LGBT.....

This is awful on a lot of levels.

To me, RD looks like a white gal with spray-on tan in that photo. I realize that there is a range of skin tones in everyone's history, but that one doesn't ring true to me. Also, it's photos like that that make me think RD's ethnic hairstyles are wigs, since her own hair is thinnish, with little volume.

 • #438
I don't think those are wigs. Based on the photo with her hair light and pulled up I'd guess its a weave.

 • #439
Wow. A must read. However, it was listed as signer 332 when I found it.

I couldn't find the petition comments in their entirety. Is there another link?

Maybe she bought a tanning bed.
