Irah Sok shot and killed 8/19/22 when 3 people broke into her home.

Investigators said it is believed the husband of the woman killed got into some type of verbal altercation before the shooting and that there was no evidence of a physical altercation between the husband and the men who broke into the home.
The men who broke into the home made their way to the second floor where the woman was shot and killed, the SCSO said.
Officials said the husband went to a neighbor’s house and called 911 after the three men who broke in fled the home on foot. A child was also in the home at the time. The sheriff’s office said the husband and child are OK.

She was into photography, had just opened her own studio and very into expensive things. In one article her family wondered if someone envied her so much they killed her. Family of murdered South Everett woman appealing for help finding killers

I agree that the report sounds odd. At the same time, this young mother has been much loved. Husband turned their garage into her studio, and was very supportive of her business. She was talented and her clientele, it seems, was growing. Her FB openly posts expensive things, I'd not flaunt them so openly, but while the case is called "a house invasion", no one mentions "burglary" as the motive. Well, let us see. Even a competing business or some racket could be a motive, who knows?

Yes, it's very hard to get any sense of what might have happened with so few facts. What, if anything, did the 3 men say to the husband? What injuries did the husband sustain (The Lynwood Times says the husband was "mildly injured")? Was anything taken from the house? It sure seems that Irah was targeted though. The husband is "mildly injured" and she gets a bullet in the head.

Yep. Often the cases of one spouse being killed and the other spouse being mildly injured end up being narrated by Keith Morrison, with the obvious ending we all expect. Jealousy, infidelity, strippers, life insurance. Pick one or more.

I live very close to where this happened. From everything I’ve seen and read she was talented, fun, engaging, successful in her new business, and GORGEOUS (didn’t hide it). She probably got a lot of attention. The husband being “injured” is not mentioned much at all in the news sources I’ve read. He seemed fine on TV interview few days after murder, not even any tears or snot. Hinky AF in my opinion.
