I'm thinking someone without transportation, a teenager, transient, etc. I just can't see dad leaving her so close to home.

That's a good point. Do we know if the family has transportation? I don't recall reading about a car being searched.

I don't know. I have a few options at this point I am considering.
1- Family member
2- Someone who lured her out because she was so trusting.
3- Unknown transient or intruder.

Poor little girl. She is beautiful. It just makes me so flipping mad when people use child innocence to hurt them.

Why not?
Did he drive? Was she buried? because if she was buried I absolutely can see the father being a possible suspect then.

Buried or not, the probability is high.

Hmmm, to the father's criminal history as indicated in the above report.

It makes me wonder if they already have another suspect in mind.

"That has nothing to do with this investigation right now," Kitsap County sheriff's Deputy Scott Wilson said at a news briefing Wednesday.

Of the parents, he said at the time: "I can't emphasize enough how cooperative they both have been with law enforcement authorities in the course of this investigation."

Can her sibs verify that she was in her bed sleeping through the night on Sat night? I'm worried that someone could have lured her out of the house instead of being forced via a window or break in.

Please tread lightly. Still no named suspects.

Speculation here...
Does it sound like the bottoms of her feet might not have dirt on them? Didn't they say she didn't leave on her own?
In fact if the bottoms of her feet weren't dirty, wouldn't that mean she was killed and brought there to the wooded area?
Clearly the killer hoped people wouldn't go into the thorny area.

All posts are MOO

Or she was barefooted and her feet were full of nettles and thorns......? What 6 year old would put up with that?

According to court records, the girl's father was charged with first-degree child molestation in February 2000, accused of molesting an 8-year-old girl following a New Year's Eve celebration. The girl told a detective and case worker that he inappropriately touched her, according to court documents.

More than a year later, in June 2001, the charges were amended to include third-degree child molestation after a 15-year-old girl who was babysitting the girl during New Year's Eve 2000 said that Wright touched her breasts and put his hands down her pants, according to court documents. Fox News.

Am I allowed to post this.....comes from Fox news and link already posted?

I hear what your saying, Ontario Mom...:highfive:

but it made me a little uncomfortable... Because I am on my "I-device" (iPad) quite a bit.... Like right now... :blushing:

:seeya:

;) I just meant kids & teens don't seem to be seen much outside these days unless they're sitting somewhere with their devices. Speaking of which, I had this thought before we all got the news that our official Comet of the Month of August (now and forever) Jenise was found today (pending official ID, of course):

From several sources, we've all read she hung around older kids in the park. Teens, specifically. I think we all know that teenagers today pretty much chronicle their every move via texting, snap chatting, twitter, facebook, selfies & videos. I have to wonder if LE confiscated ALL their devices to take a look for themselves. I'm a mom, and it's one of the first things that came to mind when I read in one of the MSM articles that a 14 yr old was with her all day Friday & Saturday.

What did the detective say about her clothing? I wonder if she was found without any clothes on.

Just looking at her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes causes so much pain to know there were tears and fear in them before she died. She just looks so full of life and happy in all the pictures I've seen!

Just a radiant kid, a real, light-filled beauty. I'm so sorry for her. Gosh I wish I could give that baby a big, big hug.

Was her older brother away when she went missing?

Things that are being reported on Nancy Grace right now:

1. Cops are confident that it's Jenice's body.

2. Police back at the home as well as crime scene techs.

3. They have taken evidence from the home.

4. Nancy saying whats significant to her is that the body was so close to home. Thinks it was someone very close to the home/community that did this to Jenice. Matter of fact she flat out said she thinks its someone within the community.

5. Body about 7 or 8 houses down the road.

6 Showing footage of cops outside and around the home.

7. Body found VERY close to home.

But, but...isn't the Wright's home in the South West area of the park, and the location she was found at is in the woods North East between the park and 303?

If Janise was last seen when going to bed Saturday night, and the parents did'nt realize she was missing until Sunday night when she did not come home for dinner, why didn't the parents realize she was missing Sunday morning?
Did the parents think Janise just hopped out of bed before anyone else and left early to roam the neighborhood?
Were the parents use to waking up and not having their 6 year old daughter in the house?
Why did't the parents sound the alarm when Janise was not home on Sunday for breakfast or lunch? Did they not feed their child?
Why did it take all the way to Sunday night during dinner time to realize Janise was gone?
Where did Janise get her meals/breakfast/lunch on Sunday? Were the neighbors use to feeding her?
The timeline is just messed up for me and does not make sense.

Her brother's best friend said the FBI took his phone because he took a video/Snapchat of a friend on Saturday & Jenise happened to be in it.

I haven't read every news report. Has anyone in the community mentioned any "outsiders" or new people/strangers in the area? I would think if there was a transient they'd stick out like a sore thumb. In our neighborhood everyone calls everyone when someone enters the neighborhood to sell magazines! Anyone new gets talked about, big time! (I don't mean people new to the neighborhood, I mean passers through... We also only have one way in/out so the neighbors on that end watch for them to leave...

That's what I was getting at. Mobiles with stem walls are almost always "Permanently Affixed" to the property when set, for tax purposes through the county assessor, and the mortgage company that is handling the sale.
MH's have transitioned over to sheetrock, tape and texture in the last 25 years, no more "tacky" paneling, and tearing them down for transport and the transport itself can cause a lot of damage to the interior walls.
And you're right, it IS pretty expensive to move them (removal and storing of your household items, teardown, tongue/axle rental, transport, DOT permit, escort vehicles, placement permit, ad valorem tax check and transfer, leveling, marriage line attachment floor, walls and ceiling, new roof cap, utility hookups, etc....) For the cost and PITA, you might as well upgrade to a new unit and have it set in your new location.

Yeah, I always have to remind myself that Mobile Homes are named after Mobile, Alabama and not the fact that they're mobile. They aren't really.

I'm not thinking transient just because of the language used at the end of the presser regarding the trailer court. He seemed to me and IMHO to be saying they're sure the person is from inside the trailer court. Or that's what I gathered by his language.
