Same here, and these things as well IMO/BBM:

This is from a Daily Mail article, so take it as you will, but I had read upthread about the welts between Evelyn's legs and it was discussed how that could occur, and they do cite the Seattle Times for some of this.

"Whitney also stated in September divorce proceedings that he had been 'struggling to maintain stability' since they separated and it was beginning to affect their daughters.
....
She also said Decker was prone to 'outbursts' and would come into her house yelling for the girls, whom he would sometimes fail to pick up after promising to do so.

In one instance, Whitney wrote that her youngest daughter, Olivia, called her crying during a visit with Decker and said she could not find her father - before Evelyn came home with welts between her legs.
....
The girls' maternal grandmother similarly wrote that Decker would drop off the girls at inconsistent times and they would sometimes be upset or crying when they returned home.

'They are all happy, smart, well-adjusted girls with the exception of when Travis brings them back to me after his visitations,' she wrote, according to the Seattle Times."

The welts between the legs was described as “leaving a child in wet clothing’ IIRC. I understood this to be similar as leaving a young child in a diaper too long.

Thanks, @Nikynoo, I didn't know that. Hmmm.

I had t read this before. I knew that he had tried to reconcile with WD, but I didn’t realise that he had tried to reconcile with his brother and his father. https://kxly920.com/2025/06/06/wena...r-reveals-travis-deckers-escalating-behavior/
Yes, this was another one of the things he did just prior to the murdering of his daughters. We discussed whether this might have been another trigger for his actions as apparently the attempt at reconciliation didn’t go that well especially with his brother. Also, discussed whether this was a planned type of good-bye to his father and brother, as well.

If he is surviving in the wilderness, I can't see him surviving long once the temperatures drop and the snow comes.

I highly doubt he has survival gear with him that would be sufficient for those conditions.

Unless he had the whole enchilada in a hidey hole.

Possible. He could have very well stashed items. Or even a vehicle. It sounds like he was attempting reconciliation. This failure resulting in impulsive action?

Or if he had two pathways...One last attempt to rebuild what he had, but also the ultimate out if these attempts failed? It is difficult to know.

WENATCHEE, Wash. — Evidence located at the site where the three Decker sisters were found dead is a confirmed DNA match to their father, Travis Decker, Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison told KING 5.

Investigators discovered two bloody handprints on Decker’s truck, found abandoned at the scene—a campsite in the Cascade Mountains west of Leavenworth.

Maybe one of the girls kicked him in the nose since their hands were tied. First reaction.. take both hands to your bloody nose!

MOO they didn't reconcile because he telegraphed that he was capable of bad things.

"Canines are trained to look for cadavers and sniff for those types of odors, so he's still maybe on the move," McGhee told ABC News.

McGhee said he believes Decker may have "slipped out of the U.S.," escalating the search into an "international manhunt." An affidavit previously revealed that Decker's Google searches leading up to the murders included "how does a person move to Canada" and "how to relocate to Canada."

Decker has likely been able to evade from law enforcement for so long due to his military training, which allows him to "navigate with limited resources in the wilderness," McGhee said. Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison previously said Decker's father revealed that his son had been known to go out and live "off the grid" for up to 2 and a 1/2 months

Again, he’ll have to go to town sometime to get supplies. Harder to do without Canadian money or a working bank account.

Taken from the article you posted:

searchers have conceded he may have committed suicide in a remote area of wilderness that has not yet been searched.

The area is dotted with abandoned buildings as well as unoccupied vacation homes in which he might find shelter, as well as caves and former mines.

...

He was a full-time member of the Guard until 2023 or 2024, when he switched to part-time.

Decker stopped attending mandatory monthly drills a little over a year ago, and the Guard was in the process of a disciplinary discharge.

He likely has advanced combat training and was an airborne paratrooper who earned the elite rank of 'Ranger,'

On Thursday, Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison confirmed to KING 5 that blood samples from the area matched Decker’s, ruling out any chance that another person was at the location where the Decker girls’ bodies were found.
Travis Decker: Sheriff Confirms Bloody Prints at Crime Scene Belongs to Father Accused of Suffocating 3 Young Daughters

So now we know.
I certainly don't picture at all another person/s being at the scene besides Travis and the girls, but just in terms of wording, the fact that the blood samples matched Decker's doesn't, to me, rule out the possibility of someone else being present. All we know is that the blood didn't belong to someone else.
