bumping again. Sam is out there, somewhere.... Please let's not forget....
Sam's boyfriend and some friends climbed to the top of Vesper Peak yesterday, on her birthday, carrying a flag signed by her friends and family. Here are photos of them at the top that were posted on the #findsamsayers Facebook page: #findsamsayers Facebook post
They've also set up a separate Facebook page for anyone who is local who wants to volunteer on the ground searching for Sam. According to the post about it on the main Facebook page: "Please only apply to join and fill out the short questionnaire, if you are physically able to join the search." If you're local and want to join in, here is the link: #findsamsayers Volunteers Facebook page
Gerry's story was so tragic. Searchers came within 100 yards of where she set up her tent when she got lost. She survived as long as she did as she had food and water for a multi day hike, warm clothes and shelter. Sam, unfortunately, was prepared to be only out one day. I'm praying she found one or more of the rescue packs with supplies the searchers sent out.Gerry Largay survived for 26 days after she became missing while hiking the Appalachian Trail. Even though the longer that Sam is missing; the more likely it is that she won't be found alive, you just never know.
I sure hope that this has one of those miracle endings.

Have you heard at what times the pings were done? Because I just don't understand that ping 3 was an anomaly. If she was abducted and forced down the trail to the parking area by gunpoint or whatever. Wouldn't it be possible that while driving away with her they threw her cell phone out the window? Ping 3 is very close to the road heading out of there. Stay Sam Strong!!!!Sam's boyfriend, Kevin, was interviewed on a local radio station show on August 10th. He talks about the cell phone pings. The first two pings were on the day she went missing, and came from the mountain. The third ping was 30 miles to the northeast which was supposedly "an anomaly", also on the same day.
I don't know anything about how cell phone pings work so maybe it's normal to have such an anomaly but it does make me wonder...
Here's the link to the recording from the radio show. Kevin's interview starts at about 6 minutes in: August 10, 2018 - Hour 3 from The Ron and Don Show
