I came to websleuths because the CA trial left me devastated. I didn't know that it was possible to love a child that you didn't know and that had already passed by the time you heard of their existence. It broke my heart to see justice so perverted. Is anyone else feeling like seeing (and maybe even participating in, however indirectly) another child getting justice might help that heal a little? I'm not crazy, but I am a mom, and I just really need to see Sky come home, one way or another.

Please let there be break in this case.

Police investigating the disappearance of two-year-old Sky Metalwala are searching the area around the Kingsgate Park & Ride.

The search area being searched today is near the home of Sky’s father.

My goodness, my heart is breaking for SM right now. He has a custody hearing on Monday for little M. I would be completely falling apart right now if I were him.

It is 7.20 acres big, consisting mostly of trails through the woods. The path leads steeply downward into a ravine. There is a bridge at the bottom, then up the other side you go. Small side trails lead toward the freeway or back up toward the neighboring houses.

Would you want to have a picnic there? - Possibly. But probably not. There are no tables, no benches, no grassy area.

Take small children? - No. Too steep. No play equipment at all.

Walk the dog? - Definitely.

Jog? - If you want some hills to increase endurance, it would be a good place.

What would be the main use of the park?

Walking or jogging. A nice peaceful serene place to walk in every day to get away from the crush of the day and unwind.

Respectfully, you mentioned the blue tarp. I don't like that MSM is using what is clearly older photo's of Sky, which they did in the above link. I look at how much younger and how much longer Sky's hair is in those older pictures. I wish they would keep reposting the NEW ones LE released - since they reflect what Sky looked like when he went missing, not what he looked like ages ago.

ETA: I'm assuming they are searching now because some of that green foliage is gone and they can see through the woods better. (Thinking of the Palmgren case, but they also did a search last year for Kyron Horman in the late fall and winter.)

Heartbreakingly, I agree. JMO, I just think when a current photo is available, out of respect for the victim, it should be used. ETA: But you're right. Maybe some of the older photo's are being used because they more accurately represent his clothing versus the newer pictures of Sky eating in the sink. :sigh:


On that note, any scanner thread available downstairs for the current search? 7 or so acres doesn't seem overwhelming in the amount of area that has to be searched. At least in comparison to hundreds of acres of similiar terrain.

I'm reading that they're searching the Kingsgate Park and Ride, not Kingsgate Park. Does anyone have a link that says they're at the park? Kingsgate Park is at 140th. The park and ride is south of there, on the opposite side of 405 near 130th-ish.
