I'm reading that they're searching the Kingsgate Park and Ride, not Kingsgate Park. Does anyone have a link that says they're at the park? Kingsgate Park is at 140th. The park and ride is south of there, on the opposite side of 405 near 130th-ish.

I was kind of confused about that too. Maybe the Kingsgate Park and Ride was a reporting error? Or maybe they are searching both?

Wouldn't the Kingsgate Park and Ride be kind of like a parking lot for public transportation?

Let me say it a little louder Cubby -

Julia Biryukova - WHERE IS SKY???

Bares repeating, over and over...

Respectfully snipped. I fell asleep thinking about this paragraph last night and was too exhausted to formulate my thoughts in words here. but...

You are so right about this, gitana. Bouncing off your above paragraph. thanks to the Anthony case, I can see JB thinking, if I say nothing the worst that is likely to happen is I receive a similiar sentence to Casey. I do a little time for lying to LE. She creates enough doubt that she can still victimize SM by creating a scenario which leaves open the possibility of SM's responsibility. And she walks...... Win win all around for Julia. And in the mean time, Sky is still missing and there are no answers and closure.

Which is precisely why I do not think Julia will talk. She STILL has this sick hold/upper hand as an abuser over her victims, her children and SM.

Though if she chooses that route, she will have to find a way to go through life with people thinking of her in same manner they do OJ Simpson and Casey Anthony. If with her OCD she can handle it.

Still praying for answers and justice for Sky! This is NOT going to go away Julia. I STILL follow a case from 1966, Debbie Fijan, and still follow a case from 1973, Anna Waters. So if you think in a few months people will forget, think again. Websleuthers are like Die Hard Cub fans. We are in this for the long haul!

Eta: I should disclose, in no way do I mean to infer LE will take as long to solve this case as the Cubs have been trying to win a world series.

As a local who lives in Kirkland, this picture is from the Park & Ride - not the Kingsgate Park. My b/f and I will jump in the car and ride over to see if they are also at the park.

I'm taking one for the WS team as I am in my PJ's and have yesterday's makeup on. We aren't getting out of the car though, we're just going to see if they're at the park as well.

I'll be back.....

BBM. You're way better than me! I would totally put on clothes and make-up, I'm so vain, lol. Thank you so much for taking one for the WS team!

I hope LE got some kind of credible tip from last night's showing of AMW and are searching these areas based on a solid tip, rather than chance. I know LE said they are just covering all their bases and this is one they haven't checked yet -- that it's random, but I'm crossing my fingers there's something more reliable to this search. Please find Sky!!

Ok, I'm going to throw my two cents in now. This area, where Julia lived, Redmond in general, has MASSIVE amounts of wooded areas, especially if you start going east. Lake Sammamish area is massive. It would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Ted Bundy was able to dump some of his victims in that area and revisit them, without anybody stumbling upon them.

It speaks VOLUMES to me that they have searched Watershed Park and now Kingsgate Parkand Ride/ Park area. Both of those areas are a short bus ride from Redmond. Kingsgate Park and Ride is a transit center, basically a parking lot that lots of different buses use as a hub. You can catch a bus from there that goes right to Watershed Park and runs right along the route that she most likely drove that Sunday. I believe that LE believes that Julia disappeared Sky before she had SB's car. She could have driven to Kingsgate and got on Metro from there, but I don't think that's the case. I think they KNOW Sky was never in that car. There are massive amounts of traffic cameras in the area and Metro has security cameras on their buses. These are in no way just random searches! They are all in a direct path that run right along the west side of 405. Julia is a planner. I'm sure in her irrational mind that she thought it would be best to run out of gas along that route so if and when they find Sky that she can just use the excuse that whoever took him dumped him along that route.

They are on to you, Julia! They have you on camera. They know where you've been. Now it's just a matter of finding Sky. And they will!

I wish I knew if they ever found the stroller we have all seen on her flickr pics. I wonder if they did, if they let a cadaver dog sniff it out.

We're baaack. We drove by the park first and there was one reporter there taping a segment in an unmarked news truck. (It reminded me of Murt in the FCA days.) Anyway, there was not a single car or LE there at all. So we drove by the Park & Ride. The Search and Rescue truck was there along with 6 or 7 LE SUVs and a couple of LE cars. We didn't see any searches going on and couldn't tell if they had searched through the wooded areas or not.

Our thoughts are that the either used the Park & Ride as a meeting place and then shuttled searchers to/from the Park from there (because there is no parking lot for the park as it is in a residential area) or they didn't search the Kingsgate park at all and just stayed at the Park & Ride.

Thanks Princess for you and your boyfriend's time and effort on behalf of Sky. We really appreciate it.

I don't think I've ever been to Kingsgate. I've been to one further north, where King County Metro transfers to Snohomish county Community Transit. Is it a typical park and ride?. .. a parking lot surrounded by a wooded area?

I hope julia is hearing the JAWS theme in her head.

No problem! I was so thankful for the locals in the FCA case and hoped that I could return the favor some day. It was helpful to get an update by someone just being able to drive by and take a look for themselves instead of trying to figure out what MSM has embellished and what is just straight up truth.

We don't know why the P&R is being called "Kingsgate" P&R either. It's the park & ride that is about 2 blocks from Juanita High School (where we both graduated from) on the way to Totem Lake. We would have called it the Totem Lake P&R if we were talking about it in conversation.

Yes, this is a typical Park & Ride - just a parking lot with woods all around it. (Around here it seems that EVERYTHING has woods around it.) :(

Julia - Just tell us where you put this precious baby! You can call in to the tip line anonymously too - just let Sky Elijah have a proper resting place. Please.

That location makes sense of where she would put Sky. Praying he will be found.

Tell me more, pferrin.... why does that location make sense? I am trying to make sense of it. I was thinking that LE stated that no TIPS led to this area of search, but they did not say that no "surveillance" or traffic cams led to that area.

My heart just *pings* loudly and deeply when they say that search and "rescue" teams are out there ---it's clearly a *search*, and it is so troubling and incredibly sad for poor toddler Sky. God how my heart goes out to him...the pain...the loss...and my so devastating for his sister and those that love him, up close and personal.

Ok, thanks. I Google mapped it and it's right off of NE128th. It doesn't look like the woods are particularly deep there, but like you said. . .everything around here is wooded.

Good grief, I hope they find something already. :(

(snipparood) ETA: I'm assuming they are searching now because some of that green foliage is gone and they can see through the woods better. (Thinking of the Palmgren case, but they also did a search last year for Kyron Horman in the late fall and winter.)

I don't think so. Not much of that foliage goes away...I live in Kyron land, and seriously it's very similar vegetation year round. My hunch, and I hope that this is true, that they have been able to nail down some pings or cams, and that this area is very targeted. jmho!
