Not really. Sadly, it usually means they have no new leads/clues and it's headed for the cold case file.

Unfortunately you're right n/t. I'm beginning to fear that unless someone stumbles upon Sky's remains, like so many other cases, he won't be found. I pray I'm wrong.

I am new here at the forum, and I am also praying this beautiful little man will be found soon! English isn't my native language, but I'm trying ;-) I don't know if it has been discussed here already, but I read in a comment on an article http://www.king5.com/news/local/sky...-father-135446908.html?commentPage=1#comments :
Mom petitioned the father for permission to take the child out of the country. Permission was denied. Fact: Two weeks later, the child is missing and the mother is making no effort to find the child Is this true? Would it be possible Sky is really missing since 15/ 16 oktober and maybe JB tried to leave the country with "both" kids to cover up so it wouldn't be noticed Sky was already missing?

Great first post, Nymphela!! :seeya: And yes, I too recall the asking for permission, and I see from other posts that this is true.
and...

:welcome:

:greetings:

where is Sky... :waiting: Julia... ::pullhair:

I think that these are from inside her apartment. That is just my opinion based on additional pictures showing the children being very comfortably dressed, the toys scattered around and the fact that they are just playing as if they are in their own place. I don't have a link to validate that this in fact her apartment - it is my opinion only:innocent:.

This article has a pic of the kids sitting on the countertop - appears to be the same granite, paint and trim. http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2011/nov/08/foul-play-suspected-case-missing-bellevue-boy/?photos
If this is her stuff, it bothers me that she is clearing out of what could be a crime scene.

Can LE make her stay in the country if she has not been named a suspect?

BTW - I cannot believe the brother posted that on his public Facebook wall. subtle.

Yep, feeding her kids on the counter yet again. When is this woman going to be locked up?

In the photo of Sky sitting in the sink (attached screenshot from link below), it appears the sink is in the peninsula with no raised counter top like there is in the picture of the kitchen posted on JB's brothers FB page. The range and refrigerator is in the background of the photo.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/sky-metalw...s-missing-wash/story?id=14989054#.TwJXapdqNNQ

In this photo, the paint is taupe with white trim and what appears to be the sink in the background, not in the peninsula.
http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2011/nov/08/foul-play-suspected-case-missing-bellevue-boy/?photos

So, I'm to think the bottom photo was taken at someone else's home or at their home that they once lived in.

The photo on JB's brothers page, shows white walls, dark trim, beautiful hardwood floors and what I would think a small living room (when looking at the size of the couch that was shown). Also, the sink would most likely be in the peninsula (like at JB's apartment) but his photo shows the two-tiered countertop.

I think it's safe to assume that the apartment shown in the photo on the brothers FB page is not the Veloce apartment that JB lived in with M and Sky. As well, he refers to his friend as a "he" - not that it matters.

ETA: Attaching two screenshots from a video (model unit) at Veloce.
Veloce Apartments For Rent - Redmond, WA - YouTube

ETA2: Notice in the picture of Sky in the sink, the lighter colored upper cabinets and darker bottom cabinets - just like the cabinets in the Veloce 2 photo that I took from the video of the model unit.

Haven't caught up on many missed posts yet, but I have a question.

A poster on another thread said that the online game Sim City has a peculiar thing where a player has children but doesn't 'like' the boy children and so kills them over and over again as part of the game. The player also has girl children but LOVES the girls and never hurts them. This poster knows a mother who played this game obsessively and went on to actually suffocate her own infant son. I believe that person is now on trial for that.

Does anyone know if JB played SimCity?

I hope I have the name of the game right. This was posted in the thread on Aliahna, the little girl murdered in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Sim city is just a city building game. I am not sure of the game of which you speak. But I play and have played sims 1,2,3 and never heard of this.

No, it's true about The Sims, and it's a little freaky to be sure, but it's just a game. I don't see what it has to do with this case, actually.

Unfortunately, people who have never played video games in their lives continue to ignore, neglect, abuse, or even kill their own children. :twocents: And plenty of people play games but love their kids more than life itself.

It's just The Sims, not SimCity that you are referencing. There are 3 different games, The Sims, The Sims 2, and The Sims 3 with all sorts of add-on packages that you can purchase. Facebook now allows you to play The Sims through their games like Farmville. Yes, in either of these Sims games, you can "kill" off anyone you want too. You can put a character in a swimming pool to swim, remove the ladder and the Sim will die. Once the Sim dies, the grim reaper will appear and offer you the opportunity to resurrect your Sim. There are many ways to kill of a Sim. Starvation is one way, allowing them to live in filthy surroundings is one way, starting a fire in a kitchen is yet another. I'm sure since the last time I've played, people have become more and more creative with ways to kill Sims off. You can also have your children removed from your care if you are neglectful, etc. "Social services" will arrive at your home and take the children from you.

Anyway, don't ask me how but I don't see Julia as being one to sit for hours to play games with her OCD.

This is a very old video Hoppy. Sadly, It doesn't appear to me to have any new information in it at all.

Oh :( It came up in my news search for 'last 24 hours' ---- it said 'posted 15 hours ago'

I hadn't seen it before so I thought it was new.

I have no idea how this game is even mentioned in this case, it seems totally silly to me. All of the above you have mentioned was not what the person who started this was talking about, I will try and find the post, but I am pretty sure it was alot worse, in fact I believe, someone else stated the above as the only way you can do this in the game.

Anyway, like I say seems silly talking about it.

Sorry Britskate, I didn't even see your previous post detailing the same things I did about the Sims. As we were both saying, there are a variety of ways for people to kill on the Sims but I think it is totally irrelevant to Sky's disappearance. With Julia's OCD, I just don't see her sitting in one place for hours on end playing a computer game nor do I believe that Julia killed Sky because she didn't like boys. IMO, Julia killed Sky because he reminded her so much of Solomon and what better way to hurt the person you despise the most is to take away the things they love the best, in this case Sky.

  • #376
I think that Julia didn't bond well with Sky. She already had declined in mental health when she had little M. Solomon took a LOT of time off when Sky was born. IMHO She just didn't form the motherly bond that she should have with Sky. By the time that the marriage ended, little M was a "big" girl who was used to taking care of herself. Plain and simple, Sky wasn't. Little M likely mothered him more than Julia. He may have not even been killed on purpose; it may have simply been a case of neglect. However, she should come clean.

JULIA - Where is baby Sky???

I believe she killed Sky out of he reminded her of SM as well. Being a mother you have a strong bond with your children, and I just don't think the bond was there with her and Sky. Has there been any info of finding Sky yet?

Not that I've seen or heard. I wish there was a break soon!

Wow! This article states that SM's lawyer cannot find anyone who has seen Sky since six months before Nov. 6th, the day Sky went missing!

Police did not verify this statement.

However, if this is true...then the timeline has changed drastically!
