WA WA - Sky Metalwala, 2, Bellevue, 6 Nov 2011 - #15

I have been able to locate some of the photos online from that date. In most of the pics it appears to be overcast (and both kids have their rainboots on). However there is one of M standing on a grassy hill (with the Veloce apts in the background I think) where the sky is blue with some big billowy clouds. I also found a photo from inside the salon and there is a calendar on the wall open to the month of June (and the dates match up with 2011 i.e. the last day of the month fell on a Thursday).

I don't remember the backyard pics from the same date but I will take your word for it!

I assume the salon has an appointment book that can be cross checked. Good question re who paid. I really think SM's lawyer should follow up.

Edited to add some of the times of the June 15, 2011 photos (if the Exif info from Flickr is to be believed):

Kids in stroller on sidewalk - 4:01pm PDT (partly sunny)
M in salon - 5:16pm PDT
M on grassy hill with new shorter hair - 6:21pm PDT (partly cloudy blue skies)
M next to Sky in stroller in park - 6:23pm PDT (overcast)
M next to Sky in stroller with bus in background - 6:24pm PDT (overcast)
M in SJ's arms in parking lot (likely Costco) - 7:23pm PDT (partly overcast)

The difference in the skies does seem suspicious (especially how it goes from blue skies to overcast in 2 minutes) but maybe that's the way it is in the PNW? Or maybe it just depends on the direction the photos were taken (skies were clearing up or clouds were rolling in?). Or maybe JB has been screwing with the dates and times all along.

That is definitely just the way the weather is around here. A local saying is that if you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes. (because it will change) HTH!

I say time's up. Arrest her for something ----- maybe with her 'illness' being locked up might just push her over the edge and she'll give something up!!!???!!

Doing nothing just seems...........wrong.

Works for me. Without a body they aren't gonna get a murder conviction. Perhaps some kind of gross negligence or child endangerment might put her away for a while -- and help keep her away from her daughter.

If I could 'thank' you for posting this a million times I would. This is exactly what I want to know!! Arrest her already and MAKE HER TALK!! I know it's unconstitutional and all, but I'm thinking bamboo shoots under her perfectly manicured fingernails would make her spill the truth about this baby boy!! :maddening:

How unconstitutional is it really? Aren't these moms and dads whose children go missing under mysterious conditions actually obstructing justice when they lawyer up, then feign distress as a reason for stopping communication with LE?

I think that we should put all these parents ( Julia, Casey, D Lane, etc.) in one room and do one of two things...
1.) plant a message in each of their ears that another of the group thinks they are guilty, then let them "discuss" it amongst themselves. A padded room would probably be necessary. Microphones and two way mirrors would be a nice touch, too.
OR
2.) Let them each be in court with a jury of their "true" peers (these same moms and dads) and see what the verdict would be. I have a feeling each of these narcissists would have no qualms in calling each other out!

Sorry for the rant...but justice seems so upside down these days. Whose rights are we really protecting?

I understand SM is trying to stay positive in his thoughts, especially with this new development. But I can't see how he thought that this was good news. In missing child cases, when the timeline suddenly and drastically changes where the child hasn't been seen for much longer than thought... it's generally not seen as being a positive thing.

My first thought was: Oh ****, she had more time to kill and hide him. We'll never find him now! :furious:

Who knows where Julia was or what she was doing that long ago?

Sweet Sky, I hope that I am wrong in all this and you are safe and happy somewhere. Please let you be found soon.

Flickr data reveals when photos of Sky Metalwala were taken

A custody hearing with Sky's mother, Julia Biryukova, and father, Solomon Metalwala, is scheduled for Friday regarding Sky's 5-year-old sister.

Biryukova's Flickr account showed pictures of Sky and his sister in summer-like weather, but those photos have since been taken down. However, a Google search reveals cached Flickr data, showing many of the photos were uploaded as late as November, 2011.

It also shows when some of the pictures were taken -- and for those pictures, none of them were taken after fall of 2010.

I find it hard to believe that no photos were taken after the fall of 2010. Sky would have been less than one year old in the summer photos if none of the photos were taken after the fall of 2010.

All I know is that June 15th was overcast and raining and the pics from Grandma S's backyard were sunny.

Sometimes the bad guys get away with it. Dispensing with the constitution doesn't change that, it just makes it worse.

I think the key word here is 'some'.

As for the stylist - if they used a credit card/bank card to pay for the services they received that day - they should be able to go back and find when it was paid for. With all of our business merchant accounts we can log in online and search several ways to find transactions. I know we can at a minimum go back a year......

I think their hope is that Sky went missing at the same time grandpa was visiting from Ukraine (which apparently was in April). Then presumably Sky could still be alive (albeit not in US). But we heard that there is a sighting from a neighbor that saw Sky in Oct. Also, IF there are photos of Sky after grandpa had already left to go back then Sky couldn't have gone missing at the same time. Sounds like defense lawyer can't find a doctor who saw Sky during the summer or fall of 2011. I don't think that means anything in itself, because JB could have just stopped taking children to a doctor. It sounds like she became more and more reclusive before Sky went missing. I hope police at least clears up whether they have any credible evidence when Sky was last seen.

She's not well, but she'd be found fit to stand trial, I'm pretty sure. LE would have taken her to the hospital on the day she reported Sky missing if she was a danger to herself or others. They didn't. If anything, it appears she definitely knows what she did to Sky was "wrong" and illegal or else she wouldn't be going to such great lengths to keep it a secret. Just my :twocents:

I know that Solomon has been holding on to hope that little Sky is alive. I am certain that he is clinging to this hope with all of his might. However, I believe that LE should be able to confirm very quickly if Grandpa traveled with a toddler when he returned. I would think that airline travel is VERY backed up and accessible to LE. ??

I looked at the weather, and WELL DONE HAMBIRG !! This website http://www.wunderground.com/US/WA/Bellevue.html confirms that it was overcast and rainy on June 15.

Are Julia's friends (especially Grandma S) cooperating with LE? They should CERTAINLY have seen Sky since May. Right? Why is the last known "possible" sighting from a neighbor in October? Why not Julia's friends? I know that she alienated her family, but what about friends?? Come on LE - please let us in on something! Please let us know that you are going to solve this!! Where are you baby Sky??
