I get so mad thinking about Sky and how long has gone by without any action. The best thing that could have happened would have been for LE to haul Julia's butt into the interrogation room as soon as they realized her stories didn't hold any water. You said you left Sky in the car to go get gas. however, gas was in the car. Ergo you did not have to leave. You are covering something up and where is Sky!?

They should have charged her with something, anything. I doubt she will ever be charged. She knows they don't have enough or they would have done so already. At the very least in the beginning if they had charged her she might have been scared enough to talk, thinking she was going to go down. What incentive is there now?

Even though there is no blood or direct evidence of foul play, I cannot believe that her original story was not suspicious enough to take instant action. Lying to the police? Obstructing justice?

I completely agree. Completely. I have a hard time when I see Sky's thread sometimes because its just so frustrating. I just don't understand it, it seems like the only people thinking about sky are websleuthers. Has LE made any recent statements? .

The Bellevue Police Department issued the following statement:


The Bellevue Police Department wanted to publicly recognize the one year anniversary of the reported missing two year old, Sky Metalwala. This police investigation is still open and active and the effort on this case has never stopped.

We know it has been hard for family members to cope with the disappearance. It is not uncommon that new information may still come to light even after a year or more.

Sky was reported missing by his mother on November 6, 2011 in Bellevue after reporting she ran out of gas and left Sky in the vehicle while walking to find gas. When she returned, Sky was missing. An intensive search took place, but Sky was not located.

Anyone with any information regarding Sky should email [email protected].

Lol, I get confused with this stuff too, but when I read the advice I did think that it wasn't the way I did it! It can't be done easily on an ipad, I know that. I have to post a picture online so it has an url to put in the box, then it comes out the right size. A normal computer lets you see the url though, so you can paste it straight from there. I think it's the manage attachment box you put it into?

If all else fails, I ask Mr Z to help, but I realise not everyone has one of them to hand!

The statement is so wrongly worded!

Now police have discovered that Biryukova did go to a gas station, but never bought gas. In the hour she was away from the car, she had walked through a wealthy neighborhood, not asking for help. This adds to the worry family and police have that Sky could be dead.

Now she was committed involuntarily, meaning she went because her husband complained to police that she had suicidal threats. I've been MIA, my great grandson was born a week ago. I got to be at the birth. What a precious miracle.

Makes me think about the little miracle Sky was when he was born and how that was taken from Solomon. Life of a child is so precious and the joys are numerous. How can a mother, who carried her baby for 9 months, who went throug the birthing process not give a care that he's not with her anymore??? How can she go on with her life like he never existed??? Inconceivable.

The other day I posted a "how to" about inserting pictures. Well I just tried it on another thread, and I was/am COMPLETELY WRONG! So, I ended up using the "attach" function, not the "insert image". Does anyone know what the statute of limitations are on neglect or endangering the life of a child (charges of this nature)?

I hope this case doesn't end up like Juliette's case (in my siggie). The DA drug his feet and nothing was done until it was too late. All but one charge on the mom was dropped and same for the ex-bf (who murdered Juliette)....statute of limitations ran out! :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Julia just CAN NOT WALK FREE!!!! She has to answer for this. Why isn't LE requesting that she come in for an "interview" not an interrogation? They could explain that they want to get her story again to see if they may have missed something or if she remembered something from that day. If she continues to hide behind her lawyer (and 5th Amendment right), then they have to do something.

I wonder if they have had a therapist speak with MM about that day. She may not remember much, but it wouldn't hurt to start talking to her.

And, call in the family of Julia's....and her friends who have to be covering for something....WHY OH WHY isn't anyone standing up for this precious little man? Well, other than Solomon and strangers.

Maybe it's time to start drafting SKY'S LAW. A parent/guardian/adult (in general) should NOT be able to hide behind the 5th Amendment when a babies/child's life is at stake. What about the innocent child's rights? What about the child's rights to be protected by this "mom" who chose to have him and raise him?

I could go on. I'm just :furious:

In the light of JB's 'seeking an arrangement' ads, is it possible JB wandered through that wealthy area hoping a wealthy man might come to her aid? I know that sounds very cold-hearted, but the way she claims to be a mom of two to elicit sympathy, without mentioning one of those children is missing and she doesn't see the other, makes me think she can be very detached.

I would also like to know why she was trying so hard to take the children to the Ukraine during the custody dispute, yet doesn't seem to have shown any interest in going there now she is completely free to do so. What could her plan have been?

Isn't lithium prescribed for quite serious disorders? If JB was ever charged with a crime, would she actually be fit to stand trial?

That poster with the three little pics of him at the top - he looks as though he is such a personality. Just one of those babies whose character shines through from the moment they are born. It really is so, so sad that he can be missing and his mom or her family aren't helping to find him.

Oh, please contact him and get Sky's name out there! I truly believe this is a case that could be successfully prosecuted without a body (that feels horrible to write, but it is what it is). Unfortunately, I believe JB put Sky in the trash chute of Veloce Apartments and I do not think his body will ever be found. At some point, LE has to move on and find other ways of successfully prosecuting this case with the limited evidence they have -- and I do believe it is enough for them to move forward (the key FoB swipes at Veloce, JB's movements in the days afterwards, the positive hits from cadaver dogs, evidence from little M, prior evidence of abuse and neglect, JB lying to police on the day of Sky's "disappearance," etc).

Question - didn't the LE "mark off" an area at the dump where Sky might be when the dogs hit on the trash chute? I thought I had read that here. ?? They should start searching there - as I don't believe Julia's story either about running out of gas considering her car HAD gas...

This is a technical question, but does anyone know why, if Sky isn't on the home page and you do a search, only the old threads come up?

I'm only asking because I sometimes have to click through loads of old threads to get to this one, and I wouldn't like any new posters to have that problem. If this is just me doing something wrong, please let me know.

What I do is select this thead as "Favorite" saving it in my "Websleuths" folder and marking which post number I need to read next. Saves time in hunting down a thread I was reading and wondering "where" I left off! :findinglink: LOL!

I am glad that baby Elaina's egg donor was arrested. I am SO happy that LE put so much pressure on her right away and was able to get at least a partial confession leading to her arrest.

I honestly wish that LE had been tougher on JB from the get-go. Her story just DOESN'T add up, never did, never will. I still wonder if a little time in the filthy slammer would have made her sing. {sigh} Too many what-ifs!

I'm pretty sure LE marked off the area that trash from Veloce Apartments was taken to -- but that it was only marking off the area of the last trash dump or last week of trash dumps, something like that. Because Sky could have disappeared anytime between April and November, they weren't able to cordon off that large an area.

I think they haven't searched it because they don't know when he actually went missing and, even searching a day's or week's worth of trash is a HUGE expense in terms of time, manpower, and money -- let alone searching an area of over 6 month's worth of trash. And, it's not just the trash from Veloce -- it's from the whole neighborhood. I think it's probably not even humanly possible for them to search all the trash dumps from April on. But, that's just a guess. I think the actual prospect of finding Sky's body is pretty bleak because of the flimsy timeline -- but, they need to rely on other evidence and tighten up this case!
