SAME IMPRESSION.
Grandma, uncle and J as feelingless. Except J has feeling for her self, maybe instinct....

Sky you have to come back. We love you.

I really think that J left that car assuming that it would be stolen. That would give her a nice, convenient suspect in Sky's disappearance. Also the police would be less likely to notice that the car had gas and no reason to stall.
Does anyone agree or am I on the wrong track?

That's interesting. I can't remember any of the articles mentioning car keys. I wonder if Julia's friend would have noticed if the car keys had been left in the ignition? There is one article where the friend mentioned being shocked to see Julia walking towards her without Sky, but I can't recall reading anything about the friend looking into the car.

I'm not sure how stealable that make and model vehicle would be without the keys.

Ooh, I wonder if that area had an historical association with an abduction/carjacking/theft crime etc?

JB felt it was ok to leave children (and/or small infants) alone in a car (on 2 occassions she self disclosed), and a toddler and small child alone at home for over 12 hours (self disclosure day of mediation). Did she grow up in the Ukraine or the US? Could this be a cultural issue she feels is totally acceptable? There have been misunderstandings with newly immigrated Ukraine or Slovic people into different communities in the US. The US has laws against leaving children unattended, and someone upthread posted a link to the Ukraine's national campaign to eliminate this practice. Even if JB was using this story as a "coverup of her other heinous deeds" (which is what I highly suspect) - she still feels this is an acceptable behavior for a mother of a toddler who was so sick she was taking him to the hospital. What she has admitted to was:
1) Sky went missing while unsupervised by a responsible adult. (neglect)
2) Sky was so ill he requried immediate medical attention, had never seen a medical doctor for immunizations and well-child checks. (medical neglect)
3) JB left the children @ home unattended and unsupervised for 12 hours during the mediation marathon. (lack of appropriate supervision - no attempts to provisions to ensure child health/safety/welfare)
4) JB attempted to conceal facts to evade being questioned in the disappearance of her son. (saying car ran out of gas when it had fuel in the tank)
5) Not driving Sky to the nearest medical facility but across town.
6) Where did the children sleep? eat? did they have food in the home? Did the children have age approprite toys, beds, educational opportunities, social interaction? Did anyone other than SM and JB see these children? When did she last take the kids to church?
7) JB has refused to allow SM any visits with Sky - she has kept that promise.
8) JB has a history of mental instability, medicated recently?

Depending on how long Julia lived in the Ukraine, she could well have been brought up with the Soviet-era comprehensive, state childcare. Every woman was expected - and did - work full time then, and childcare was provided for all. There is an excellent blog about those days here.
http://adventuresofukrainian.com/2012/10/26/soviet-day-care-aka-detskiy-sad/

Even post-Soviet, I'd be surprised if Ukrainians developed a 'culture' of child neglect - it's likely to be a result of poverty/lack of education/ drink or drug problems, as it is in other countries. Julia seems educated and have a protective family; I don't think she can blame anyone or anything for her neglect of Sky. Except herself.

Bumping for you little guy. Never will you be forgotten by your Sky Crew.

Bump for Sky. Still no news and his mother hasn't broken her silence and done the right thing by her boy.

Little Sky, you are always on my mind. Your case haunts me to my very soul. Where are you baby? When will there be justice for you?

Someone knows where Sky is. Have they shared that knowledge with anyone? Does anyone have a suspicion, maybe heard a slip of the tongue or odd remark that has made them wonder if that person is responsible?

If anyone has, there really is no choice but to come forward - this is a baby we are talking about.

Just read this:
CA- Mother of Nine Accused of Starving 4-Year-Old Daughter - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

Woman has 9, nine kids and can expect sentence to 14 years in jail. I imagine working many hours to feed them, send to school, by books ...... she didn't have support.

Why JB was not accused as mother of two unnourished babies, for me is not right!!!!!!!!!

Proving Sky was undernourished would be impossible now, I guess, but child protection must have a report on his sister. If Julia was charged with neglect of only that child, I don't really see why police would have to reveal all the information they have about Sky to her lawyer. But that's what Solomon's laywer has said will happen.

It seems very strange and unfair to me.

Found you.....on page 3!

I wish there would be a break in this case. Surely, Julia isn't smart enough to pull off the "perfect" crime. They have to have some type of evidence against her, don't they? :please:

My concern is that they have no plans of charging her with anything (apparently not even related to MM) because it could cause an issue SHOULD they ever find Sky (or evidence related to his disappearance). There are statute of limitations on such things as child neglect, etc. Just like in the case of Juliette Geurts (whose body was never missing) - the SA waited too long to file charges (that's a whole other story) and the mother is walking free. :banghead: The mom's bf will one day face trial (after the continuous delays) for a lesser charge than murder. Juliette was beaten to death. :furious:

Dear Sky Crew,

I am sorry I have been away for so long -- I have a really good excuse! But, first, I find it so sad that Sky was found on page 4 so I'm giving him one HUGE BUMP!

Anyhow, I was away because I was busy with the birth of my son! River Mateo was born on July 14th. He weighed in at a hefty 9lbs, 3 oz and 21.5 inches in length. He's the love of my life and I don't think I've ever been this happy before. We considered Sky as a middle name (with a different first name) but eventually settled on River Mateo. Sometimes, we call him 'Rio' for short since he has some Hispanic genes. His middle name, Mateo, means 'Gift of God' and that's truly what he feels like -- such a tiny blessing after such a long wait. :) I hope that he, one day, grows into a bold but kind young man who uses his talents to help others -- much like the generous hearts on this forum do every day for Sky. I've missed you guys!

Now, bump-bump-bump!

Love,
~Rouge

Congratulations with your beautiful son Rouge!! He is adorable :heartbeat::thewave:

Rouge, he's precious. What a head of hair he has. River Mateo, what a strong name. Mateo is Spanish for Matthew. I have a Matthew/Mateo. We call him one or the other, depending on whether he's in trouble or not, or whether his dad wants a favor from him or not. LOL :) Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Rouge.

Now that you see your son, doesn't it just blow your mind that any parent can look upon their child and harm them in any way??? They are all gifts from God. They come into this world helpless and dependent on us for everything. Little Sky was 3 years out from his birth day, and his mother left him sick, alone in a car according to her own words. At worst, he harmed him and got rid of him. How can anyone do that???
