Warren Jeffs FLDS compound in Texas surrounded by police #5

  • #481
I think the reason the men seem to have disappeared from the compound is that the DNA testing is going to show that in addition to all the rest of what was going on that incest has also been a part of this cult.

There are several older articles on the rickross website that make it pretty clear that incest is also a part of this very ugly lifestyle.

YFZ Ranch, Limited Liability Co. set up to buy the compound site
UEP Trust
the Corporation of the President of the FLDS, Corporation of the Presiding Bishop of the FLDS and the FLDS.

The sect members live in a communal property situation, and the UEP Trust is the holding company that owns the property.

Wisan said he suspects imprisoned FLDS prophet Jeffs was draining the trust, which is owned by the sect membership, to fund the building and operation of the 1,700-acre compound in Schleicher County.

The 1,700 acres of ranch and structures on it are valued at roughly $21 million, according to Schleicher County officials. The temple alone has a value of some $8 million.

Oh, it is definitely in the pubic record. A person has to actually go into the bowels of a courthouse and search through the giant books and maps for themselves, however. There is no one in any courthouse who will look up that information and give it out. But it is open for anyone to do.

Truly, I'm not through the whole thread yet ... as soon as I get a chance I try to sleuth it out. The name of the party who purchased the property is in one of our threads. I remember it had been published in the little Eldorado newspaper.

Allred is considered a possible successor to Warren.

Another possible successor is David Steed Allred, the man behind the FLDS' purchase of several properties – including the large, gated Yearning for Zion ranch in the West Texas town of Eldorado, where the sect has built its first-ever temple. (For more on that, see "Meet the New Neighbors," July 29, 2005.)

A little more about this Wisan character.

Apparently, he's willing to settle a claim by 6 "lost boys" against the UEP

http://www.rickross.com/reference/polygamy/polygamy626.html

but he wants a similar claim by "a former teen bride" to be thrown out of court

http://www.wwrn.org/article.php?idd=27085&con=4&sec=26

I'm thinking the "teen brides" need to file a class action! :behindbar

Seven, I find it very disturbing that they're willing to take care of the boys, but screw the women and children. :furious: :furious:

FLDS attorney disputes numbers of teens that are pregnant or mothers. I think it's a lot of propaganda and misdirection. Who's to say he has all the CPS documents? I like how he just dismissed a girl from the list because she'll turn 18 in a FEW months.

http://www.sltrib.com/polygamy/ci_9056589

An attorney for FLDS families in Texas challenged the state's allegations of a "pervasive pattern" of underage girls having children, saying the state's own documents show just three teenagers in custody are pregnant. Of those girls, one will turn 18 in a few months and another merely refused to take a pregnancy test, said Rod Parker, a Salt Lake City attorney representing families at the YFZ Ranch. "That leaves us with one," he said. Parker also said Friday that one state document includes a woman whose first child was born more than a decade ago. He said he based his statements on a copy of a list created by an investigator for Texas Child Protective Services.

It seems that's what they do best, golfmom!

I'm thinking the guy who made those statements, Wisan, is hoping he can dissuade as many as possible just by his words.

I'm also thinking He and the rest of them w/b trying to hide their assets before any more of these cases make it to court (especially when he thinks about each sister wife being expected to produce one child per year)!

I'd like to know who exactly are the trustees to the UEP.

Thanks for the links golfmom...
You can sure tell the lawyer in the above article is FLDS. He is trying to make a mockery of the law. Its all lies according to him a defense lawyer all the way.

Have we heard yet who took over Warren Jeffs wives & children when he went to prison? They surely have to have a Ruler of the roost, or it would be breaking the FLDS law.

ST. GEORGE — Third District Court Judge Denise Lindberg issued an order this morning for administration of the United Effort Plan, the financial arm of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and establishes a new board of advisors. Former Dixie State College President Robert Huddleston heads the list of new advisory board members to work with a court-appointed Special Fiduciary who will administer UEP funds and holdings. Other board members are Margaret Cooke, Carolyn Jessop, Rayo Spencer Johnson, John Nielsen and Don Timpson.

My understanding is that Jeffs hasn't released his wives or children. He still maintains control.

Although that seems to be slipping out of his grasp.

Carolyn Jessop got a divorce from Merrill Jessop, and initially Merrill Jessop got visitation with their 8 children. She eventually won sole legal and physical custody, but I don't think she got child support. Carolyn and her children were dependent on charity for a few years.

I don't understand why she shouldn't have received child support. If he was the father of those 8 chldren and has visitation, why would this be?

The best way to get some of these men is to hit them financially. Each one of these men fathered kids and needs to be held legally responsible for them. This means child support. I'll bet this would make some of those lecherous old men regret their actions.

I think Jeffs is still "the man," although it's difficult to use the term "man." It's my understanding he's ruling the roost from prison.

I don't know about others here, but this case just has me boiling. The men & women of the FLDS all need prosecuted for this mess.

I'm sick & tired of hearing about them & there rights being violated. The lawyer said in above article the state lied, when stating siblings would be kept together. One family had 13 & were seperated. I say to him.......nobody in there right damn minds should have 13 kids. Both the mother & father should of been made to be sterilized! In this day & age NOBODY can afford to feed that many kids ot give them a decent education.

We know they don't waste money on the kids, toys, education or clothes. We know they throw the boys away like grabage. They molest & rape young girls. They're kept prisoners at the ranch.

Now the parents are crying our RIGHTS are violated. What are they thinking? We went over & bombed Iraq for the country being run by a mad man / today we have the same thing in our country at the FLDS ranch.

Thanks Trino.....that is my understanding too.
He sure wouldn''t leave his wives & kids unattended while he is in prison. In other households kids go to bed with one Dad in the morning a new Dad. Why is or would his household be any different? The wives are supposed to have 1 baby per year & he's out of commission for a few child bearing years. (Hopefully forever) Someone would have to rule the roost.
