How can Baez do any leg work? He's been busy doing "leg work" with KC in his office for six hours a day everyday for how long now?!?

The only place KC has looked for Caylee is Fusion. Does JB want the Court to grant him the right to go there with her? Does JB want to get "in" to Lake Vaj?

So what's the upshot?

- No decision yet on the relaxing of home confinement
- Baez gets the discovery stuff he's entitled to, some of which has already been made available but he hasn't availed himself of
- no stopping of the testing
- Baez told to do his own homework

What was the upshot of the motion requesting that Kobi check the air in the trunk?
right - he got only that to which he was legally entitled to, by all accounts, prior to today, and the "reaching" motions were all, as expected, taken under advisement. No real surprise today, if you ask me :)

Now, if JB hasn't availed himself of the discovery materials already available to him and he shows up at HIS OWN MOTION HEARING asking the judge to "make her gimme' everything she's got," someone please tell me what exactly he has been doing for the past month....anyone?

LOL, I think KC picked the perfect match in an attorney. Same philosophy- I don't want to do any of the work, but lemme have what you worked hard for, ok? LOL

You're assuming he had a mind to begin with. LOL He sounds like a bumbling uneducated atty. I have never seen a more pathetic lawyer. I couldn't stand Geragos in SP's trial, but JB makes him look like a genius.

I didn't like Geragos during the SP trial but Geragos is an excellent lawyer. very eloquent and well versed on the rule of law. Baez and the rule of law are strangers. Today was " A WASTE, HUGE WASTE" of taxpayers money. It was said in wesh 2 that this case is costing the state 300K a day! Geez! and Baez just added more to it!

I understood that motion - the stopping of testing and/or preservation of samples - that was the one Kobe testified on - Strickland took that motion under advisement. That was the 3rd of the motions he did not rule on today:

1) allowed to travel
2) the sealing of records
3) the preservation or stopping of testing until defense can be present (however, I took it as LE is still allowed to continue its investigation)

Judge said he will rule on the first two either late today or Monday and the 3rd he said if either side has additional responses they should be submitted no later that close of business today.

I have been reading EVERYTHING about this case for two months. All of you are fantastic.:blowkiss: I just have to jump on this bandwagen.

JB is an IDIOT!!!!

Do the leg work yourself! What on earth has he been doing in that office from 10-4?

I pray Tim finds Caylee.

Thanks for all the great work
Welcome to WS! I think she spends all day on the computer reading here and other sites trying to see what people are saying and thinking about the case to make up more lies. And then god knows what else.

Ok ... speaking as a former attorney ... WTF? I have never ever seen an attorney so ill prepared!! Screaming the word "objection" in court does nothing if you cannot tell the judge WHY you object; just the same as presenting a motion to the court without any legal precedence ... he did not cite a single ruling ... case ... or even a real rule of law ... he hinted at a rule of law but it was so clear that he was not familiar enough with the verbiage that he could not quote it!!

Reactions from others in the field?

O.M.G.

WTF??????????

I mean i knew JB had little experience in lawyering but seriously... WOW.

Its like one of those skits you see on comedy shows. I think that a person dragged off the street could have done better!

He did not have LEGAL arguement for any of his motions! It was all "I think" and "its unique" and "we want what they have". He had nothing! NOTHING!!!

As if he was participating in a high school debate. And he had no time to prepare. And had smoked some "happy" cigarettes right before hand...

I have to say it again - wow... just...WOW.
How funny is it going to be when all his all of the 5000 tips arrive? The boxes and boxes and boxes and boxes of them! BWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

As for the air in the trunk - JB is allowed to "inspect" the car - but not take or test anything concerning the car - however an air sample is not really "taking" anything so that was granted.

One does not need to be a lawyer to see that this man is a buffoon.

:furious:I can not believe that she even asked to do her own search for Caylee. She had 31 days to do it and she spent those days partying & stealing. Where is she going to search now? Please I am sorry but I think she is just looking for a little action if you know what I mean, because she can't do anything at Mom and Dads place.

Granted motion re polygraphs. Give them what they have ... names of people who took them and results.

As far as the qualifications of people who gave tests, he will revisit that after JB finds qualifications (if he feels they were not qualified).

I just find it utterly amazing that defense attorneys cry FOUL anytime someone brings up the fact that their clients should take a polygraph, but that is one of the FIRST things they want from the prosecution.

If they are so UNRELIABLE and not good enough for the defendants, how come they all salivate when there is data available on prosecution witnesses?

It STINKS of HYPOCRASY.

I think if they want prosecution data on polygraphs, their clients should be mandated to take them as well.

Obviously there is enough truth in the results, otherwise defense attorneys wouldn't be so adamant about getting everyone else's.

I thought JB said that KC was supposed to speak to the judge today about her wanting to "search" - where was she?

Also, I thought that whole two hours was a WASTE, HUGE WASTE, as Tuesday the Grand Jury is going to indict for Murder 1 anyway.

I love this statement from JB "No, I don't have any statements to make right now," Baez said. "I'm going to court." Should have known from that it was going to be interesting.

The thing that gets me is the DNA thing If they have to give half of hair to the defense it would destroy that evidence Someone please explain all this that has happened it is hard to grasp when u have a Migraine Please help Me Thanks, Painfully asking?

I think if the DNA evidence is small, then they are requesting the right to be present when it is tested.

They're not admissible in court so I don't think that the results are necessarily what he might be interested in...The line of questioning and the actual answers may be of value though...
