someone on another thread called him and he confirmed she will not be speaking this weekend due to outraged attendees.

:floorlaugh:

I must be a mean person because I find this hilarious! How people think they can slander a murdered victim and get away with it is a mystery to me.

Didn't you know not to speak ill of the dead, Miss 'I'd rather be the wicked witch than Snow White the goody two shoes'?

Good luck! I'm sure you'll make an excellent juror.

It is still a wonder to me how 12 whole people agreed with the Defense in KC's trial. I would have considered it a 'miracle' if one or two had but somehow all 12 agreed. I think even some alternate jurors said they didn't think KC was guilty!

Rose I will NEVER understand it. Not even any questions asked as far as I know. Hey, at least this trial does not get the "dessert lady".

I was looking forward to that show when I first heard about it, but it's turned into a joke.... and a bad one at that.

I have to agree with you. I was hoping it was finally going to give venue for Mike, Vinnie, Ryan etc. to discuss the cases in the news. I find them all to be very likeable and Mike's views are really interesting. However, it has turned into silliness with this whole jury thing. I am so completely over NG. I can't stand her, she almost got me last night with the scroll about live testimony, but I had her muted so I never had to listen to her drivel. Who the hell cares about Jodi's high school friend? What insight do they ever have? That whole fiasco with NG and Dr. Drew was staged so that you would listen to Nancy and get five minutes or so of testimony on Dr. drew. I am so annoyed with the amount of breaks taken by HTV now that they are exclusive with the trial. They should have uninterrupted coverage by now, they have to have paid their sponsors for the next five years. But am I there everyday to listen. Why Yes, yes I am. I have no boundaries lol. Where's ALV?

SW's evil stepmother:

* had all the power because the king was dead
* talked to her Magic Mirror, aka journal, daily
* MM in 1937 provided info - today it's the internet
* constantly checking MM for possible rivals (Deanna, Lisa, Mimi, etc)
* retaliated against rivals (stalking, tire-slashing, "whoredoms", etc)
* decided to kill object of hate by literally cutting out her heart
* disguised herself to get near her prey and to later fool the jury

Y'all, please excuse my quoting myself, but the video of ALV describing Disney SW's father as impotent and neglectful sent me to Wikipedia to see if the Disney version had a father, because I didn't remember one. There was no voice actor for that role, so SW's father was at most briefly shown and didn't speak. I thought this from Wiki about the original Disney storyline was interesting though:

"After the failure of the [poisoned] comb, the Queen was to have the Prince captured and taken to her dungeon, where she would have come to him (story sketches show this event both with the Queen and the Witch) and used magic to bring the dungeon's skeletons to life, making them dance for him and identifying one skeleton as "Prince Oswald", an example of the more humorous atmosphere of this original story treatment. It is written in story notes that the Queen has such magical power only in her own domain, the castle. [BBM]With the Prince refusing to marry her, the Queen leaves him to his death (one sketch shows the Prince trapped in a subterranean chamber filling with water)"

Yikes!!!

I agree. I also think that most men aren't afraid of the woman/women in their lives because there may be this underlining feeling that they can defend themselves fairly easily if things went awry. False sense of security for some, including TA.

You're right, of course -- but for my part, I always bear in mind that women are much more likely than men to use poison. "Here honey, here's your favorite dinner -- and what have we here? Your favorite dessert, too!"

She has betrayed those she cares the most for. If I weren't so mad at her, it would be sad to see her facing the consequences of her deliberate choice of actions.
Karma at work.

Looks like it was quite a night last night after I went to bed. I don't understand in coming to a victim friendly forum, being a bully and abusive when they want us to understand what abuse is while their doing it to us.

I know ALV is getting paid time and travel expenses to and from and wonder if the state would be picking up the tab for her airfare to and from that conference and how much she' s charging to hear her speak?

Joining late, but I was making more videos for the trial. This one is a snippet of ALV's Snow White story from 2008. I can't find any of her Las Vegas or Los Angeles seminars. It's in two parts.

snipped video

I'm pages behind as usual

I watched the terribly abused:rolleyes: Snow White CARTOON Movie when I was a child( my mom(RIP) threw a soft soled moccosin at us once, bad aim she missed)Did watching Snow White cause me as BASHFUL as I was to marry a GRUMPY? I went to the DOC to make me less DOPEY and more HAPPY. When I booted Grumpy I was less SLEEPY and SNEEZY as I was allergic to his behavior.

Actually the last time my ex hit me I grabbed him by the hair pulled him to my face and said if you ever hit me again I will kill you. He never hit me again, but I divorce him anyway

Didn't you know not to speak ill of the dead, Miss 'I'd rather be the wicked witch than Snow White the goody two shoes' expert?

Card-carrying member of Club Mean here then. :) I just pulled a stomach muscle from laughing so hard....it's TOTALLY deserved. No apology necessary imo.

There are consequences for every action. Not our problem that ALV didn't take this into account when she was trashing an innocent murder victim on the stand. Don't like it? Too bad, you reap what you sew. People are outraged and rightfully so. What she has done here has set back the REAL cause for victims back 70 years.

I don't have a drop of sympathy for her. Not one. An army stands behind TA- now we have the proof.

Exactly. I would be surprised if the jury doesn't feel the same way.

I wonder if she and her friends are cackling and laughing today, after having found out about this?

Gus later elaborated about the passenger in his car on ne of the HLN shows. It was a woman who didn't want to be identified because she was afraid of the media at the time. He said his SO knew there was nothing going on. He gave her name in that interview.

Thanks! But when was this and under what circumstance was this car ride? Was this on June 4th?

Yeah sure...he gave her name in an interview after he COULD'VE easily told her to pretend she was with him. I don't trust him.

And sadly I don't think a lot of corroboration was made on some of these characters because so much time had gone by by the time they figured out who was who and their potential role in all this.

I mean, they probably didn't even hear about Gus until July 15th during the interrogation, right? So that gave him 6 weeks to make up alibis with pretend people. And because this was out-of-state probably it probably put a hamper on this investigation too. Damn! I think Gus is in on this somehow. He's so shady.

Can you just clarify this incident that interested Juan enough to even bring up, please?
Thanks again!

I think it's been confirmed that they've cancelled her appearance at the conference this weekend owing to negative reaction from the attendees. Links earlier in the thread.

BBM Will you be providing condiments, counselor? Thanks for the legal take on the "journal" issue -- goodness knows few of us believe that it accurately reflects events as they occurred at the time.

You know, I think about what my journal would look like -- if I had either the time or inclination to keep one -- and I know very well it would be useless if at some point in the future I was accused of a crime. Sample entries would look something like this:

Monday: Well today I thought I had a dental appt but I guess it's tomorrow maybe. Probably mow the lawn if it stops raining. I had an idea I wanted to write down but I can't remember it. Oh,
Tuesday: Guess I never finished yesterday, I'm tired, thinking about lunch. What was I supposed to do after lecture? I need to get that book from the library
Wednesday: Missed my dental appt. yesterday. Rescheduled it but I don't remember when. Forgot to mow the lawn. Need to remember to buy something. Where is my
Thursday: Finally found my pen.
Friday: DW reminded me about some appt. and I need to write it down. It's on Monday, but I don't remember what month.

:cow:
:floorlaugh:
Hey, did you copy my journal?

Wow! Imagine my surprise when I was flipping tv channels and heard Juan's voice's talking about a man stabbing his wife in the middle of the night. Apparently they are showing an old case of his. Will tune in now and see him in action. What a coincidence. If anyone is interested it is an old 20/20 episode on the WE channel right now.

ETA: It's the Scott Falater case.

Yes and that just cost her one little speaking engagement too.

We shall see whether it is the first of many to come...

Alyce, don't spend that $300/hour all in one place.

Better sock some away for a rainy, cancelled speaking engagement day.

I could almost feel sorry for ALV, but she really did cross professional and ethical boundaries when she called Travis a perpetrator.

It is considered unethical to diagnose someone without actually meeting and evaluating that person. I know this and I'm not even a shrink.

I'm OK with her saying that if we accept as true what JA has said, then the relationship could be viewed as abusive and I do not think that is unethical.

I really don't know why she thinks she's qualified to testify in a criminal case - big mistake that she will now be paying dearly for.

I hear ya. I partially blame the Dessert Lady-they were all on a sugar high-kidding. I think many dynamics led to that verdict and I believe sequestration was one. I don't have an issue of it during deliberation. During Trial I do. IMO
