It was like she brought her own living laugh track. Like she thought she was the star of her own comedy show.

Well, comedy = tragedy over time...

...good to see she is treating this case with the respect it deserves.

I'm no psychic, but I guarantee you this point will be made repeatedly - probably ad nauseum. He has already touched on it.

Ok good. Work just gets in the way of my trial watching and I cannot watch anything at home (gotta keep peace). I am lunch breaking right now trying to
somewhat catch up.

Does anyone know if there is a chain of evidence on her journals? How much time did she have to falisfy, add or subtract. Were they in the hands of the defense?

Good question. I'm sure Juan will point that out.

Are juror 5's notes still available to the other jurors to review? Or are they thrown out along with her?

They can't read someone else's notes.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll make an excellent juror.

It is still a wonder to me how 12 whole people agreed with the Defense in KC's trial. I would have considered it a 'miracle' if one or two had but somehow all 12 agreed. I think even some alternate jurors said they didn't think KC was guilty!

That totally defies all logic to me, always has and always will. I just do not understand it.

Maybe I'm just more cynical than most people, I don't know. I used to pay life insurance claims, and I know first hand what people will do and say, especially when money is involved. Very few terrible things that people do surprise me anymore, after doing that job. It's interesting, but it certainly didn't give me very much faith in people.

Plus, my mother was a police officer when I was growing up. Those two things pretty much guarantee that I'll never be picked to be on the jury of a murder trial. The defense would hate me, but the prosecution would probably love to have me!

I agree with others that it's hilarious ALV was basically fired from her speaking engagement this weekend because of backlash.

I have no respect for that woman. Zero. She got up there and spouted off what the defense paid her to say. She disparaged a dead man who was savagely, brutally murdered by the defendant (a defendant who admits she did it).

What moral human being could do such a thing?? She deserves whatever negativity she gets from this. Law of attraction and all.

She had up to her arrest to change them.

I doubt she could do it in jail. But it is dated 5/22, so she could have probably worked it into the journal after the murder.

This is another one with a bunch of bad stuff about Travis, so it's such a lie that she wouldn't write anything bad about him. She even calls him bipolar!

I would think that it would be obvious what day she actually wrote a legit (or her warped version of legit) journal entry for the last time and at what point she started fabricating things that would be in line for either her "plan" or the aftermath.

Hahahahaha - Juan's trying to describe the sex they had the afternoon of the murder - "Yes, they are 'going at it"" - it just hit my funny bone. Oh, Juan--lol

Because this trial has dragged on for so long, it is easy to get caught in the minutia of things and lose sight of things in their entirety. If this trial had lasted less than three weeks and focused on the real issues, like it should have, we would not be picking on minor points. It may be part of the DT strategy, hoping the jury can't see the forest for the trees. Closing arguments will put things sharply in focus again.

The jury does not know that they have met before. Because this trial has turned into a marathon, I forgot that JM and ALV have exchanged pleasantries in what has been reported as a heated meeting (the pedo incident in an evidentiary hearing).
:
The evidentary hearing has already been discussed so the jury would know they have met before. And if they missed that the first time, I'm sure the fact will come up again.

In any event, I wasn't saying the jury found JM too in your face. I was responding to a few people's comments on here.

She has betrayed those she cares the most for. If I weren't so mad at her, it would be sad to see her facing the consequences of her deliberate choice of actions.
Karma at work.

The unfortunate thing is I bet she DOES do great work in a counselling role with victims and abusers. Too bad she sold her soul for $$$.

I wish there was some way to know how her new book sells - the one that goes on sale 4/23.

In regard to ALV lecture/seminar/presentation "Was Snow White a Battered Woman"; this title does far more damage than to show the author's use of a fairy tale, (non-existant person) to demonstrate the effects of DV.

ALV said herself that she used that title because it was "catchy." Why did she need a catchy title? Is her knowledge/research not compelling enough on its own to cause people to want to hear from her? Why should the jury be listening to/believe an expert who needs a gimmick to catch people's attention?

When I attend a conference my attention is sometimes drawn to a well-worded presentation title. But, then I read about all the presentations and make my decision based upon the content. Assuming that everyone attending the conference/lecture wants to be there and has paid for the privilege, why would ALV need Snow White's help?

Exactly what is ALV trying to sell with a catchy title?

Furthermore, at a conference on a serious topics like DV I would think that a light-hearted reference to Walt Disney would go over like a lead balloon. My area of scholarship is not life and death, and yet for the most part the scholarship is taken very seriously and the presenters have the deepest respect for their topics. I guess I don't understand where, when, and for whom a lecture like this would be delivered because it comes across as demeaning and flippant, not "catchy."

As for the Snow White drawing and all the rest of JA's artwork, don't get me started. @@

This may be a stupid question but oh well.

Do the jurors get to see the things that aren't entered into evidence but are talked about during the trial? For instance, I don't think they entered TA's journals into evidence but JW went over parts of it with ALV. So can the jury read through it all when they deliberate?

Good morning!

Can anybody tell me approximately where in yesterday's testimony you can hear AL saying that Travis was not a victim? I want to see the reactions on people's faces as she says that. If I have to watch the entire day again, I will jump out of a window. Thanks :)

BBM

ALV would argue that this urge is most likely deeply rooted in your upbringing and a direct result of your (male) significant other asking you to take out the garbage.

Where can JMs opening statement be viewed?

That 5/22 one could very well be the start. She may have even done it before she left on her trip.

I personally have issues with a dismissed juror making a statement about "no statement" then showing up at the trial. Is there any better way to assure one will be the center of attention? Then claiming they have to go home and talk to their "legal advisors."

It's not about her and she just made herself the center of the circus. Legal advisors? She's a dismissed juror. GMAB

JMO

I think she came to court because she hasn't done anything wrong. She got kicked out because Jodi didn't like her. I might not agree with her decision, but she did nothing wrong.
