I think BOTH sides are afraid of him. He is too unpredictable. I think he escaped the false letter disaster by inches. And I am sure the state reminded him that they could reopen the mess and involve him in it if he tried to come on the stand and lie for her about seeing bruises etc. Just a hunch.

Couldn't he be deemed a hostile witness?

Lol, pushy, aren't we? :floorlaugh:

My last post for the night, I swear.... :)

When I lived with the 'man with NPD', he would always be challenging and starting arguments with me. One day I asked him, when were not arguing, if he didn't like the peace and harmony better than the stress and fighting. He said to me, "No, I like it when you are pi**ed off at me. Then I know that I have gotten to you and you will stew about it and me all day long.... Bad attention is just as good as good attention." And he smiled.
BINGO. Every now and then a sociopath tells you the God's honest truth, embedded although it may be.
JA was in heaven even when TA was irate at her. That meant she was on his mind and consuming his emotions, even if it was hatred.
Sick sick thing that she is.

A really, really good observation.:twocents:

Couldn't he be deemed a hostile witness?

If the PT calls him as their witness and he is testifying adversely, yes. But the problem with him, as is with JA, what's the truth, or is there any of it?

But wasn't her name (prior to MiMi) on the ticket to go with Travis, per PPL's attorneys?

What happened, did he just change his mind. Juan needs to bring this up!!

I dont know about this one...do we have any proof of this? I know this has been several years and policies have changed, but a family that I work for had a trip planned and paid for to Cancun this past Christmas holiday. They were suppose to be taking a neice with them to go along as a nanny, anyway the neice met her prince charming , fell in love and could not bear to be away from him .The family could NOT change the name on the ticket even though it was already paid for ...something about it being because it was out of the country travel? I will have to ask her more about that next week...Just wondering if we have ever confirmed this one...

Not worried myself, however, this post does have me curious what Juan Martinez's record is. I doubt he has lost very many cases.

:)

MOO

I believe Beth said he has tried over 300 cases and won almost all of them. I think she said he may have lost one in all that time. He is known as one of Arizona's best Prosecutors.

IMO

Heading to bed, since I volunteered to work tomorrow and Sunday...that way I can get home early on Monday and be off on Tuesday.... Oh gosh! That means I can watch more of the trial for real :) Funny how that worked :)
Nite all and stay safe! You all ROCK!

Geez. Where is everybody? I'm feeling so all-alone here ... and bored :waiting:

C'mon peeps ... is there anyone out there to keep me company. I had a valid question about MM ... trying to get some conversation going .... but .... I'm hearing crickets. TALK TO ME!!! (luv ya)

Hi Sydni:
I think MM would be crazy to lie for Jodi after all that has been said. But also for that same reason I don't think JM will call him as a witness. JMO

Sure is different than last night isn't it?

On the Interrogation tapes, there is a lady investigator I don't really care for. Her tone of voice, obvious lack of details about Travis, whatever.... Just something about her I don't like. Doesn't make a hill of beans about how I feel about Jodi, though.

AS much as I would TOTALLY hope that Arias would get the Death Penalty, I just can't see all those men on that Jury going through with it. I want her to get Death, but I bet she gets Life instead which is WRONG.

Why exactly do you think the men wouldn't go through with it? Just curious as to your theory dear =)

Really? Why? Do you think she is the least bit attractive? Maybe it's me, but I find her to be ....let's say.....

I don't see why they would have an issue just because they are men.

ITA! In fact I find men don't get into all the emotional drama. They go more by the proven facts in evidence. Imo, they will weigh her crime and the fact that she has lied and slandered the man she murdered to come to their decision and not the fact she is a female.

I'm more afraid of some woman believing the hogwash about her being abused than I am a man believing it.

You are not alone Sydni....:great:

I cannot see JM calling MM as a witness, he has already admitted that he would lie for JA. He was the target for the magazines that JA tried to smuggle out of prison with code notes therein, oops, I meant inside.

She has definitely "uglied" herself down. I never thought that she was attractive in the first place, but as the trial has gone on, I have found her downright repulsive!

Does anyone have a link to Juans opening statements... I found one but it does not start at the beginning...thanks !

Yes! This is a big fear of mine as well!

I actually think Wendi Andriano was more attractive at the time she murdered her husband than JA when she murdered Travis and they gave her the DP knowing she had two small children.

Imo, I think JA has turned into a rather homely looking person. Jail has not been kind... at least in the 'looks' department for Arias.

Seems to me it's very serious what Jodi did with the messages in the magazine thing. IMO, the one JM pulled out in court is not the only one. Too sophisticated for a novice try.

MM is important to this case.

I'm working on a project for WS, but took a break outside. There was a flock of birds flying over our field in an almost perfect "V". I say "almost", because out of the hundreds of birds in formation, there were six or seven flapping their little hearts out, but they just couldn't keep up.
As I watched, the flock slowed down, and ended in in almost a straight line rather than the "V" they once were. One by one, they opened a spot for the stragglers, formed a "V" once again, and flew off.

It reminded me of WS. Of how we share information, catch some of the stragglers up to speed, encourage the ones that are loosing faith, fit everyone into our group, and move on together.
This probably sounds corny, but it's what I thought of when I watched the birds with my grateful heart for WS.

ok - back to work on my project. BBL

That story was very thought provoking and happy. Travis is watching down on all of you dedicating your time for his Justice and keeping the meaning of his life in beautiful order... Thanks.
