BBM I'm the same way. My parents have always enabled my half sisters' behaviors. Two years ago my youngest sister was found dead in her apartment and the hardest thing I have ever had to do was sit my mother down and tell her that my sister had died and as a critical care nurse there have been many instances of where my heart was breaking for my families.

Oh God that's terrible NS! (((hugs)))

I don't disagree that Jodi might be diagnosed with HPD, but I think that JA has multiple symptoms that are more in line with Borderline Personality Disorder. :moo:

What are the symptoms of borderline personality disorder?

According to the DSM, Fourth Edition, Text Revision (DSM-IV-TR), to be diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, a person must show an enduring pattern of behavior that includes at least five of the following symptoms:

Extreme reactions—including panic, depression, rage, or frantic actions—to abandonment, whether real or perceived

A pattern of intense and stormy relationships with family, friends, and loved ones, often veering from extreme closeness and love (idealization) to extreme dislike or anger (devaluation)

Distorted and unstable self-image or sense of self, which can result in sudden changes in feelings, opinions, values, or plans and goals for the future (such as school or career choices)

Impulsive and often dangerous behaviors, such as spending sprees, unsafe sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, and binge eating

Recurring suicidal behaviors or threats or self-harming behavior, such as cutting

Intense and highly changeable moods, with each episode lasting from a few hours to a few days

Chronic feelings of emptiness and/or boredom

Inappropriate, intense anger or problems controlling anger

Having stress-related paranoid thoughts or severe dissociative symptoms, such as feeling cut off from oneself, observing oneself from outside the body, or losing touch with reality.

Seemingly mundane events may trigger symptoms. For example, people with borderline personality disorder may feel angry and distressed over minor separations—such as vacations, business trips, or sudden changes of plans—from people to whom they feel close. Studies show that people with this disorder may see anger in an emotionally neutral face5 and have a stronger reaction to words with negative meanings than people who do not have the disorder.

http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publ...toms-of-borderline-personality-disorder.shtml

Check out Antisocial Personality Disorder if you can gain access to the DSM IV through that government site. Unfortunately, I can't upload what I have from my book due to copyright purposes. It should be under Cluster B Personality Disorders.

Been reading some rumors that we are paying for Arias family housing etc... Absolutely untrue. I have never met the Arias family, and neither I -- nor my production company -- has paid or promised them anything. Robin and I are praying for the Alexander family.

Impossible not to read that in his dumb, awe shucks, good ole boy Texas voice.
(And I'm from Texas.)

I'm not sure the proper thread for this. But I've been doing a lot of research and documenting behind the computer stuff, TA's "how did you get that info"... etc. So here goes:

Truly hope the rebuttal list DOES include Robert Brown (computer forensics, Mesa PD). Unconfirmed, I think.

In JA's interrogation tapes, she indicates her external hard drive “just quit” (prior to the murder); no money to repair.

Video 14; Unedited Police Interrogation Videos of Jodi; Transcript by G&AMom (Thank you!!) post #1008

“Jodi: Yes, we had sex a couple of times. Once in his bedroom, one downstairs in his office and he . . . . He was looking at some pictures that I brought for him but he has a virus on his computer so when he clicked the Start menu on Windows XP or Windows 2000 or whatever, and you have, like, My Pictures, My Music, My Computer, you can usually click on My Computer and then go into the disc drive and open that. He clicked the window and that My Pictures, My Music, none of that would come up, so he had some kind of virus he was dealing with. His screen saver was just a bunch of bugs eating up the screen and he said it that is from the virus, too. I said, that’s a cute screen saver, and he said, yeah, it’s my stupid virus. For some reason that was frustrating for both of us because we couldn’t look at the pictures, which were from a lot of our church history trips which are on my other external drive which I haven’t been able to access for a long time, since after Christmas because it just quit and I just haven’t had the money to spend to get all that stuff back.”
“Flores: So you guys worked with that for a while or . . . ?
Jodi: Yeah, we had three discs, I think.”

I believe this incident later turned into the ‘JA threw the “scratched” disc, it hit me in the head, and he bent me over in anger.’

There is probably a little truth in this. In the May/June 2008 period this “bug eating screen” virus was rampant. It was actually a “Trojan,” sitting on a computer as a backdoor to access:
http://www.pcthreat.com/parasitebyid-6869en.html

“Some users can get this type of infection from installing fake video codec’s (such as Flash Activex Object Error, Video ActiveX Object, Video Activex Object Error) which could help to display video. These codec’s actually install Trojans (like Trojan Zlob) onto a user's computer. In this way, they open a backdoor for all kinds of malware, spyware and even viruses to gain access to the user's PC.”

From Calls for Justice: http://callsforjustice.wordpress.com/2013/01/31/jodi-arias-murder-trial-day-thirteen/
Exhibit 419 – Encase report of the Internet history. Objection to it being introduced; I hear the word hearsay and the lawyers approach. It is a limited number of pages. The report is potentially longer than 1000 pages. The objection is overruled and the report is admitted. There was also an external drive that was initially broken. He got it in October 2012 with a bag of parts. He received a mirror image the following month. Due to the damage, he had to do a lot of extra work to retrieve information. Not all sectors were recoverable. Some of the information was photos. He can’t always get the dates they were taken for all of them.

This external drive (and the pix on it) were at the center of pre-trial evidentiary hearings. This article was originally posted in Nov 20, 2012. The DT has repeatedly complained about access to the hard drive
http://www.azcentral.com/community/...-postpones-arias-trial-over-2008-killing.html

Okay. My point. Or points (all IMO):
1) JA installed spyware on TA’s computer, by way of a file or via direct infection before she moved to Yreka
2) TA’s “name the person who told you this” (late May, a week before his death) rant was a result of realizing she had access to his computer, emails, personal/banking communications (the Trojan was beginning to make itself apparent)
3) TA’s anger (and I think this is true) as they ‘tried to view pictures’ was a result of his pushing JA’s face into the truth of the infection: he’s proving he knows his computer is infected and that she spied on him
4) On the other hand, there’s this: How did they access and successfully view videos at 4 am … only to find a ‘screen eating’ virus at --- what? – noonish?
5) Also: JA’s external drive didn’t “just quit” … it was purposefully busted into pieces. Why?

I hope JM addresses these questions during rebuttal

A stop on her way maybe, but Travis did not guilt her. I'll drop by and drop off these car payments, cd of photos while on my way to visit friends, and she had her foot in the door and she wouldn't shut up or leave. From that point on Travis was a hostage of Jodi's.
The sex photos are disturbing, the shower ones even more so. Someone posted about the poses in Psycho and Travis's, and they are eerily similar. The thoughts of maybe she'll just go if I do this and at some point he saw the gun.

If she in fact did bring the CD's from home to show Travis, it goes to premeditation. Personally, I don't believe there were any CD's, scratched or otherwise.

The fact is, is that if ALV had the confidence in her findings that she claimed to have on direct, she could and would shut Juan down by returning to the evidence. She wouldn't be full of fear about "where he's going," she wouldn't need to prevaricate or dissemble. She has to do these things because she knows that at the foundation of her testimony is a giant pile of manure.

It really was quite pathetic. She sat there and when asked a question that required a "detailed" answer, "What did JA say negative about herself in her journal?" she looked like the proverbial deer in the headlight. She is so uninformed about who was abused by who, who stalked who and who exactly is the VICTIM. She's another casualty of Jodi and her evilness. ALV's world is never going to be the same, at least the professional part of her world. Garbage in Garbage out. Jodi is a landfill!

IMO there is no way she leaves only to sneak back in...she stole a gun, dyed her hair, rented a car for $223, borwed gas cans...spent $100 on gas and turned off her cell phone.

She wouldn't leave. She's a "photographer" always documenting trips, his chicken dance etc. so asks him to pose for a few quick "Calvin Klein shower pics!" before she leaves. He agrees ad spends 11 minutes obviously posing while she doesn't even care how the pics look...she has him wet, naked, exposed and enclosed on three sides...she gets her weapon ready then stabs him in the chest.

First, she was always sneaking into his home and peeking through his windows. And second, Jodi made Travis believe that she was leaving and then snuck back in and surprised him in while he was in the shower.

Wish I could talk to Darryl's ex. She must've met Jodi. It's common for mothers to have concerns about who their children will be exposed to, under custody arrangement, at dad's house. Can they trust this person with their child? It's actually quite frightening, in this case, and bet his son's mother had a fit when she found out Jodi had committed such a horrific crime.

IIRC, DB said that JA was never ever left alone with his son. I thought that was so odd. How do you live with a woman for 4 yrs, and never leave her alone with your kid?

I wonder what was up with that. It seems like she was pretty quick at walking away from a child who was in her life for so long. I would have been very attached. Seems like she had no problem cutting that tie.

Probably by reading his emails that she hacked into...

Oh, I think you are right on the money there. I don't think he knew she was coming, and she was able to surprise him by spying on him in that way -- some are suggesting possible tracking with the cellphone as well, but the email makes PERFECT sense. One post I read was suggesting that she probably got in by doing the "forgot password" thing at his mail carrier, then guessing his security question -- and if he chose something like "your pet's name," "your mom's maiden name," etc., she would be able to get in. Couldn't have been too tough for a determined special person like Ms. Arias.

Obviously...who the eff started that bs ...??? I was trying like hell to get those rumors ignored last night....there is no way Phil would sacrafice is failing career by siding with JA.

Effin trolls....give them an inch and a dictionary, and they will take a mile...

Moo.

See you on Monday. I'm going on time out.

Here's a link to JA's journal entry "written" on May 22. Contains some info related to the missing cell phone and its recordings. I read my hubby the first few lines and he said "Oh, she went back and wrote that after the murder. I don't need to hear anymore."

I wasn't sure if this had been posted. I had not seen it. If this is not the proper place to post this link, please, mods, remove and forgive. Thanks! :)

I doubt she wrote much of anything in the month of May, but if she did, her writings would be explosive as I believe she was consumed by anger at that point. This entry was meant for others' eyes, IMHO. No way did she write this before she murdered him. Funny how one of the first things she wanted to know when she attended Travis' memorial was who Mimi was. She needed to know who her competition was...even after brutally killing Travis. IMO, she needed to know she was still "better" than anyone else.

Aww....well thank you but all I am is a Certified Behavioral Health Tech....not a professional. I don't get to do the heavy duty therupeutic stuff (i think I spelled that wrong!) that a licensed professional does...but I do work closely with them and the kids (or adults....depends on where I am working that day) with running groups and "therepeutic listening and discussions" (counseling is only done by a professional).

Oh, that's all you are? Please. You cannot be serious. Your job is important and it has got to take a huge heart and a lot of commitment.

I may be in the minority here when it comes to Mama Arias.

First, let me preface by saying, I do not like the laughing, giggling, etc we see her doing in court. I don't like her trying to see stuff to the Enquirer. But part of me wants to believe she is doing that because now everyone knows how off Jodi is and part of her is happy, maybe not he right word, that Jodi is going to finally pay for what she did and all the pain she caused her parents.

I asked my Mom if she would support me if I had done this. She told me, first there would be no trial because I would take you out myself. Gotta love Mom :) But she also said, as a parent, no matter how horrific the situation, that is your child. Whether her support is for Jodi or for to see justice is served for what she did to Travis, who knows.

I just don't think any of us could honestly say what we would do in her situation. I don't see any shady behavior on Mama's part in the interrogation tapes. I think her feelings were honest. Many are asking why nobody got Jodi help. If Jodi got wind of anybody trying to control her and get her help, she would have bailed. Since she left home at 18 and she didn't play by the rules, I really cannot blame her parents. She is a grown adult.

Jodi is an evil, cold blooded killer and deserves, in my opinion, the DP for what she did. She alone carried out the murder. The only person who should be put on trial or blamed for anything is Jodi herself.

Just trying to maybe see Mama Arias' side of everything.

P.S. my opinion did go down when I found out Dr Phil has been footing the bill for Mama and Auntie

I had a feeling that SA was sitting in the courtroom every day less for support for her daughter and more as a benefit for herself. I thought she was keeping those notes for a book she planned on writing. Finding out she was paid for those notes in no surprise to me. Personally, I think she is glad her daughter is in jail and prays she never gets out. As I've said before, JA has tasted blood now and she likes it. If she had her druthers then Travis would not be her only victim.

Someone should ask him why one of his producers, formally an HLN producer, has visited the defendant in jail three times this year.

Please pm me proof they actually *talked to each other*....producer maybe just kept showing up

cannot believe he would risk his reputation.

You know I love you TB...but this is hinky.

I still have to wonder, how can they afford to live away from home for so long? It may not be any of my business, but I'm still curious.
