She told Inside Edition she feels bad for leaving Travis behind for 2 people to SLAUGHTER. Noone who kills in self defense would ever use the word SLAUGHTER.

Plus, she was smiling when she said SLAUGHTER on Inside Edition

When she's showing us how ridiculous she thinks a statement is, she waves her arms around so much I sometimes think she's going to take flight.

I have a very poor opinion of JW as an attorney first, and then as a person also, for even taking this case and saying the things she has.

You are soooo right. Once saw a psych for depression who had MANY years' experience.. he suggested that I (and I do NOT mean to offend anyone here) should pray more and get closer to God, offered a book I could buy to read. Never went back...

That happened to me too. I left with a PFFT kind of feeling and a what a waste of dollars that was.

  • #784
In my case, I've long overcome the breaking point. It's now more wanting a definitive understanding of what exactly happened to me.

So you remember something "not right" happening to you in your past or were told after the fact something you went through?
The one thing shock therapy does is it can erase past memory some what and re-adjust your chemical balance if you are low or high on something unlike any med can do.

  • #785
If the ring WAS an engagement ring, I can just imagine JA wearing it and going around telling people she was engaged to Travis.
I've wondered if she has a "special" place where she has hidden any number of things.. not a storage unit.. someplace else.

The first thing I thought of when hearing of the ring was Jodi's Da saying in his interview with Detective Flores : "she was going to marry the guy"...

Jodi rented a car in Redding. The owner of the rental agency said she had blonde hair at the time she rented tue car.

Thanks! I was about to post that.

Oh I remember everything that happened to me. Every excruciating moment. Others in my family however have always brushed it off or have given me the "get over it" speech. I'm now and have been since about 1998, divorced myself from my family.

I hope it's o. k. if I say this - if not, please delete - but I think there's a good possibility that she did not do 44 hours of interview time with JA. Moo.

Very possible given the way JW beat the point to death in her cross. "So, in your twelve hours of interview you didn't find that", "so, you never went back and clarified that after your twelve hours of interviewing Jodi". And on, and on, and on.

The 44 hours ALV spent with JA seemed to be a huge win in the DT's mind, like they thought it gave ALV more credibility.

IMO, the next victims of Jodi were probably Sky/Chris Hughes. That's what the 9mm was for.

The DT has brought them up numerous times because their client wants them to.

I think that one of TA's former roommates and Marie Hall were high on her hit list.

JA told Detective Flores right out of the chute that one of TA's former roommates should be the prime suspect.

All JA had to do was to forge another letter and help that roommate, whom I shall not name, commit suicide 'involuntarily'.

One problem: Travis wouldn't stay in that shower and die like she had carefully planned his murder before leaving Yreka.

There was evidence aplenty and it all pointed to Jodi Ann Arias.

No additional murders would erase it.

ACT V.

SCENE I. Dunsinane. A Room in the Castle.

[Enter a Doctor of Physic and a Waiting-Gentlewoman.]

DOCTOR.
I have two nights watched with you, but can perceive no
truth in your report. When was it she last walked?

GENTLEWOMAN.
Since his majesty went into the field, I have seen her
rise from her bed, throw her nightgown upon her, unlock her
closet, take forth paper, fold it, write upon it, read it,

afterwards seal it, and again return to bed; yet all this
while in a most fast sleep.

DOCTOR.
A great perturbation in nature,--to receive at once the
benefit of sleep, and do the effects of watching-- In this
slumbery agitation, besides her walking and other actual
performances, what, at any time, have you heard her say?

GENTLEWOMAN.
That, sir, which I will not report after her.

DOCTOR.
You may to me; and 'tis most meet you should.

GENTLEWOMAN.
Neither to you nor any one; having no witness to confirm my
speech. Lo you, here she comes!

[Enter Jodi Macbeth, with a taper.]

This is her very guise; and, upon my life, fast asleep. Observe
her; stand close.

DOCTOR.
How came she by that light?

GENTLEWOMAN.
Why, it stood by her: she has light by her continually; 'tis her
command.

DOCTOR.
You see, her eyes are open.

GENTLEWOMAN.
Ay, but their sense is shut.

DOCTOR.
What is it she does now? Look how she rubs her hands.

GENTLEWOMAN.
It is an accustomed action with her, to seem thus washing her
hands: I have known her continue in this a quarter of an hour.

JODI MACBETH.
Yet here's a spot.

DOCTOR.
Hark, she speaks: I will set down what comes from her, to
satisfy my remembrance the more strongly.

JODI MACBETH.
Out, damned spot! out, I say!-- One; two; why, then 'tis
time to do't ;--Hell is murky!--Fie, my lord, fie! a soldier,
and afeard? What need we fear who knows it, when none can call
our power to account?--Yet who would have thought Travis to
have had so much blood in him?

DOCTOR.
Do you mark that?

JODI MACBETH.
The most eligible PPL bachelor would not have me to wife;
where is she now?--What, will these hands ne'er be clean?
No more o' that, my lord, no more o' that:
you mar all with this starting.

DOCTOR.
Go to, go to; you have known what you should not.

GENTLEWOMAN.
She has spoke what she should not, I am sure of that:
heaven knows what she has known.

JODI MACBETH.
Here's the smell of the blood still: all the perfumes
of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand. Oh, oh, oh!

DOCTOR.
What a sigh is there! The heart is sorely charged.

GENTLEWOMAN.
I would not have such a heart in my bosom for the
dignity of the whole body.

DOCTOR.
Well, well, well,--

GENTLEWOMAN.
Pray God it be, sir.

DOCTOR.
This disease is beyond my practice: yet I have known those
which have walked in their sleep who have died holily in
their beds.

JODI MACBETH.
Wash your hands, put on your nightgown; look not so
pale:--I tell you yet again, Travis is buried; he cannot come
out on's grave.

DOCTOR.
Even so?

JODI MACBETH.
To bed, to bed; there's knocking at the gate: come, come, come,
come, give me your hand: what's done cannot be undone:
to bed, to bed, to bed.

[Exit.]

DOCTOR.
Foul tweetings are issued abroad: unnatural deeds
Do breed unnatural troubles: infected minds
To their Twitter followers will discharge their secrets.
More needs she the divine than the physician.--
God, God, forgive us all!--Look after her;
See that she receives in her body and soul
that recompense which doth answer justice,
And still keep eyes upon her:--so, good-night:
His mind she has hated, and blinded his sight:
I think, and the jury shall speak.

GENTLEWOMAN.
Good-night, good doctor.

[Exeunt.]

I am not sure what to believe. With the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 question, it almost feels like there is one juror who is making fun just to lighten the day or see what crazy thing someone is going to say next.

But honestly, IMHO, the bears/tigers question didn't seem to be a thumbs up for the DT. kwim?

K

I thought that was the funniest thing I ever heard. I'll never forget I was driving when I heard it and I had to pull over I was laughing so hard.
But, looking back over JA's time on the stand I saw where she was testifying (I don't remember if it was Nurmi or JM) and she talked about Travis calling her a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and I know the questions were taken in order and it very well could have been a juror who heard her say that and it a serious question. The juror may have sincerely wanted to know how JA took being called that.

  • #792
And here I am in the middle of the two opinions, wondering why didn't JM ask Dr. D to expand on the 7 out of 10 elevations.

Even on the CA case, I felt the prosecutor had much more and just believed the jury would find her guilty and sentence her to death. I know the jury was wrong and all that. But still.

What stops the prosecutor from putting everything out there for the jury to see? I really believe they should have do that. Was it JM's decision or is it the judge? In any case, I don't think we have seen all the evidence.
You are right.. we have not seen all. A lot has been deemed "to prejudicial" to the defendant.. and I bet some of Dr. DeMarte's findings were too.

Rewatching Darryl's testimony.

When Nurmi is questioning about the mortgage, DB says it was $1700 to 1800 a month.
Split down he middle? Yes, we shared expenses.

Was it a strain to pay? No.

Had left Ventana and looking for work in Palm Desert. Jodi was at Cali Pizza Kitchen in Monterey.

DB got a job in 2.5 months and was able to support his share.

JA became a diff person, less responsible, Fall 2006. [supporting what Dr. D said about morphing herself to bf]

Mortgage amt? Same; JA did continue paying mortgage into Fall 2006, unable to do so after; falling into debt, stopped paying household bills. Not as rationale, magical thinking, believe it will become true.

[BTW, IMO those fingers are the ones in that d*ck pic JA claims was from Travis.]

[DB talks a lot like Jodi. In December 2006 we 'parted'. Nurmi: Does that mean you broke up? I think JA got a lot of her verbal quirks from Darryl.]

House foreclosed in Feb 2007. [Nice Jodi. Leave DB holding the bag.]

Now Juan.

Here he starts getting really squirrelly. Acting like he can't remember if she called him in May 2008. Then whispers 'yes' that she said she was going to Mesa.

Then he turns right around and says she never said she was going to Mesa.

LIAR!

He reads the depo he gave to the defense, and still denies what he said before.

He denies she called him between 9 and 10 on June 3rd 2008 after she had left after breakfast.

Does not recall her returning. Now he recalls her giving him the remote control!

Such a liar. Why would he lie for her? IMO, he knows a lot more than he is admitting to.

---------Back to beginning of relationship--------

$360,000 purchase price of home in Palm Desert, May 2005

Juan: Mortgage was actually $2,800/mo. DB: It could have been, yes. [So why did you say $1,700 to 1,800 when Nurmi asked?]

So split, each one would pay $1,400, correct? DB: Correct.

In May 2006, JA got implants. DB now can't recall anything he said in depo.

Interesting the young Mormon men were coming over in May/Jun 2006. [But she doesn't know TA yet, right? Didn't she meet him in Sep?]

Fall 2006 - Feb 2007 DB had to pay all Palm Desert bills.

----------Nurmi redirect--------------------

DB again denies she ever said Mesa.

BBM

Now that would explain her relative ease with flying here, there and everywhere, driving tens of thousands of miles on a whim (one time with premeditated murder planned), renting cars, etc. Have often wondered, how on earth did she afford all of that working part time minimum wage??

You know, that's a really good question.

I have thought about this ring since Dr. DeMarte brought it up. I did not follow this case until it came to trial so the ring thing made no sense to me. However, I recalled reading something about a ring. In Detective Flores' report there is a summary of an interview with Enrique (roomate to Travis) who mentioned that Travis' CTR ring and watch were located on a counter in the kitchen. He noticed those items because he indicated he never saw Travis go anywhere without them. This caught my attention because I felt as though that was a bizarre place for a fella to leave his ring and watch unless perhaps they were either cleaning or cooking. I do not know what a CTR ring is, and while HLN wants to say it was an engagement ring, they also show a picture of Travis with an arrow pointing to a ring on his right hand. That ring is certainly not an engagement ring. But I am still puzzling over this ring thing.

The ring Travis displays in the photo is a PPL ring. A CTR ring is an LDS thing. Choose the right.

I don't see logically how real things attributed to JA are too prejudicial. It's like saying to a jury, we want you to determine guilt or innocence but we're going to keep you from knowing what you need to know to do so. You jurors cannot know the facts but everyone else on the planet can.

Moot point, but what car registration? Jodi did not own a car to register.

She had owned a car, though, and the registration could still be in her wallet along with all the other forgotten stuff, like we all do (or at least I do!).

But you reminded me of one of the rather odd things JA said to Det. Flores during his interrogation of her:

Jodi: They got my driver’s license. It has a P.O. Box on it. And they got my registration from my purse, which was the purse I was using at the time, which has my parent’s address on it.

I still can't figure out why she said that part I bolded above. What other purse would she have had with her but the one she was using at the time? Maybe to explain why her registration wasn't in the purse she had when they arrested her? I find it a constant struggle to figure out why she says what she says.

Welcome!

I think she did because on cross, Juanderful went through her finances for the trip and based on the money in her accounts and how much she withdrew and how much she spent, she wouldn't have had much money left to continue her trip.

But Travis always had money and since she's stolen from him in the past and murdered him, seems she wouldn't be above taking money from his wallet.

But that was seriously my opinion and I should have qualified that statement.

Sorry everyone. :)

If my memory serves me correctly, somewhere (NG I think) one of his roommates mentioned he had given TA his portion of rent .. but mortgage payment was never made nor was money found.

I have a very poor opinion of JW as an attorney first, and then as a person also, for even taking this case and saying the things she has.

Me, too.

There are many reasons why people commit crimes. Sometimes I have had empathy for (ok, Les Misérables notwithstanding, lol) a few criminals who've explained why they felt it was necessary to do XYZ. I don't agree but I get why it was done or at least understand the reasoning behind it. Again, I don't condone it.

Having said that, while I understand and accept everyone's right to a defense, there is no reason on God's green earth for sexual assault and child molestation. Sure, some are public defenders and they're assigned the cases but JW advertises on her website that she's tried and won serious felony charges that include sexual assault and child molestation.

I don't respect her and my contempt for her runneth over.

Flame away.

JA is extreme but I have to say I have acquaintances that make me feel like they are stalking. People who can't take a hint no matter how big the hint is and just won't leave me alone. People who act completely helpless and think I exist to be their know everything do everything for them.
Ah you so right about that.. more weird is no calls when all is well and happy for them. when they feel like they in trouble they remeber to call and pour all their pain onto you... grrr remember never tell them what to do.I learned to ask them what they think its best to do for themselfs.. I remember a few times the person saying. "oh you think I should do that" and I said no no no I said do what you think is best for you and yours. got scared to death they will do something and blame it on me if it goes wrong.
