weekend discussion: discuss the trial here #155

Long story short - I recently went on a skiing trip and couldn't get a return flight from Reno to Atlanta - but I could get out of Salt Lake. Grabbed a rental car and drive with my 15 year old daughter in order to get to SLC in time for the flight.

For some reason, I thought this was the Arias route (I know, I was wrong) and told my daughter this was the route that she took after killing Travis. (I never told daughter I was wrong because a-should wouldn't know any better anyway, and b-I'm her mother, therefore never wrong ;)

Daughter was pretty wigged out thinking about it, and so was I. My daughter is not sheltered, and is old enough to learn how this world works. We routinely watch trial coverage and trash-talk Arias, and it opens up all kinds of conversation between us! Namely, anal sex is not only painful - but it's STILL sex, so don't let a dude talk you into it.

If your kids are old enough, I encourage you to also let them watch. Our kids need to know that there is evil and crazy in the world, and that guys will use you for just sex if you let them. In addition, gossiping is a great way for gals to bond - especially mothers and daughters. We can teach a lot of life lessons by talking smack about others (as long as its deserved).

BBM: :giggle:

I have 4 sons. Boys don't use toilet paper. Trust me. I did their laundry. :maddening:

BBM That's not true- my son has to have baby wipes to

wipe

Thanks for this !

ALright...what a trooper. I'll get a pic of the crutches for you all. The Wild Crutches...maybe Juan Martinez will sign them!

Good idea, but don't tell Nurmi or there'll be yet another Motion for Mistrial!

Get vvell soon Mr. Salmon!

Is there any info on JA's purchase of the glock....where/ when she bought it, background check, price, etc.? She was definitely planning to go on the run when she was arrested. My guess is she planned to kill anyone who got in her way...friends/relatives of Travis, law enforcement, etc. Maybe she and MM were planning to become fugitives from justice. Would love to hear the real story from MM!

Idk anything about the details of the gun Colt46. Maybe someone here (much smarter than I) does. All I know is that she was not going to off herself as she said. =D

Flores warned Jodi about traveling alone at night, I cannot recall what she said--before she finally said something about buying the new gun. She probably got a liking after firing that gun into the head of Travis.

I always think Jodi traveled with her knives, how else would she slash all those tires? Or travel from CA at 11pm after work to Mesa, AZ to check up on Travis and back to work again for next day shift? That was Stabby's protection. (per co-worker calling NG)

Could have been DB's son!

I thought it was Travis. uploadfromtaptalk1366571020163.jpg

Maybe they'll end up in the elevator at the same time one day. Suspiciously strategized by yours truly. Unless of course cameras are in the elevator (I sure hope not as ...well, nevermind).

@WildAboutTrial Any truth to the rumor that Wild was attempting to reenact the Jodi Arias interrogation room headstand?

Interrupting the flow with an OT moment of "awwww".

Him: Ok,thanks. I have donuts and milk for after.

In some ways you just never grow up with your siblings, ya know?

Yes, they just titled differently then.

Papal Inquisition, Spanish Inquisition, etc. Witchcraft accusations and heresy denouncements had crossover to behavior based diagnoses. Accounts suggest psychological conditions would be classified as heresy and witchcraft. Covered a wide range of behaviors.

So yes, although individual Offices of the Inquisition may have kept their own lists or descriptions and not have distributed them to other offices.

You said that already.

I am been on this forum for some time and I have read every possible scenario regarding how Arias murdered Travis, why she did it, the 20 different background stories..Blah, Blah, Blah. ...........................

snipped for space.

I am on board with you and totally agree with your theories.

I do believe the gun shot came first. I also believe like you, she went to Mesa with an ultimatum.

I too don't understand how a 5'6" 125lb woman was able to control a 5'9" 200lb man who also, worked out! This is where I consider she might've had help at this juncture. Just not sure and I know it's not a popular theory but it's certainly possible.

We also have to acknowledge, we don't know everything. Some areas are being kept quiet so perhaps the State feels she had help too? Again, we really don't know what they know or at minimum, theorize.

I can't help but think Darryl, Matt and Gus know more than what was told. Here again, they might be in Juan's back pocket to seal-the-deal, in rebuttal?

Does anyone know whether the interrogation tapes of Matt McCartney/Flores were made public? Will they ever be or is that confidential?

I have a feeling, Juan-the-man might pull out the nail-in-the-coffin witness rebuttal with Matt. I keep reading that for immunity, he admitted to forging those pedophile letters that Arias want's us to believe were authored by Travis which was the lamest most far-fetched story she could've drummed up.

I think everything she accused Travis of....she herself was guilty of. Right down to taking it in her back-door!!! I think she pretended or even perhaps actually LIKED it but turned it all around. As long as she was offering that option, Travis probably felt it wasn't going too much against his Mormon beliefs and that was...vaginal sex. Who knows.

I think she played the innocent school girl (lollipops, pigtails and Brazilian wax) while engaging in sex with Travis. Hence the pedophile notion!

There's so much more that it literally exhausts me to think/type it all out.

. I know how this is as our 16 yr. old was failing badly at school, it was our responsibility to get him help and we did and now he is making Honor Roll, star football player that is getting Division 1 offers from major colleges to play football.

Anyway, I have been wanting to get this off my chest and see what you all thought. Thanks for letting me vent!

BBM:  to you both and your son! =D

I am been on this forum for some time and I have read every possible scenario regarding how Arias murdered Travis, why she did it, the 20 different background stories..Blah, Blah, Blah. What my opinion of the matter is she was a woman that had NO identity, she never matured after age 16-17 when she moved out & began living with Bobby. For that; her lack of maturity, I blame the parents 100%. It is a parents responsibility to make sure their child has the proper care they need whether that is mental or physical health care. AS well as the parents responsibility to discipline their children. Neither of which the parents of Arias did. They allowed her to do whatever she wanted and get away with it rather than to deal with her. For the parents it was easier to just let her go than to treat her, treating her would have taken work, time, expenses etc. I know how this is as our 16 yr. old was failing badly at school, it was our responsibility to get him help and we did and now he is making Honor Roll, star football player that is getting Division 1 offers from major colleges to play football. Had we let him go, he would have flunked out and had far worse problems.

As Arias got older, she remained isolated from her family, thus feeding the disease even more. the only way she could function was to be in relationships with men and assume the role of whatever kind of woman they liked or had previously been with. I agree, there is something up with Darryl, he is hiding something. He knows way more than what he is telling and I can't believe Martinez didn't call him out on the DVD player and the trade for the gas cans. He is definitely hiding something.

As far as Travis knowing Arias was coming to his house on the 4th, I don't believe he knew she was coming. I think she just showed up there and I haven't seen the text messages from the 4th to know whether he actually knew she was indeed coming or not, has anyone else seen them? Also, I think Arias came BACK into the bathroom..I think Travis went upstairs to shower and she was in the Den still on the computer. She then goes upstairs after he is in the shower with HIS camera, leaving the camera bag near the outside of the bedroom doors. She remained in the Den so she could go BACK out to the car to get the gun and the knife. Arias had PLAN A and PLAN B. PLAN A was to seduce Travis into taking her to Cancun, thus the purchases for sunscreen, the bikini wax, the nails being done etc. When Travis would NOT agree to take her, she resorted to PLAN B. Arias KNEW or thought she knew that Travis had found Mimi and was pursuing her, she didn't know though that MIMI wasn't interested in Travis at all, that is why in the interrogation Tapes she states this VERY point. I am just perplexed though as to why Travis din't fight harder for his life, I can only assume that he was indeed shot first and was in so much shock he couldn't fight back. The trajectory of the bullet, the course of events and the fact Arias kept saying in the interviews...'Travis was STILL alive" over and over, makes me think her initial shot didn't do the job as she had planned and that is why she had to resort to using the knife, thus the horrific scene and Arias's complete mash up of the crime scene. She was in a hurry to get out of there because she KNEW the roommates schedule and had to get out of dodge ASAP, resulting in the camera hastily being tossed in the washer and the mess of the crime scene. She didn't have time to clean up like she had planned. that is why she had the bottled in her trunk, she planned for that water to be there for clean up measures. I also think she had a spot preplanned to toss the gun and the knife. If this TRULY was a premeditated crime, then she thought out every step, including where she dumped the weapons. I am trying to figure out through places her and Travis went, or places she mentioned before anywhere near the Hoover Dam she could have dumped them. Anyone remember locations previously mentioned or visited?

Anyway, I have been wanting to get this off my chest and see what you all thought. Thanks for letting me vent!

I just want to say regarding blaming the parents that there were two defense psychologist who appear to have totally missed the boat while evaluating Ms. Arias. So I guess it would be far more difficult to expect parents who probably never took a psychology class in their lives to be able to figure out this was not something she would grow out of. The trial, however, is very informative to parents who will see the same type of traits in their child and maybe will help someone who has time before they move out to seek counseling for their child if it's possible at all to help them. Either case they will know what they are dealing with which might give them some relief such advice as to next time she kicks you call the police. Not sure that is recommended but it could not hurt. jmo

Omygosh Dani..I about died laughing!!! I have 6 sons. What is wrong with them???? lololol...racing stripes all, and their Dad too..ewww. Not their sister..or my 6 grandgirls. Girls rule.:rocker:
jk guys are cool too..
:truce:

Well Jodi told the truth on the stand in one area, she looked at pictures and made up story-timelines. The spider-man underwear pic of young Travis and his Dad ought to prove that, I'll bet she's seen that before. Jodi herself uploaded that Eddie Snell video to you tube where "Eddie" pretends to "body-slam" and "kick" that friend in the video.
Arias is one evil, foul sociopath.

I agree, these photos should be seen!

I am kind of new to this site, and don't know who the mod's are. There are 3 pictures I had never even seen. They are graphic, and quite sad. Thank you for responding!

There isn't court on Monday right? or did I hear that wrong? I just got invested in this 2 weeks ago, so I'm really late in the game. I noticed it popping up on a few gossip sites I read and told myself I wouldn't watch it lol. That held up until insomnia and finals were coming around. I'm forced online to write papers and watch my study guides for clinical's so I end up here reading things besides "how to insert a catheter".

did I mention I really DO NOT WANT to be a BSN? Why oh why did I think this was a good idea? :(

Unless you're joking lol take it from a well season RN.... if you're not into it, make the change NOW. :) It's hard, gut wrenching work in the best venues. To me, the blessings were worth it. For many years. But I burned out as I climbed the ladder.... I miss the patients, but not the grueling lifestyle. I am not one to ever say 'no'. I hope you are just kidding :)

I am working hard to catch up on this thread. Sure glad it is a little slower paced so I can manage that. And I must say, the playful banter is refreshing! It has been a hectic pace trying to stay caught up with all you pros!

Wishing all a happy Sunday! (back to my reading , page 8 now )
