God help us all really. That's the one thing that could ignite a civil war. Bacon. KNow what I mean? :truce:

To make it on topic, I think Jodi Arias will never enjoy the lovely aroma of bacon cooking or taste it's deliciousness ever again in her miserable life. One of many pleasures she loses forever.

I just ordered a fresh hog this week. I'm not a big meat eater but I love fresh ham and bacon! My freezer is stocked!

The thanks button is not enough for this. Thank you.

I will speak from experience. I have two children, one is a very succesful general manager at a well known company, the other is a convicted criminal who has been incarcerated for many years. Many people have criticized my parenting skills over the years and for a long time I took it really badly and felt tremendous guilt. Now I understand that I did what I had to do to help and unfortunately he continued to make bad choices. I work with families of inmates and I see the guilt and sadness from many parents who also did what they thought were the right things. Its a tough road to travel.

My heart goes out to you. It's only natural, or seems to be the case with me, that it's almost reflexive to feel that our children are an extension of us, and that they carry a part of us within themselves. Even in trivial matters, I am sometimes taken aback that my children are not ME. They are independent human beings, with their own beliefs, tenets, character, etc. I have dealt with tremendous guilt after ending a bad marriage. I kept my mouth shut for years, thankfully, and never trashed my ex to our children. Even though I knew staying with him was not the good thing to do, I felt so much guilt for ending the marriage. Now, years later, as I was told they would do, my kids have come to see their own view of the truth and I am being seen not as the one who ended something good, but rather the one who had the courage to stop a bad situation.
As parents we can only do the best we can do. And if any of our kids makes a very bad choice, it kills us to feel that we played a part in it, even if we know deep inside that we did not contribute to what they did.
You have a lot of company in the world. The fact that you feel what you feel tells us that you are a good parent :)

The first time I saw her do that, I had to run to the toilet...I started gagging...disgusting!

You probably were wondering how it could possibly be ok for her to have gum during court and then you realized she had no gum or food and that's when you bolted for the toilet, isn't that right?

OT

How do you order a "fresh hog" is/was it alive when you got it? I'm from the city and have no clue.

And left it? If Boycie could get up there, we'd be in trouble.

The precious princess only eats the crunchy part of the bacon - won't eat the chewy part unless cut into small, bite size pieces.
She will not tear meat with her teeth.
Stupid cat

Did you guys see that WildAboutTrial just broke his ankle? What horrible timing! Being at the trial involves a LOT of walking. :(

Oh noooo....hope Wild is doing ok..

I broke my ankle last Thanksgiving hiking on top of a mountain.

I wonder if JA will draw more and more hourglasses to fill her tiny cell..she won't be selling ant after the verdict and her name is forever forgotten. That's the reason for the feverish crafts pace at her table these days..she will need the snack funds. Love the comments on a certain pro ja site..they think she's a professional photographer and artist..stuck in junior high level drawing class..

Hi EquallyDivided,

I've been trying to send you a small picture of my natural nails. I don't know if it will work. It's my first try attaching to WS. If it doesn't work, I won't try a second time because I don't want to be off-topic for too many posts.

If the pic does does show up, I have used a ridge filler for the verticle lines in my nails. I think that comes with age. Then two coats of ESSIE #229 Delacasy. Of course there is no need to polish if you prefer not to. For me, 'HARD AS HOOF' allows me to choose either way.

Now I must try to catch up on the JA updates. Tuesday can't come soon enough for me.
:seeya:

I appreciate the advice and I'm on it! Going to the store today and will pick it up!! I've seen both, but never sure if its a gimmick or not!

Without any formal renunciation, I think Falsity has left her Mormon religion. In her interrogation with Det. Flores, she dismissed organised religions, saying she acknowledges just the Ten Commandments. The one she mentions is Thou Shall Not Kill. We know she does not observe that either. Why would anyone believe that she would honour her oath to truthfully testify? She said on the stand, "I will tell the truth." That will be a frosty Friday in Hades. In her mind, saving her skin far outweighs any requirement to bear true witness. We know that because we have been exposed to her priorities. Many times over.

:floorlaugh: Had to rescue Older Son who had lost the use of his car. Why, we won't say. I pointed out to him that his smartphone does have a calendar and that he can have reminders of things that come up regularly, like insurance payments. Not that he forgot or anything.

Lol! Mine is always telling me how dumb I look texting with my fingers - supposedly the cool way is with the thumbs! He can master that but not know how to set the alarm clock so he can make it to his meet on time.:maddening::notgood:

Pop the key off and see if there's something underneath. Crumbs or lint can keep it from connecting. The key pops right back on the same way.
