Kadydid, I don't know who murdered Rebecca. However, I do believe she was murdered. I believe that her autopsy report had more indicators for death by strangulation vs hanging. Cyril Wecth also strongly leaned toward the cause of death as murder as opposed to suicide. Also, the police investigation should have included a psychological autopsy as well as an investigation of Max's parents as they had the most motive to murder her. At the very least her death should be reclassified to undetermined though it appears to have been a homicide.
On the other hand I don't know if Max was harmed by someone or not but I tend to believe that he had a freak accident. Max's body is not available for a second autopsy and the first autopsy seems to support Lucas' conclusions. However, Lucas' autopsy on Rebecca is more indicative of death by strangulation vs hanging. That was determined by Cyril Wecth and I agree with his evaluation.
I wonder if Max's accident was a motive for Rebecca's murder. Usually the police look at the victim's close associates for someone with a possible motive. However, the police did not appear to do that in this case. In this case I would tend to put Jonah and Dina at the top of the list of possible suspects. Nina and Adam were there to support their siblings. The media reports didn't tell to much about them or how they felt most especially Adam.
I do believe that Jonah, Dina, Nina and Adam should have been fingerprinted and alibis should have been substantiated with hard evidence. I believe they all should have been given LDT starting with Adam and Nina who put themselves at the scene of the crime. I also believe that corroborating evidence from eye and ear witness in the neighborhood should not have been discounted and rejected as it was.
I believe that the police here did a selective investigation to support a conclusion of suicide and cherry picked evidence, witnesses, and alibis. I blame Gore for this because he was in charge. I also believe that there was a travesty of justice done and that the Zahaus and the public deserve a fair and impartial investigation of Rebecca's apparent violent murder.
Jonah was on the right track when he asked for a review of the police investigation. If that would have been granted then maybe this case would have been put to rest. I hope KH investigates both cases. The families and the public deserve answers.
