WHO is searching for Kyron?

Do we know though, what time TH actually left the school? Could it have been earlier than 8:45? Did someone see the two of them together at 8:45? Or was it earlier?

Also, we know there is a witness at FM#2 who saw her there. but not at FM#1 that I recall. Do we know for certain that there are surveillance videos in the FM parking lots, or does LE know where she parked, because that's where she told them she parked? Anyone could have gotten a receipt from the FM store for her and or she could have picked one out of the trash that suited her needs. Just thinkin.

Which FM was the starbucks gal from? #1 or #2? thanks.

Yes we know that Fred Myers supplied LE with the tapes from inside and outside the stores from both locations.

I presume for the receipt to be of any use it would have to be a purchase made with a debit or credit card, otherwise it's of little use unless the internal video shows her checking out.

LE says her movements over this period are verified, I don't think if there were any doubt they would say this.

Which leaves the accomplice theory or she just didn't do it.

Yes she could have left earlier but that would still leave Kyron in the school as he didn't go missing until around 9am.

Terri was not the last person to see him and she was still where she purported to be at those critical times.

This is why LE wanted to know if anyone in these locations saw another person in the car with her.

This is all I recall on Fred Myers. Is there another article I'm not thinking of?

TIA

Managers of the Fred Meyer store in Hillsboro and the Albertsons on Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy. have confirmed they've submitted surveillance video and are cooperating with detectives.

Are they searching anywhere or going to do any more ground searches and with cadaver dogs anytime soon and where?

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone here has read anything about Forest Park being searched? The northern part of it lies between Springville Rd on the South and Newberry Rd on the North and lies East of Skyline Rd. I'd love to know especially if any locals have seen any activity up there in the last few days.

The North part of Forest Park is called Linnton Park and actually Newberry Rd goes thru this forest land in 2 places. I'm thinking that would be a place perp's would use for a burial site. Close in to civilization and not that far away. Yes, possibly trekking thru the woods if there are no logging or dirt roads cut in. But that would seem like a safe bet to me if I were a perp, as who in their right mind would think of someone burying a body in a virgin forest {thick underbrush and lots of up and down areas?.

There are lots of fire lanes throughout Forest Park, too. Perhaps locals will know if those fire lanes are accessible to the public? (i.e., not blocked by locked gates, for instance)

ETA: Here is a really terrific map of Forest Park - but it comes with a warning. It is a really HUGE pdf file, with several layers, and can take a couple of minutes to load. However, if you are interested:

Do you know of any hunting stands/blinds/that sort of thing that are in that area where the fire breaks are? It's hard to tell from the mapping because it comes up about a yr old for me- but they usually have a variety of side trails right off of them.

Forest Park is inside the urban boundary.. no hunting. Heck, they are bickering over whether or not to let mountain bikers use it.

I know no hunting is allowed in that area, but do people illegally hunt? What I meant was- do you know of any evidence of hunting or camping in the area? Even though it's not allowed?

As a grandmother,if I were told I could not/ should not venture out to find my grandchild if missing...I'd have to say "Sorry Dude Ain't Gonna Happen".."Meet me at the doughnut shop if you are truely interested in finding this young child"....if I had to go hire my own PI,Ex LE,Security Guards,lawyer... whomever...I will not sit on the porch...no way,no how....it is just not going to happen for me...jmo

I agree. I would be searching day and night in the woods - with a map detailing places I searched. That would be my life's mission to find my child or any little scrap I could find that would lead me closer to my child. You would have to cuff me and/or put me in a straight jacket to keep me away from scouring every square inch of that area for SOMETHING/ANYTHING. I don't think I could be the kind to "sit and wait" for LE to do their jobs, especially after 3 months have gone by...uh uh...not me. I would have to know for sure that everything was checked. My next step would be knocking on TH's door and giving her a few choice words to scare the truth out of her. LOL call me out of control or old fashioned, but when it comes to your child, you are capable of doing anything for them to get them back or keep them safe.

Would you be looking for a live child? Remember Kaine and Desiree insist they believe Kyron is still alive.

Not gun hunting, no. I suppose anything is possible with bow hunting, but one could drive an equal distance west and be in legal hunting areas.
There have been cases of homeless people living in Forest Park (which is huge) but generally closer to transportation access, and town (IE further south than this area).

Very true. I guess at this point in time with him being gone for 3 months, I would be looking for anything that would help me find my child. If that means searching the woods for bat phones or evidence, or if that means finding clothes or finding him. But I don't think I would be able to stop worrying about the "what ifs" until I knew every inch of the area was searched. I just have a real hard time believing the possible "alive" theories - after all this time. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely would love to be wrong about this and hear that he's found tonight alive and well, but so far, none of the "alive" theories seem plausible to me.
This whole thing just doesn't make sense to me at all. The motive is not logical and the investigation has been extremely frustrating with no information.

I don't have the info that the parents have from LE, but unless it was concrete evidence that led me to believe he was still alive (which in that case, then where is he??) then I don't think I would rule out any possibility. Look at Elizabeth Smart for instance, she was just up the hill from her home for how long? Look at Caylee Anthony, her body was found in her neighborhood. I don't have any proof that he's alive or not alive...but I certainly wouldn't be able to sit back and wait, I would be personally checking into everything I possibly could...especially areas close to where they lived.

Sorry, done rambling... :banghead:

But here's my point, and in advance, no bashing intended........but if the parents have good information from LE that Kyron is alive, then why are they gathering funds to conduct searches?

I don't know debs, I'm with you on this.
I was replying as to why the parent's aren't out searching, if they truly believe he is alive. I would think if a search is called at this point, it won't be for a live Kyron, unless it's a search of a residence, or building, and I don't see how that would need much from a search fund.

debs - No offense taken, I'm always open to hearing feedback. Everyone has a different opinion on here and it is always nice to hear someone else's logic and viewpoint.

Jo in Calif - I just wonder what actual evidence they have to believe he's alive...or are they just going on hope, if that's the case then he could be deceased right in the very woods they live in and they would never find him because they won't ever spend the time looking.

I'm going back and forth between trying to see it from a parents persepective (and being sensitive to the fact that its someone's child) and also trying to see it from an outsiders perspective (which is obviously less emotionally invested).

LL, I wish we knew if the parents have info that we aren't privy to, or if they are just holding on to hope. I don't know if I myself would be able to look for my child, if I thought they were deceased,. It's really a hard call.

D&K wouldn't be searching houses...that would be when a swat team comes in, if some info developed.

The only reason they would be searching any outisde areas that I can think of is if they did not believe LE searched well enough. Otherwise, where on earth to start?

I don't think it would be a slight to LE to search where they've already searched, or implying they didn't feel SAR searched well enough. In that terrain ??? IIRC, they made numerous comments about the difficulty of the area being searched, that he could have been within a few feet of the searchers and not seen. Perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad idea to search again with the change in seasons; I'd expect there would be less foliage, or at least less dense than in the spring and summer.

IIRC, Staton said in at least one presser they have searched some places as many as four times. I don't know where they are though.

I think one of the reasons Desiree and Kaine aren't physically searching for Kyron is that they believe he is alive and hidden somewhere. They don't believe his body is somewhere in the brush and I don't think they have any desire to look for his body. Finding it would be their worst nightmare and I don't think they are ready to accept the fact that he might not be alive.
