I know you are trying to put this on Patsy, suggesting she was the recipient of such parenting, yet she ,as a cancer patient ,would have been more likely to have parented in this manner, therefore wouldn't it have been Jonbenet who would fall under your classification? Obviously by all of the characterizations supplied by teachers and friends ,Jonbenet was a very social and secure little girl. Believing in God is a very mentally healthy position, it's good to have faith and trust, it takes the pressure off of one's self in all aspects of life IMO

I suppose as manic depressives have taken on bi-polar the shutdown kids have taken this new label?( this is what was being asked earlier, the sensorially deprived kids) There are few things I hate more about this last decade than " harassment" turning into hair'esmint...I have to deal with change!

I'm not suggesting Patsy or JonBenet had any kind of attachment disorder, and I added the word syndrome. I don't know If the condition is recognized as a "syndrome". The effect on an infant of having little or no recognition through visual/auditory/tactile means is profound.

I am saying Nedra was a narcissist and Patsy shows signs of borderline disorder and narcissism. A narcissist mother will "invent" an identity for her children in favor of the child's natural inherent identity. A compliant child will attempt to act the way the mother wants them to, assuming that to be their natural temperament and behavior. This can cause a split or separation betweeen the child's instincts and their social persona. In other words, they learn to "act" instead of developing a personality based instinct. This is well described in books on borderline personality disorder.

In the adult, when this social persona becomes ineffective, when the act doesn't work, the person has to rely on an underdeveloped ego. That condition is similar to childhood with all the lack of moral development that childhood expresses. The person's identity is blurred or lost and they exhibit emotional impulsivity and general inhibition of mediation (decision difficulty).

Both Patsy and Pam show the effects of having a narcissist mother. JonBenet didn't live long enough to develop her own personality, or show the effects of battling a mother over the identity issue. Although there are anecdotes about that very subject in this case.

I sent you private message to tell ya where I am from. It is west texas. I think brothermoon has some serious problems. I am serious. The way he jumps women and puts them down. Classic Abusier. Something should be done with him before he hurts someone if he has not already.
Notice he has had nothing to say. If a woman puts him in his place he shuts up and backs down. He will not debate with you only attack you. He is a person with more problems than patsys ever thought of having.

A Doctor friend of mine read his post and said he has some very serious problems with women and we should all be very careful of him. Not that he could come after us but that he could hurt other women in an rage that he has gotten into from speaking with us.
