Why Have George and Cindy Requested a Video Visitation With Casey?

I was trying to think of other reasons that CA/GA want to visit with KC. Taking into consideration the facts that both JB and CM have been having mucho( dat's Spanish for "much") LOL! interviews with the press, to get their faces out there, just in case of a plea deal...I'm wondering if KC is going to plea out. Is there a period of time when a convicted murderer goes to Lowell prison, that they cannot initially have visitors for a period of time? Intake?

That's why maybe GA/CA want to visit her, before she goes on to Lowell. Cindy wasn't looking so good the other day. Maybe they are aware of a plea.

More likely the parent visit is to put testimony out there without KC on the stand, but I was just trying to come up with something else. Thoughts?

I followed the case of Darren Mack - wealthy Reno, Nevada businessman who murdered his wife (they were in divorce proceedings) and attempted to kill the presiding judge. The trial was moved to Las Vegas and the trial began in late October 2007 with sentencing in March 2008.

When the state had presented their case in chief, and before the defense began their case, Darren Mack negotiated a plea deal with the prosecution.

I know of another case in Texas, where the defendant negotiated a plea deal before it went to the jury.

So, at any time before or during the trial, the defendant can decide to change their plea and try to negotiate a plea deal. At that point it becomes a matter of the state accepting a plea deal.

It's a well written motion, much better than anything that the defense team spits out... But didn't both HHJS and HHJP inform the defense (and the A's) that this subject is not one for the Orange County Criminal court to address? This is a matter to take up with the Sheriff and the State. The County Criminal Court had no power to give such orders to the Executive branch. I seem to recall one of them politely pointing out that "the state court house was up the block, and that any of these concerns should be brought there". That the judges court had no standing to address the state Sunshine laws except in very narrow very specific circumstances. And Cindy and George wanting to stay off TV was not one of those.

or am I misremembering all of that?
Nope. We are just not sniffin' the Fabreeze!

No plea coming. Cheney said just the other day, she was innocent and he will take it to the matt.

After Casey has heard Judge Perry deny motion after motion I do believe that her "boys" have come clean with her. There is no way, the way things stand as of right now, that Casey is going to be aquitted. No way. Their hope was to get evidence thrown out. Well that failed. So what is left? Get Casey to co-operate during a videotaped visit with her parents. If Casey understands completely that this is her last hail mary I do believe that she will be able to control herself. Her "boys" will need to make sure that Cindy and George (if he bothers going to the visit) follow the script to a T. This is not about helping Cindy or George or even the defense team. This is all about "saving" Casey and when it comes to Casey she will do whatever it takes for herself.

MOO

Yep ~ There ya have it ~~

Cheney - are you reading today??

See, some of us are "on to ya".

She could ask for a plea or fess up to anything she wants right up to the point of the jury being 5 minutes from walking back into court.

All the way down to the dead end hallway at Universal, one might say.

HLN is reporting that CA/GA want to visit ICA without the cameras rolling.

When they have her B@77s to the wall ;)

I think ICA CLEARLY has a personality disorder that doesnt allow her to see reality slapping her in the face. She really has no ability to see anything from any other perspective than her own selfish perspective. Hence her walking all the way to the end of the line at Universal. She REALLY thought she could pull the wool over their eyes at US. VERY OBVIOUSLY she DID NOT work there, yet followed through... Mind boggling.. So to me.. She isnt completely AWARE of whats going on. she sees everything through Casey coloured glasses which totally distort the world around her. The idea of a plea deal is ludacris to her because the girl doesnt think she will be found guilty at all. Why enter a plea agreement when you arent guilty and you arent going to be convicted?

IMO, IF I were a juror and seen that it took Casey nearly three years to admit to an accident and it just so happened to be less than 5 days before jury selection... I would find that to be extremely suspect. She also better explain why there was duct tape on Caylee's face and why she dumped her in a swamp like wooded area. She would also have to explain why she was so terrified of her parents and her parents would have to concede that the reason she was so terrified of them are true.

I still don't think Casey will see them.

Just speculation, but Casey might say that she came up with a kidnapping by the nanny and applied the duct tape to make it look like a kidnapping. She might say that her partying during the 31 days was an attempt to immerse herself with friends having a good time to try to block out the terrible accident and go on to say that when she was alone she cried (TL will testify to waking up and finding KC distressed).

I think that if this is a plan, they would have to cover all aspects of "the accident."

I need new glasses before the trial starts....I read this as HLN is reporting that CA/GA WENT to visit ICA without the cameras rolling

If the DT presents it to KC as the "acting role of a lifetime" and her one and only chance to save her life, I think KC would do as she's told. After all, it's all about her and her one chance to help herself. I think CA and GA are desperate at this point and would also be willing to play their supporting roles.

How many times have they already been told NO?!?! Geesh!! :banghead:

They need to get over it. If they want to visit Casey... visit her! If she does not want to visit with them... she will deny them like she has been for nearly three years.

I'm so tired of this family thinking that they are above everyone else and the laws we all have to follow.

It might not be a set up. But what happens if Casey suddenly blurts out that it was just a terrible accident, and she is so sorry she couldn't tell anyone, she was too ashamed? Then what? The tape can be admitted and it will tell her 'story' without her having to take the stand and be cross examined.

IMO that is the purpose behind this visit. The DT already tried to do this once by having the Docs testify about her story. Now they are trying to get the parents on video with her 'revealing' the truth... :maddening:

IIRC HHJP already told them to take it up with the Jail. Sunshine laws are what they are, and no prisoner can expect privacy- the record can be obtained by any private citizen or media rep who is interested enough to ask.
Now the A's attorneys want to restrict that information from media, bloggers, interested citizens.
Seems a lot of people want things kept secret this week. I don't like that.

BBM
Why would people have secrets this week? Hmmmmmmmm

Whatever they say you have to look for the hidden meaning! :innocent:
Is this the truth or are they trying to manipulate...

And it's the manipulation that I can't stand. I'm sitting here in tears wondering if this is ever going to end and wondering if this baby will EVER have justice. This is bringing my situation in to sharp focus and I'm not liking what I am seeing.NO, I have NO sympathy whatsoever for the A's. They threw this baby down as sure as I'm sitting here. I come to WS and find more compassion and more love for a child that you guys don't even know, and that's TRULY SAD!. I'm leaving for the night. My nerves are shot. But I wanted to thank each and EVERY caylee supporter here!

WFTV reported on the 6pm news that in their motion the Anthony's are "DEMANDING" that non-videoed visits be allowed "before, during and after the trial". Bill Shaeffer says it probably won't happen.

I'm wondering if the DT haven't clued in the A's of the possible guilty conviction and maybe the DP could happen and the A's want to plead w/ her to confess and take a plea. Considering CA's behavior and demeanor this weeks something is sure eatin' at her.
