Not buying that story...they didn't just decide to attempt murder.
They had a knife with them.

Both girls have openly said that they have planned it since January. They were going to do it at the sleepover while she was asleep but apparently Geyser states that

A) She decided to give the victim "One more day"
B) She saw flaws with the plan.

The next day they asked if they could all go play at the park. Geyser flashed the knife at Weir to let her know that this is where it would take place.

Both girls have admitted to the planning months and months in advance.

The classmate says she once saw "M" with a sledgehammer.

“I remember her holding it and saying that this is a weapon and I can do anything with it. I kind of stayed my distance when she showed me the sledgehammer.”

NOTE: accused is named inthe article. I replaced with initial.

But but but so many keep saying she was doing NORMAL things.

Carrying a sledgehammer and saying she can do anything with it
isn't freakin normal. :banghead:

O/t but somehow the Skylar Neese case completely passed me by. I'll sift through the threads sometime, but I'm curious--before the teens confessed, was WS onto them at all? Was the confession a total surprise? Or did you guys (those of you who may have been in the threads as it was happening) suspect friends based on the sedan? (I just skimmed the Wikipedia page.)

I'm sure there were missed signs, there always are.

But this interview is of a 12 year old child and is the media "fishing" for something, anything to report.

I don't see the sledgehammer situation as so alarming that we could predict that she would murder. Weird yes. But murderous?

That may seen silly to some BUT that is so very true, especially with girls.
I'm glad you made that point.

Jumping off your post, was thinking and I have seen it reported that G was all into this slenderman and drew pictures and all, has it been reported that W also had a computer and was also able to read or was she relying on what G told her it said, and what they were suppose to do. jmo idk

Slender Man Stabbing Suspects Mugshots Released, As Victim Walks In Hospital

Airdate: 06/05/2014

The Slender Man victim is back on her feet. Her anguished parents say the 12-year-old is recovering in a Wisconsin hospital from her 19 stab wounds.

"She has been able to walk the halls of the hospital with her dad," the family says in a statement. "No machine, no tubes. She has been out of bed watching TV in her wheelchair as well. She still gets a little ill when she eats. She also gets overwhelmed very easily." ...

Why are they releasing mug shots of 12 year olds?

Why are they releasing mug shots of 12 year olds?

Because they are being charged as adults so the protection of their identity goes out the window. The same reason that they are naming them and releasing not redacting their names.

I pray for this girl. I just don't know how she will ever trust another friend again. That poor thing.

Parents are responsible to keep their children safe, to care for them, to bring them to the doctor, to make sure they go to school, and are taken care of and loved, to guide them through life and instill in them their culture and beliefs.

Children need supervision yes, and you, I or, Adam or Eve, have zero information to suggest that these children were neglected and "unsupervised."

If the 2 girls were supervised by parents..........
and watched a wee bit closer..........
they LIKELY wouldn't have premeditated and attempted murdering a so called friend.

Has anyone pointed out how similar the girls look? It's almost too much!

  • #512
Yes, I do. Because kids that have their parents plugged in and are being monitored and are being actively parented don't at 12 decided together to kill another child to please an internet legend. IMO

I refuse to let these parents off the hook. No way.

No kiddin! :peace:

I noticed that as well. It also struck me that they look like kids out of the 70's style wise. Daphne from Scooby Doo came to mind.

You can't say that. You don't know what the outcome of increased parental supervision(if there was indeed a problem with supervision) would be.

A 12 year old can stay for up to 3 hours by themselves BY LAW... and watch others.

No parent is with a child 24/7 and knows everything with certainty. No parent.

Do you mean Velma? Daphne was the "hot" redhead.

A good blog post about parental responsibility.

http://thestir.cafemom.com/teen/162053/should_parents_be_held_accountable

Truth be told, a kid with bad parenting can be a saint and a kid with excellent parenting can be trouble.

Like the article says, what is one supposed to do, call the police and say, I think my child may murder someone? You are supposed to be able to predict that?

So you monitor them. And they still kill someone. What then? oh that's right, some person on the internet says it is your fault even though you killed yourself being a parent. Or you don't monitor them. You beat them and abuse them and they become a doctor... can you take credit for that? No. Sometimes your kids will just be who they are no matter how hard we try to not make them that way.

I CAN SAY that and I did.

Sorry, I should restate for those that are stomping their feet. You can not say with absolute certainty that 1) they were not supervised or 2) that it would have changed anything.

Unless you are a verified insider too this case, you can't. Nothing published in MSM stating otherwise.

Really? You guys are bickering over the word evil? Seriously?

EVERYBODY may assign their own meaning to the word evil, or any other word for that matter. People think differently, that's okay - especially here.

Stop bickering. If you have a problem, alert the post and move on. Don't take it upon yourself to correct others. That's not your job. Just alert and move on.
