Just call it a mistrial already. This is a disaster.
Actually, I am good with the trial continuing. A mistrial would mean these folks would have to sit through it all over again. Let’s get it over with.Just call it a mistrial already. This is a disaster.

DB can’t decide if the driver was not him, or it was him and he was honking. He can’t decide if he’s a sovereign citizen where the government has no jurisdiction over him, or a self-taught attorney able to act within the confines of the legal system. He’s manipulating the courtroom. I feel certain that his futile tactics are evident to the jury.
He is an enigma - smart, but devoid of empathy or conscience. Evil genius.
He’s dangerous.
As @BeckyF said above, I am looking forward to a verdict of “guilty of all charges.“

Regarding his mental health treatment, DB’s mother had this to say. More at the article link.At least four mental health professionals have determined that he is competent to stand trial. Four!
The appeal should be interesting. Start with, incompetent representation...slam dunk. Although, he has the right to defend himself.
I am actually interested in his mental health history, it seems like he had been on psychotropic medication, but stopped taking his meds? I wonder why. Could he not afford them any longer? Lack of health insurance? Those would be some strong and provocative arguments for the insanity defense, that he has shut down. Sort of glad about that.

Darrell did not come from a bad family like many people have said. He came from a loving christian family and is the grandson of ministers. Darrell has suffered from mental health issues since he was very young. In those years he received counseling and was on medication. When he became an adult a decision was made that he no longer suffered from a mental illness. That decision left him with no insurance or financial means to pay for medication and when determind necessary counseling. Mental illness is not cheap to treat but what's more important dollars spent on treatment and recouses or lives lost.
Instead of offering help and resources to combat the problem a jail cell was given. Over and over again. When mental illness is not properly treated the person becomes sicker and sicker. It doesn't go away once a person becomes an adult.

'He was not given the help and resources he needed,' family of Darrell Brooks writes in letter to media
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --In a letter to the media Wednesday morning, Dec. 1, the family of Darrell Brooks, the man accused of killing six people in the Waukesha Holiday Parade attack, is expressing their condolenceswww.cbs58.com
The more I watch him the more disturbed I become by him. I don’t care about how he fares, since he has a right to self-represent. As the saying goes “He who represents himself has a fool for a client.”He clearly has no strategy to his defense/questioning. He seems to resent the victims. He's still combative despite his "apology" yesterday.
