If you shoot someone 7 times at point blank range, the reasonable expectation is death. The cop knew he was, in all likelihood, killing him.

Which makes me wonder if the cop was aiming for the hands that were reaching for something? Hard to believe that anyone could miss a deadly force shot at that range

Sure, it’s possible that the cop can’t hit the broad side of a barn. My guess is that they all hit their mark. If he couldn’t hit his target at point blank range, he’s got other problems.

I was about to ask the same thing. I don't believe its been stated how many times he was hit.

I don't agree and I don't suppose it happens too often but he was trying to pull him back by his clothes so that probably affected his aim. So do you think they should have just risked him retrieving a loaded weapon from his car and shoot them or his kids or innocent bystanders instead? What should they have done in your opinion? He knew they had drawn their weapons.

Perhaps checking on his 3 boys that are under the age of 8 that were in the back seat, within inches of the shootings? I am sure they were hysterical just prior to seeing and hearing the shots, poor things.

I am so sad for those poor little ones! They had to be upset and frightened even before the actual shooting. That being said , I doubt he was checking on them when he appears to be reaching under the seat. Their fathers lack of cooperation is what caused their fear. FGS, he knew his kids were right there! That’s all the more reason to cooperate and try to keep the situation calm.

Amateur video shows the events leading up to the shooting - though the footage is taken from the opposite angle of the initial viral cell phone clip in which Jacob Blake is seen walking toward his SUV before he is gunned down.

In the latest video, Blake is seen wrestling with at least two Kenosha police officers.

Blake then manages to break free from the mayhem and begins to walk from the passenger’s side of his SUV to the driver’s side.

I would like to have the statements from the officers before making any type of conclusion or accusation. It was a tragedy, and I hope Mr. Blake will be okay.
