What happened to James Yoblonski? I can quote this:

"[William, the father] Yoblonski said he does not know who might have wanted to take James, but he said he does not suspect any family members. He added that James and his three siblings’ biological mother, RS*, has not been involved in their lives in more than four years and that he has not heard from her since James went missing."

*I'm not implying she's a suspect so I probably don't need to hide her name, but just in case, I don't want to upset anyone.

I do hope that law enforcement has spoken to her though, just in case James contacted her.

Wow! I didn’t read the article so I apologize if it has details I’m not aware of at this time but I just cannot imagine that the mother has not been in contact with the dad since James disappeared. As a mom, that is completely unfathomable to me.

She has remarried and has children with her new wife, I‘m not going to speculate what is going on or why it’s going on.

maybe dad is wrong, although she hasn’t talked to him, maybe he doesn’t know about communication between her and the kids. I couldn’t read the article either, paywall, but that quote popped up. I just wonder if she could shed any light on his location, maybe james called her? Regardless, law enforcement could talk to her and maybe she would know something.

I saw that article now and in another part it does say the investigators spoke to his siblings and mother, but nothing about talking to friends.

I don’t know why, but I keep circling around to this case (I mostly avoid “current-ish” cases unless localish).

I dunno, it’s just that the overall response/ messaging has been so - muted (?) - since James went missing. I kinda wonder if LE has some idea about his location or what happened, but maybe it’s just one of those unfortunate cases that fell between the cracks.

The muted is how most cases get treated up there. Consider Jacob Wenzel, Jon Morgan, Nick Hietpas, Marquard, Menger. once they finish initial searches, they just wait for tips or a body to be found. Friends, family are rarely interviewed. In Wenzel’s case, evidence was lost when video wasn’t obtained before it was taped over. In Marquard and Menger, they were reported so much later there never was a search.

This just follows the same pattern. And many, many law enforcement bodies do it. Do a search or two, wait. And wait.

Also there were only a few pictures of him. In the beginning and for a long time it was just the one that looks like a school photo. There are more pictures of him now.

Can’t answer the first two as I believe he’s not a person of interest. The third, no I don’t think they have answered that, but @Quoththeraven had some good suspicions earlier in the thread.

The only thing I’ve seen said is his business was in Wisconsin dells and he kept his gun there. No info I could find on it. It may be something they don’t want to disclose.

Per the missing poster for James, searches about leaving the state were made on two devices he had access to. Has there been discussion here or in the media about why he might want to leave the state? We can speculate about why a 13 year old boy would want to leave the state, but I am curious if they have a reason based on circumstances or evidence. I am wondering if other searches on those devices might be related and could shed light on his motivation.
