Nutter talking, J said I don't know where I am a couple of times.

His attorneys could care less about that. They just want to become Sparkle-Stars in the bangin' barrister community. Big money in that, you know.
They are public defenders. I understand that to mean they were appointed and that they are paid a by salary, not by case. I'm mixed on whether they would want to do this case for publicity.

Nutter's neighbors knew her immediately.

Yeah, I'm not understanding the unemployment thing. I can see how that small town might not have jobs....so move. Get the lead out and move out, kid!

Just imagine if he had a job that kept him busy so he didn't have time or energy to concoct elaborate plans to kill and kidnap. And, who knows, maybe an employed young man could even get a date.

He seems capable of working, so why wasn't he? Is there a reason we don't know?

jmo

Million dollar question...odd there’s nothing on almost all family members....

I would buy growing pot and selling from a secluded house...breaking bad style..

I don’t buy doing nothing for three years... price is right is only good if your skipping school or work...

Was JP adopted?? His face looks round.. other family members don’t loook that similar even factoring weight... his sister is taller than him... that’s possible but not Likely...were they all adopted/foster children...I’m asking..

That family had something go haywire a decade ago.....5 people and only one with lot of info is pot smoking older brother.. strange

J said she was very lonely, kept hidden. Gave her blanket.

Aunt said she thought it was another false story.

While some posters are pretty much gloating, we might do well to remember the recent landmark decision in the Martha Moxley/ Michael Skakel assault and murder trial, conviction, and now absolute freedom for Skakel because his new attorneys proved the venerable Mickey Sherman " failed to call ONE witness who could verify he was elsewhere".

I recall gloating about Michael Skakel's very fair conviction for years.. and if Dominick Dunne was still alive, he likely would still be mentioning the case as well. For so many of us of that age group, ( Martha's, not D. Dunne's) it was a huge thing that a Kennedy cousin finally got his just desserts. And now, pffft. He's out and Martha will never have true justice in the courts.

IF the defendant in the Closs cases has wealthy parents, justice is not always true justice.
Are the Pattersons considered to be extremely wealthy in WI or the USA in total?

Yes, I mentioned in an earlier post that they may be assigned public defenders. My guess? This is the kinda case a public defender DREAMS about landing. A good attorney can make a name for him/her/them/they self for a lifetime on this case.

Aunt says she will help raise J. They will grieve together and get through this. OMG, so much happiness and pain in the aunt's eyes.

You have internet but no TV? Can't you watch CBS online.

Many of us cut the cable cord years ago. If you live far enough out in the country like I do, you can't even get the basic channels. I have to wait until things are uploaded to You Tube. In many cases, you can't watch things online unless you can sign in with your cable provider.

Let’s see if this works out for them. I can’t watch 48 hours live either, so appreciate Irmese giving updates.

This 48 hours episode is the best I’ve ever seen.. absolutely beautiful... I’m so happy for her and her family.

BBM

I've seen nothing to suggest that the Pattersons are anything other than middle class. Perhaps upper middle class, but definitely not "wealthy", much less "extremely wealthy."

I’m still unnerved about how he went about obtaining her. So many other ways besides a home invasion with a shotgun. That just makes me think that he truly was looking for some type of long-term relationship with her. That also leads me to believe he had been creeping on her & made this decision for quite some time. How he came across her path will be interesting to say the least.

Believe me, I'm well aware. But I also know that TV networks can be accessed online. Cost is less, but muggle wants no charge; so be it.

If there is any new or interesting information can someone please share? I'm one of those weird "no TV" people.
Your not weird. I'm one of those no cell phone people except when required for work. I haven't heard anything yet we dont know. I missed about the 1st 10 min.
