The sheriff said yesterday they had not even contacted LE about their son. And they were quick to hit the delete button on all SM.While some posters are pretty much gloating, we might do well to remember the recent landmark decision in the Martha Moxley/ Michael Skakel assault and murder trial, conviction, and now absolute freedom for Skakel because his new attorneys proved the venerable Mickey Sherman " failed to call ONE witness who could verify he was elsewhere".
I recall gloating about Michael Skakel's very fair conviction for years.. and if Dominick Dunne was still alive, he likely would still be mentioning the case as well. For so many of us of that age group, ( Martha's, not D. Dunne's) it was a huge thing that a Kennedy cousin finally got his just desserts. And now, pffft. He's out and Martha will never have true justice in the courts.
IF the defendant in the Closs cases has wealthy parents, justice is not always true justice.
Are the Pattersons considered to be extremely wealthy in WI or the USA in total?
I've been thinking that as well. I can't just generalize and chalk it up to being crazy. Was something building in him and he exploded?I think the one fact we do know that shocked me and it takes much to shock me is how he went all out Rambo entering the house.
Agree, and i'm sure Jayme will find strengths within that she didn't know she had over the course of her journey of healing, and will possibly one day be an advocate for others that have gone through similar horrible circumstances. May wonderful things come her way in the future.I’ve been crying for the past 27 minutes watching 48 hours. Im so happy Jayme is home. I’ve been following this since day one and wow it’s just so overwhelming. She has a very long road ahead of her but she has such a wonderful support system. I have no doubt she will come through this eventually one day. She’s such a strong brave 13 year old. I’m also so happy for all of us who have been here for months. It’s so rare we get such great news like this. Jayme did it. She survived. She escaped. She’s alive. She’s safe. We love you Jayme.
I'm not so sure frightened is the right word. A retired cop, a teacher, and a child protection social worker? These folks were in full protection mode! See this great article that was recently posted here:
Rescuers, law enforcement recount finding Closs alive
And this quote:
She followed her dog’s urge to head for a walk before sundown.
“I owe it all to him,” she said. “He made me go for a walk.”
See, I told you guys that HenryStandingBear is a hero, too!![]()
I dunno. I said from the beginning Jayme was the target. Given that she was the only one to leave alive. Was he so obsessed he felt her parents had to die? Not typical but has happened. I'm so happy she was found and thankful he didn't find her after she escaped. I think it would be a very different outcome.I've been thinking that as well. I can't just generalize and chalk it up to being crazy. Was something building in him and he exploded?
I’m still unnerved about how he went about obtaining her. So many other ways besides a home invasion with a shotgun. That just makes me think that he truly was looking for some type of long-term relationship with her. That also leads me to believe he had been creeping on her & made this decision for quite some time. How he came across her path will be interesting to say the least.
They showed the red car, but didn't say if it was the one LE was looking for.Nothing new to us, yet.
Absolutely. You work toward a new normal.ES said there's no going back to who you were before.
And those were all happy endings; lest we not forget the others48HRS:
Spending some time on previous abduction cases...Smart/Dugard/Hornbeck
Can't answer your questions but I did find it odd his name didn't come up with the other family names on the people search sites.Million dollar question...odd there’s nothing on almost all family members....
I would buy growing pot and selling from a secluded house...breaking bad style..
I don’t buy doing nothing for three years... price is right is only good if your skipping school or work...
Was JP adopted?? His face looks round.. other family members don’t loook that similar even factoring weight... his sister is taller than him... that’s possible but not Likely...were they all adopted/foster children...I’m asking..
That family had something go haywire a decade ago.....5 people and only one with lot of info is pot smoking older brother.. strange
To their credit, each time they go to and come back from break, they show sets of three missing children with names/photos/date missing. And those were all happy endings; lest we not forget the others![]()
Yes it does, have watched other episodes of 48 hours previously too on t.v.48 hours is doing a nice job of summarizing Jayme’s case and other notable cases as previously mentioned. By nice job it doesn’t seem overly dramatic and is really sensitive to the victims. Hope that makes sense.
