“Some distortion/muffling due to the bathroom/tub likely didn't help, but there's probably more detail on the tape than released.”
Trying to figure out at what point the 911 call was made. Was it when JP was busting through the door?
The BC Sheriff has stated all along that nothing discernible could be heard in the call. Knowing what we now know about the location of JC and DC, in the bathroom tub, hiding behind the curtain, how muffled could the audio be?
Did DC have it in a pocket to conceal the fact the call was made? If so, then JP found it on her, right? Or, did JC have the phone, make the call? If so, was it in her pocket and did he find it, perhaps when he was placing duct tape on her?
How did the phone travel from the bathroom (tub?) to the outer hallway door? Did JP throw it there? Did JC drop it as he grabbed her to exit the house? (Edit to add: Did it fall out of her pocket?)
Did the 911 operator hear the gunshot?
(Edit #2 - In earlier interview (I believe w/Dryden Wire), Sheriff stated that the audio sounded like it was coming from another room, where you couldn’t make out what was being said. I believe that was a bluff and there’s more on that audio than we know, how much is the question.)

“It is unknown who made that call.
"There's like a distance to it or something's covering up the phone like a blanket," Fitzgerald said.
Police found the phone in the doorway of a bathroom hallway, away from where the two bodies were discovered, he said in an interview with MPR News.”
