One possibly sad thing about leaving the house standing... Jayme having to see it if passing by.
It is not uncommon for people to have a huge emotional attachment to the house that they grew up in, even if there was no trauma whatsoever.
It is possible that the bank has controlling interest to make decisions. I wonder if the bank consulted the Closs family at all?
It would be a waste IMO to demolish it. The house may still have a mortgage requiring settlement and it's sale hopefully yields a financial benefit for JC. Fingers crossed that the parents insurance had a death pay off clause.
Well that rots big time. The photo's made it obvious to me this was their happy home -- the collapsible breakfast bar, wallpaper trim, large yard, etc.
The only home Jayme ever knew. Years of happy times -- hope it can be the same for a new family.
Also, I noticed at the bottom of webpage "search powered by foreclosure.com" and sure enough -- it's listed on that site as "bank owned."

The bank has all the control at this point. It had to have gone into foreclosure to eventually come back on the market as a HomePath sale. They generally have a margin over the expenses that they want to bring in. The repairs were extensive. They may not even recoup their costs. The family will not receive anything. One possibly sad thing about leaving the house standing... Jayme having to see it if passing by.

Ohh- first one without her mom & dad. That’s hard. Gonna add an extra prayer to my list tonight.
I think the stairs are behind the door in the dining area, across from the front door.I still don't know where the stairs are.
Most likely, but I want to see them, lol!I think the stairs are behind the door in the dining area, across from the front door.
I live about an hour away from it and I would offer to tour it for you but it would scare the crap out of me so I better not. Most likely, but I want to see them, lol!
The former home of Jayme Closs and family is up for sale. Home Path is real estate website for Fannie Mae owned properties.

Probably too many morbid people trying to get in a take a look. The home listing has been removed. Hmmmm.

Exactly! The public has a right to know where his sorry @ss is. Hopefully it’s a state far away where his family can’t easily visit. Not to wish any more pain on them, but JC can no longer receive support from her family. He shouldn’t be able to look forward to regular visits either......not being disclosed for his safety."
Like who cares about HIS safety?? Not me! What about JCs safety! Poor child won’t ever feel safe again. Blessing to her & her family.
