Just observing some things out loud for consideration:
-> The storm door police took from the scene was in tact. The glass wasn't shattered or damaged that I could see. To me, this would indicate someone did NOT shoot anyone THROUGH the storm door. This must mean that whoever shot James did so at close range, and had to have opened (or had that door opened) to him/her/them before firing. So we're not talking about someone who went sniper style with a scope on a gun from a distance say in the driveway / front of the house. Someone walked right up to that door, had it opened, or opened it and James was killed.
-> I saw that the Sherrif had said in some main stream media interview that police attending the initial call saw "feet" (loosely paraphrasing). I'm looking for the interview that I saw earlier this morning that states that so I can quote it... but I can't remember where I read it. It was a quote from the sheriff that I'm specifically looking for but the gist was that the police saw feet - he wasn't sure at what point / where they were when they saw feet. If you have the link, pls send me it so I can add it here...
But to me, if dad was barefoot, and police saw feet, then he hadn't been out and just walked in the door. He had been home, perhaps ready for bed? Maybe got out of bed for some reason and went to the door?
