Just observing some things out loud for consideration:

-> The storm door police took from the scene was in tact. The glass wasn't shattered or damaged that I could see. To me, this would indicate someone did NOT shoot anyone THROUGH the storm door. This must mean that whoever shot James did so at close range, and had to have opened (or had that door opened) to him/her/them before firing. So we're not talking about someone who went sniper style with a scope on a gun from a distance say in the driveway / front of the house. Someone walked right up to that door, had it opened, or opened it and James was killed.

-> I saw that the Sherrif had said in some main stream media interview that police attending the initial call saw "feet" (loosely paraphrasing). I'm looking for the interview that I saw earlier this morning that states that so I can quote it... but I can't remember where I read it. It was a quote from the sheriff that I'm specifically looking for but the gist was that the police saw feet - he wasn't sure at what point / where they were when they saw feet. If you have the link, pls send me it so I can add it here...
But to me, if dad was barefoot, and police saw feet, then he hadn't been out and just walked in the door. He had been home, perhaps ready for bed? Maybe got out of bed for some reason and went to the door? :(

Yes this is correct. I have a 72 and this def not close to the vehicle of interest. Only similarity is the color.

I have personal cameras around the exterior of my house...they would look identical at night on my video. It's basically night vision, so you can't see fine detailing, especially when things are moving

Or maybe she ran out of the house and that's where they caught up to her and had to take her at that point. Shooting her outside would be too loud and they were running out of time since 911 had already been notified. jmo
I was going to say the same but wasn't sure if LE had stated that she was taken from the home or not. I'm wondering what is on that 911 call.

The quote is from AB's show. Check this post:

I am beginning to believe they put stock photos up of both vehicles purposefully.

I dont think its logical that all video footage was grainy and unclear.

Imo there are identifying markers on these vehicles. May be a decal on windows or sticker on bumper. May show slight body damage of some kind.etc.

Doing it this way when they receive tips this is the way they will know if the tips are credible or not.

Imo
I agree...they aren't gonna lay all their card out on the table at once.

Since they posted photos of vehicles they are interested in finding, probably not a get-away by ATV. Seems pretty far to travel that way also, at night, in the colder weather. But thanks for contributing and Welcome to Websleuths!
Living in Minnesota it is not uncommon to see ATVs being ridden at night and going cross country, i.e. through farm fields and county roads. Many snowmobile trail routes are utilized and if crops have been harvested the route options may be breaking new trails. Most of us here on the tundra know when and how to dress for the cooling temperatures of autumn. I have been snowmobiling when it was -20° F. with wind chills being even colder once you were moving.

I would think a get away vehicle would be the one a person arrived on. Having the ability to escape cross country without using roads an ATV likely would not show up in videos from gas stations or other businesses that rely on high vehicle count traffic areas for their business like main roads & highways.

Please be careful what you post folks. If you quote or comment on a post that is against the TOS, you will create a huge mess for our mods to have to come in and clean up.

Thanks.
Yes. I went back and deleted one of my posts that was a response to a post of a FB page against TOS, so as not to make more work for the mods. There is a limited amount of time one can go back and edit their posts also, for those that want to do so.

Agree with your first point, I've posted similar to it. It also means that the perp held the screen door open before kicking in the door. It's not that easy to kick in a door, and would be even a bit more difficult while holding another door open. I am thinking the police may have knocked the door in, not the perp

Could be Mom crying for help. If she made the call. And the yelling in the background as it was discovered 911 had been called, that there was a child in the house as well (unless this was a known), and/or that the child ran out another door. Must have been mass confusion on perp(s) part(s) as to what to do next. Get the heck out of there imo

When it comes to the Challenger, though, LE seems to be very concrete about the model. Something tells me they have some other information that clearly identified the make/model on the car.
