Sorry for quoting multiple posts but I can't catch up this morning:

There is a sliding door on the side deck that they could have used to exit. There were photos posted either in this thread or the previous one.

ETA: My bad it was thread 7 (gosh this discussion moves fast!), see post by Jethro here for a photo: AMBER ALERT - WI - Jayme Closs, 13, Barron, missing after parents found shot to death, 15 Oct 2018 *endangered* #7

I'm really surprised about the door being "ajar" but it makes sense. @MassGuy was talking about how if they "kicked in the door" it would still be on the hinges.
Putting together this new info of his feet being in the doorway and the door being ajar... Along with family saying they "shot in the door", our knowledge that this door had a small window, and first LEO on scene thought it may have been suicide at first glance...
I wonder if this is what happened (speculation): James came to the door and looked out the window--he is tall and has to duck a little to look out it. Perp shot him in the head through the window in the door (1st shot heard). Force of gunshot pushes James backward to the floor. Perp then shot at the lock (2nd shot heard) and kicked the door open but it remains on it's hinges. James' legs that had been bent in order to look out window naturally fall out the open door so his feet stick out. Perp steps over body to get in house. Other gunshots killing Denise were not heard because they were inside the house. Speculation only.

Good catch. I'll see if I can find it.

Ok, the next photo at above links I think is a different house. It doesn't look like the back of their house in my opinion. I'm not going to link the "back shot" because I don't want to get in trouble for linking a different house, but if anyone wants to see it just use the arrows on the above links.

Here is a screenshot from Whiskers16's timeline on page 1 and shows the back of their house:

Yes, creepy. Anyone could see it. It was 2 years ago so not sure how relevant it is now.
I find it extremely creepy that a company would put an ad with a child in it out for publicity unless they knew the family well and had permission from teh parents.... I would think the pic of just the house would be efficient

The search has these cows confused

Dense leaf cover and a marsh are making this groups area tricky to search. Many are using sticks to brush away leaves. #JaymeCloss

Tim Collins of Shoreview, Minn. brought his dog Gretchen. She’s a 4-year-old rescue. “If it’s out here, she can find it,” he says.

The group I’m tailing (#11) is out of the woods and is working their way through a trailer park and residential areas.

Baby Lewis was Denise's Nephew. Her Brothers child, he was born early, due to car accident that her Brother and His wife were involved in. Sadly he didn't make it.
That is extremely heartbreaking for the family. I just found it odd the way it was worded in the obituary because it didn't say nephew or anything to that extent

They are cousins. Sikora's are listed in the obituary as well.

Based on the location of the company (Cornell), I believe they likely knew the family. There's also a Sikora listed in DC's obituary, so it's more than likely family.

Has anyone heard numbers yet? I am wondering if they got 2000 volunteers and actually had to turn people away.
I was turned away, and there were many others as well, so I'm guessing they met their numbers. It was a bittersweet sight to see the mass amount of vehicles flooding in, already parked, and waiting to see if they could help. Even more so seeing these wonderful folks in the field! Faces of loyal determination. Truly astonishing!

I realize that it was probably somewhat of an inconvenience and disappointment to have been turned away.. But what an amazing turnout for this little girl! Thank you for taking the time to head there! I really wanted to, but needed to be at work today!

Thank you for going out to volunteer and letting us know. This makes my day knowing so many people showed up and really care about Jayme :)

The back house photo in question isn't their house. I was digging through this last week as well. Compare the location of the chimney and they are 2 different homes. Plus you see the back of the house @Whiskers16 posted and there is no elevated deck.

I heard on HLN news a short while ago that 2000 volunteers were asked to help search today and that “more than that showed up.”

Needed to say more than just a like on this one....Thank you and Wow!

There was some discussion of the layout of the house. On the photos I note there are windows on the lower level, including right next to the deck. Sorry, I don't have a link right now but I expect someone will. The windows lead me to believe that there is a basement (rather than just a crawl space) behind the garage.

Yes it was odd wording. I saw it on Denise's social media Last week. Very sad all round really. :(

Volunteers say they felt need to help find Jayme Closs
(See 1.25 minute video at the end of the article for interview with Governor Scott.)

Speaking after a campaign event in Ashwaubenon, Gov. Scott Walker called the volunteer response "remarkable."

He said state officials are working with authorities in Barron County to support the search efforts.

I would like to see a list of confirmed FACTS, if anyone has one?
