The mom's obituary did list "baby Lewis" as someone she was predeceased by, so perhaps she had a child, before Jayme, that died. "Baby Lewis" is not on James' list of people he was predeceased by.
Her infant nephew.

Rope is a bit of a stretch...

I just posted updated sharpened/enhanced images of the chairs an hour or two ago: #965

I enhanced/sharpened so that you can see the two ties/rope in that back of the chair, and what I believe to be damage to the front left or "splinters/splintered wood". You'll note that the "splinters" are broken and not continuous like the tie in back right. I reviewed the CNN HD video frame by frame again with a fresh set of eyes. What struck me about the video a few days later, that I hadn't realized previously is that the knot in the rear left seems "backwards" (if that makes sense) from what you could tie with the two standard cushion ties that are attached to the cushion (see attached image). The knot also seems less "decorative" than the typical cushion tie methods. It appears to be tied with a knot similar to a standard "fisherman's knot" (I'm an avid fisherman, and was fishing in the area the day of the crime). I also noticed that the strings/rope/ties are discolored or dirty, and seem disproportionate to the size of chair, meaning the tag ends are far too long to secure a standard cushion tightly. The rope in the rear right is about half the length of the chair leg. Which if you theorize that LE cut a cushion off from those tag ends, it would be far too long to secure a cushion neatly.

Upon further review, I've modified my position to believe that while this video evidence is definitely inconclusive, it's possible that someone could have been tied to the chair using the ropes/ties shown. It's also still possible that the Closs family just had cushions tied to the chair using a less common fishing style knot, and we can't really inspect it close enough to make an accurate determination.

Before the "Baby Lewis" topic grows legs again, that baby mentioned in the obituary was Denise's nephew.

Thanks. So I wonder what the CFS # they linked to is? The log we have is for BNSO1831604, but they reference linking this case to BNSO1831605. Would the homicide get 1 case number, and the abduction another? Strange that it is only mentioned once in the entire log.
Good find! I'm going to reread myself!

Can anyone shed some light on what the following means in the dispatch log?

Specifically wondering about the last line. Is that Child & Family Services case number? Or is that referencing a Sheriff's Officer #?

CFS is call for service. I'm thinking the BNSO number is the number for the dispatch report.

The child who died was NOT DC's child. It was her nephew that passed as an infant.
Oh, sorry, I thought I read that it was hers by a previous marriage. I must have missed that yesterday when I was trying to catch up.

The blinds could be like that from the dog trying to look out the window, or from Jayme when she was little pulling the blinds down to look out the window. My daughter does this all the time. Instead of pulling on the string, she just pulls down the blinds to see what's going on outside. Jmo
As far as the blinds - they have been messed up for a while, as seen in this facebook pic from the Painting company someone posted earlier:

I think someone mentioned in one of the earliest threads it is a figure 8 knot. I have a video on how to do one and it seem so freaking complicated to me LOL. Maybe not for someone who ties more than their kid's shoes.

ERT means either "emergency response team" or "evidence response team". CFS is "Child and Family Services". Whenever there is a "serious incident" and child is involved they have to file documentation of the incident with CFS. In this case, when they find Jayme and if she's alive there are going to be issues of custodial care, treatment of any injuries, assessments, placement, etc. So this is required by law to file to address those issues.

I think we should put this info on the first page. This question is getting asked alot.

The interesting thing about Wisconsin is that they now can collect DNA samples from anyone convicted of a misdemeanor, as well as those accused of a felony. They are not limited by only collecting after someone is already convicted of a felony. But the fact that they can now collect DNA ( As of April, 2015) from all those convicted of misdemeanors is significant. Not many states permit that. I wonder if there has been an increase of arrests in the past week.
Maybe they can get dna From the cell phone found at the house? I’ve wondered if the suspect grabbed the phone or picked it up to see 911 on the screen

Anyone who's been in any kind of scouting or camping program definitely knows how to do that kind of knot. It's one of the first knots they teach you.

BNSO1831604 is likely a Sheriff's incident identifier. When calls come into the 911 dispatch center to the incidents are handled by the agencies that handle the particular area or call. So, a fire call, or an ambulance call, or police call would have some incident identifier that is specific to them. In this case BNSO would mean the Sheriff's office. Had the Closs' actually lived in the City of Barron (they live just outside of it) there would have been a different 4 letter code to represent the City of Barron Police department - perhaps something like "BNPD". If we had a fire call log from a fire in Almena, for example, we would likely see an identifier something like "ALFD". And so on.

The numbers after the BNSO are likely the 2-digit year and the next 5 digits are an unique number allocated by the system for the incident.

So they did open a report on another incident, then. Since they are linking #604 to #605. Would it make sense, in your opinion, that the 2nd case number would be for the abduction? Just trying to figure out what would necessitate them linking 2 case numbers together for units responding to a singular incident.

One number could be for James and one could be for Denise?

That would be assuming the suspect was still there when the call was placed. I saw at least one post that suggested the suspect could have left immediately with JC after the gunshots and DC could have taken a while to make the call since she could have lost and regained consciousness, etc.. Does anyone else think this or does the commotion and noise in the 911 call strongly suggest there was multiple people still at the house?
