There's a Barron city water waste department. I'd wager that house is on city water/sewer.
Someone looked at a document, maybe assessor?, that shows they have a septic.

Why go to the lengths of murder if one only wanted a child bride? One could find plenty of opportunities to find an easy victim, IMO.You may be right but I hope not. Possibly she was taken as a perverted child bride and the perp wants to keep her alive. There are hundreds of remote farmsteads/homesteads in that area where she may be held prisoner. Even though "he" (they?) killed her parents, it's possible he's trying to be nice to her and win her over. Isn't that called Stockholm syndrone?
For anyone interested in the number and location of homes surrounding the Closs home, this is a good map showing each address in the Barron Township.
The first "hyway 8" icon to the left of Barron is the exact location of the Closs home.

I would think there are some things , though, because of the weapon, kicking in the door, the crime scene , that indicate a personality type.
I would think that perhaps the level has increased and it indicates a type of person who has done another type of crime.
For instance, it seems that many mass shooters have DV in their backgrounds. So do elements of this crime have precursors?
Been wracking my brain, trying to figure how not only one (quite distinctive muscle car, but another regular everyday car) could disappear so quick.
Here's what I have so far.
1: maybe hiden in an auto body shop.
2: could be someone with a garage, and under the table business, car painting, detailing, soupING up,or moding type thing.
3: the cars are hidden in a storage unit.
4: it could be a car hobbyist, collector, with multi car garage.
"Unprotected species (as well as coyote, fox and raccoon) may be hunted without shooting hour restrictions" (except deer season.) from page 10 of: https://dnr.wi.gov/files/pdf/pubs/wm/wm0430.pdf
Page 3 explains what are unprotected species.
Page 20 also talks about landowners.
Strangely I have never thought Jayme had anything at all to do with all of this.
Usually in a case where a young girl runs something breaks. A Walmart shot of buying hair dye, an ID at a FF restaurant or LE is putting up BOTLO for and a description. I know there are posters and billboards but I think that's SOP!
With that said what 13 year old girl. Much loved and tended to by her mother and probably dad too since she was their one and only meets up on the internet a guy that comes to the home at 12:30 PM guns blazing and breaks down the door, kills two human beings, rapes the girl and takes her with him to avoid leaving DNA (that's my own opinion..not a fact).
With that said nary a word or sighting or whisper about Jayme anywhere. Police all over this USA have her in sights but nothing.
Four girls taken and never heard of again have been returned and that's rare. We all know their names. Dugard, Smart, Hernandez and the Cleveland three.
Most others have met the same fate at Mollie Tibbetts. We just haven't found them yet.
I think the guy had a planned hiding place where he is keeping her, like with the girl in the storage container Shayla Brown, or like Eliz Smart. It’s a shed or basement or old mine shack or something similar, very isolated. As someone else said, ir doesn’t make sense to go to all the trouble and planning just to rape and murder her.

You would be surprised. On Wednesday I attended a briefing on a 40 year old cold case at a 1200 member department on the east coast. Not one officer/detectives had ever heard of this case.
Don’t assume that the details of every notorious case filters down to the worker bees. .

What do I type into you tube - the victim surname?
Trying to rack my brain for anything new to say, but was thinking about a post earlier that mention the possibility that Jayme ran and someone "safe" might be hiding her. But then, I was wondering who might that be. Then I realized that while we have heard from very few of Jayme's family, the only ones (that I know of) that have spoken have come from her mom's side of the family. It looks like James has quite a few surviving relatives as well. It also looks like both James and Denise had quite a few siblings which indicate large extended families, which may make some sort of "underground railroad" possible?
Why would someone continue to hide Jayme if she did run?
-Protect Jayme from perp
-Protect parents memory/reputation if they were the targets
-Anything else
Hope this at least provides some new talking points. And if this has been rehashed in prior threads, I apologize. This thread has gotten quite voluminous.
Ughhhhhhh. Another good one. Hope it's not that though. How aweful. Holding out hope that Jayme is still alive.5. Cars were stolen from another state and dumped in a body of water as soon as crime was completed? With two people they could easily accomplish that-- dump the one that had Jayme in it first (I'm thinking the Challenger since it has a trunk), then go get your own car and get rid of the 2nd stolen car somewhere else...

No. And since I am not an attorney I don’t know every thought on keeping things close to the vest.
But common sense tells me to apply everything I learned in my political career.
As smart as one believes themselves to be, regarding any issue or procedure, there are 5 people out there smarter than you determined to have their way with your idea/project.
And pray tell I’ve run into some very intelligent people.
Not everyone an attorney, but I have been taught some substantial lessons while trying to put together budgets, pass a new law, and astonishingly even when trying to update some very old ones.
Wait. What??? Anyone know anything more about the northern Michigan thing? They also mention a possible sighting in Northern Michigan. I never heard about that one.
I still have a problem with the theory that Jayme was targeted. If that is the case, why not take her when she is some place alone? Bus stop? Store? When she is home alone? I don't know whether this is just really poor planning or an act of desperation. If it were the later - i.e., the killer(s) thought either the parents or Jayme knew something they shouldn't - maybe the killer(s) believed they didn't have the luxury of time to conduct surveillance on Jayme or the parents. Maybe they believed the house was so far from other neighbors they could pull it off like they did. Were it not for the 911 call no one might have known a thing till the next morning or afternoon.
Still you're going to go into a house not knowing if the owner has a gun nearby? I know my dad had a loaded .38 in his bedside cabinet and he was a light sleeper. Someone kicking a door open in that situation would likely have a very bad day.
