Is there a longer interview with the family someplace else?

All trash areas from the plant and their town must be searched. Why there hasn't been a landfill search as of yet is beyond me!
What might they find during a landfill search? I am thinking perp probably didn't throw out anything from the scene (clothes, shoes, weapons) b/c he probably knows it can all be tested and such.... CSI and other such tv shows have probably made it even harder for LE to do investigations b/c perps know what LE can and might do!

I'm still thinking about the chair. Some speculated that it could have been held up as a shield but I have a different idea. What if there was a struggle and one shot got fired towards the chair's location by a person at floor level? That might cause the upward trajectory through the chair's bottom that we think we are seeing in the photos. JMO.
Yes, that's even harder to figure out. We don't know how the chair was used or how it ended up getting struck by a bullet if that's what happened. I guess it's possible that it could get hit from a person on the ground with a gun. I don't know anything about guns, but wouldn't the person have to be holding it or aiming low to strike the underside of the chair? Or under the chair for the bullet to go up towards the seat? Imo

Are they supposed to go back and look for anything that could be missing or out of place?

Perhaps the aunt/caregiver was asked to look at Jayme's clothing and belongings to see if anything was missing ie. coat, shoes etc. I am assuming that as the caregiver she would have the most knowledge of these items

Regarding the reasons to hold off calling 911 OR not having time to call 911. I've personally had my door kicked in, ran to my bedroom and he kicked the entire door frame off the entryway to bedroom. My ex was stalking me, real winner. He left 10 minutes before kicking the front door down. When he came back, he WAS coming IN. I finally called 911 while he was kicking down the bedroom door. I didnt want to call 911 and have him arrested a 5th time (DM is very real) I didn't want to go through a scene at my house again. I didnt want the neighbors all standing outside to see the Jerry Springer sh** happening at my house. (if he'd not been at house just before, the phone wouldn't be in my hand, & there would've been NO time to get the phone to call 911)

I called the police when my ex called me while I was out, from inside my house. The police acted like I was wrong for leaving the deck door open for my dogs. I was out for about an hour. It was summer and my family has always done that. It was still daytime. He also peed in the house (talk about winners lol). That was one of many incidents, there always are with a stalker. If you feel like you are going to be treated poorly by police or that it might cause more problems than it's worth you might not call 911. Not everyone has their phones on them. They could be charging, in a purse, left in the last room you were in. It has to be attached to you for you to call immediately.

Many bodies have been found in landfills, that's probably the thought behind it. Or disposed of in dumpsters. But with all that wildlife around I would think the killer would find a good spot to dump a body. Weren't they interested in the area around Turtle Lake? Jmo

what are the reasons Jim would go to the door? And yet, the door was kicked in. So, it would make sense whatever he saw on the other side he didn't want to let in and shut it rapidly. I wonder if he was just letting his dog out, unaware someone was laying in wait outside and then he saw them, shut the door as they kicked it in.
idk I just keep trying to make the scenario work that Jim answered the door and it was kicked it.

would a second person going to your door and getting shot have gave the seconds to change when you made the 911 call?
Yes it could have

Yes, and since no coat or jacket that she would normally wear, or shoes or sneakers were reported as her wearing I am assuming she was taken with just her pajamas or whatever she wore to bed. I don't think the killer stopped to let her bring anything or put on warm clothes. It seems he just took her with just the clothes on her back. Imo

Maybe the perp rang the doorbell and as soon as he opened the door he realized it was not someone he would trust so maybe he tried shutting the door and got it partially shut but the perp used his foot to kick the door back open.

I would like to see more pictures of any of the door damage. I think I missed any pictures of it.

IF jayme had her own phone that doubles the chance of a fast 911 call. she may have been asleep threw the start of it, but I doubt she slept threw the first shot. we don't know if she had her own phone and age considered I am not placing any blame on her at all.

If he was woken up by knocking or a doorbell he might have automatically gone towards the door. When you wake up sometimes you don't know what time it is. He could have been trying to secure it shut if he realized he didn't want whoever was at the door in his house or he could have thought it was a prank by kids.

I would think a doorbell being rung at that time of the night would have been met with a gun... unless the person was expected.

Did they have a house phone?

I think since her parents appear to have been shot right away upon entering the house, Jayme was the last person the killer got to. I think she was the one who made the call in the few minutes before he found her and the call was disconnected because he took the phone away from her and then got her out of there fast. Jmo

I'm still trying to make sense of the sequence of events with Jim at the door. If his feet were visible to the arriving officers that would mean the door was completely open behind his body.

To me this does seem to mean that the door was kicked in, then Jim arrived to confront whomever was there, and may have actually moved them back a bit, before the intruder shot Jim. Since they mention the feet being visible to the officers, IMO, means he had would have had to move outward onto the front landing a bit, rather than barricading, or pushing against the door from inside.
